Came here on a Sunday around noon. Plaza is at a great location - at the corner of Jefferson/Kalmia, across the street from Murrieta City Hall. Should have plenty of parking. Ambiance - interior honestly isn't that nice, its small and cramped so intended solely as a to-go spot, doesn't seem intended for sit-down dining or even spots for taking pics, it's just a standard very boring donut shop. My mom was in the mood for donuts, so I got the 6 donuts for $10.50 deal, but the lady let me know that since I wanted an apple fritter, it'll be an extra $1, which I said was fine. It was these 6 for $11.50 + tax = $11.96 total. Not a bad deal. Good value, and donuts were all good - the dough texture and flavor were perfect. Would recommend. read more

I've been looking for a delicious doughnut shop in Temecula for years! There are good ones, but not great ones. So I decided to extend my search a little further away into Murrieta. In one morning I drove to three shops. Yes three! I take my doughnuts very seriously. I deserve amazing doughnuts with my coffee once in a while. TK's is THE ONE! I tried the heart glaze, round maple and old fashioned buttermilk bar. They were all so delicious! I wake up every day thinking about these doughnuts. Luckily for my health's sake, it's ten miles away from me. But on those mornings when I need a great doughnut or when guests stay over, I finally have a place I can get excited about. read more

These donuts melt in your mouth. I ate three different kinds in one sitting (yes, three! I can't help myself around donuts), and each one was better than the next. Of course, I had to get a glazed twist, which is my favorite kind of donut, and it was magnificent. You can tell a twist donut is going to be good if, when you pull it apart before you take a bite, the dough kind of pulls away from itself like cotton candy. Then, when you take a bite, it just melts in your mouth like spun sugar. A great donut is a tactile and sensory experience, and that's what TK's donuts are! We kept it simple and stuck to ordering a dozen of the more traditional donuts: a couple of glazed twists, an old fashioned, some frosted donuts with sprinkles, a couple of chocolate bars, a maple glazed, etc. When it comes to donuts, I am a traditionalist and a lover of the classics. But looking at TK's menu, it appears that they also have some interesting donut variations, like donuts shaped like people, heart-shaped donuts, football-shaped donuts, and donuts shaped like snowmen. Nowhere to sit! The donuts are a hit with the kids, and you can get three for the price of one of those scones down the street. But they have a big open space with tables and chairs stacked in the corner, unused. When I arrived early in the morning and asked if they could put the chairs out for us to sit, the employee told me the owner doesn't want anyone sitting and eating there. Not very welcoming! She suggested some outdoor benches across the street, so she's doing her best, but sounds like this owner is a piece of work who doesn't care that the facility is off putting to customers. I don't know if I'll be back, as there are plenty of other places to go around here. I don't go places where my business feels like an imposition. read more

I'm sorry to say my first visit will be my last. The issue is, and I'm not being remotely dramatic in saying this, this is the most stingy donut shop I've ever seen...no joke, ever. Not only are their donuts literally half the size that you'll find anywhere else, but to confirm a picture another reviewer posted, they skimp on the filling like crazy. The thing that's most frustrating is I've been trying to find a non-gourmet donut shop for a while now that has Bavarian cream donuts, but they seem impossible to find at local businesses, 99% of them just don't experiment at all even with slightly different variations of the ones you'll find everywhere else. TK's on the other hand, while they didn't have a Bavarian cream, they did have a Boston cream with maple instead of chocolate and the worst part is it was really good. But, when you're charging the same price as other shops for donuts half the size...it's not even remotely good value. It's sad because I wonder, was this place always like this or are they struggling to get by and doing it to cut costs? Because I can imagine if this place has been here a long time and it wasn't always like this, it must've been the GOAT and I can only imagine how a local who used to go here all the time would feel about how much they fell off. read more

They charge me 10.66 for 6 donuts when on the thing it said 9 something & up. I asked for 2 glaze 2 maple & 2 chocolate. She gave me 4 glaze 1 maple & 2 chocolate. Honestly this place is just ok... I guess it's a good back up if Vista Donuts just around the corner is closed. They have a similar selection as Vista but the quality's not the same -- for example the Chocolate Chip donut I attached a picture of has so little chocolate on the inside it's laughable... and the overall size of this particular donut is smaller than at other donut stores. The rest of my family said the taste of their donuts was fine, but not the same (not as good) as other stores. I mean it was still a decently good donut (hard it mess up a standard glaze twist right??) but from our experience you can definitely get better tasting donuts elsewhere. Also: I don't mind paying the .50 for a credit card purchase -- but at least tell me first, or a have a sign posted.... Butt don't say, "It's $8.95" and then be sneaky add .50¢ super fast without giving me the decency of telling me first. I had cash on me... maybe I would have paid in cash instead... Maybe I would have said it's ok just charge the .50¢ ?? Her trying to be sneaky is what bothered me a bit-- that and her slightly rude comment to my son about a donut they were sold out of bothered me a bit-- just not a good customer service experience. Once a donut touched my tongue for the very first time I could feel the tingling feeling of happiness zooming around my body. This place is my version of heaven. The service there is astonishing and they just take their little donut tongs and slide slide them off the paper with such skill. What a sweet sweet sound. It takes a lot of confidence, leadership, and love to work at a donut shop like this because you have to be responsible for making each donut with the taste of an angel floating down onto the earth all the way from mars. I came here with my brother during a week day. It was like 90 degrees out and my bro was craving a donut. I've never been to this donut shop before but it's my brothers go to location. As we walk in, we are greeted by a woman, and man. I believe they are husband and wife. They were so patient, and kind. All of their donuts looked delicious... Especially the pink heart shaped ones. Hehe! We ended up getting a dozen glazed donut holes, two cinnamon twists, and a apple fritter shaped like a foot. Hehe! This place is greatly priced.
