Place is small cute and family friendly. Food is great service is always fast as well. I love the environment that the place gives.

A real shitty way to run a business! There website and fb page states hours of operation. This is the second time it "should be open" that we drove the grandkids 1hr 30min to see the dinosaurs. Both times the girls in the ice cream place stated that "someone is on the schedule and should of been there since 10am". This time we asked if there was someone to call to open or a phone number for us to call and the girl said they can not tell us that. We called number on door (which had open sign on it) and it is full voicemail. The sign says open, fb and website say open, and the girls working say it's open, but not open. We were here at 1130 and stayed til 1222 and there were 4 other cars with kids waiting. Maybe should change hours or have someone working. read more

Upon browsing for reviews,I've noticed there are no pictures of ice cream...and then devoured my own "red velvet" cone,forgetting to take a picture myself! Cute corny roadside place that I'd recommend to take a stop at when driving I-80. Ice cream alone was well worth it - and quickly served! read more

Cheap and enjoyable road trip stop. There are other restaurants, statuesque dinos, and a mini golf course in Dr Doolittle's Plaza (?), but we came here for what seemed like the quickest option. It is also very, very cheap. You can eat inside or sit out on a bench. There are ordering windows inside and outside as well. We got a hot dog, cheeseburger, milkshake, ice cream, fried cauliflower, and a large curly fries for less than $25 (including tip). They had a variety of ice cream flavors. I got the banana cream pie which was very much exactly what it said on the label. I wish we'd had more time to spend here because I'd love to see what their other restaurants are like. There was plenty of parking around and we had no trouble even with a Uhaul and a car tow. read more

This place is a GREAT stop off of I-80. The LIFE-SIZED dinosaurs set into the hills of PA are spectacular, not to mention old train cars, model trains, mini golf, coffee, and ice cream. But seriously: DINOSAURS!! Delicious iced latte (whole milk, coffee flavored (no syrup)). Smooth and delicious with no burnt or bitterness. So good I got a second one after checking out the dinosaurs and train cars. The depot building is beautiful and the bathroom was actually lovely. Friendly service. The only thing I would add would be a changing table and hooks for coats/bags in the bathroom. This is worth getting off I-80 to see. Worst service ever!!! They decided they were no longer serving 15 minutes before closing and left us standing at the counter for 5 minutes with four small children who were promised ice cream after their dinner. We spent $100 on dinner there and will never go back. The person working there said she had to work up the courage to come tell us that we couldn't have ice cream even though they were technically open for 15 minutes. It was a birthday celebration, too. Nice job, Dr Doolittle. You're customer service lives up to your name - Do-Little. Sorry to inconvenience you. read more

Definitely just ok... This place is really cool for kids, but lacks a bit of clean up. Dinosaur exhibit was cool, but some of the things didn't work and the trees make it difficult for anyone 6 foot. Food was actually really good, but the lady at the bar seemed a bit overwhelmed and complained openly that someone didn't show. Overall not terrible, but certainly some opportunities. read more

This is a pretty interesting spot with lots of this for kids to enjoy. The food is average but filling, the diner is kitschy and cute. My daughter loved the iced coffee from the cafe, and we were blown away by the dinosaur exhibit and the trains. Service was good and the whole place is less than a mile away from I-80. read more

Holy Mac and cheese bites at a little hole in the wall! I've always gotten off this exit to refill and sometimes spend the night at the holiday inn, but never have I ever made it to this little restaurant until yesterday. The daily specials are a STEAL. It's usually fairly busy, but the staff is generally attentive. Lots of things on the property to see if you have antsy little ones waiting. I was with a party of 6 when I stopped here the other night. I've been to the place before for birthdays and mini-golf a time or two, but I don't think I have ever been here to sit inside and have a meal. It was pretty cool. The tables and chairs looked like they were from the 1950's or 60's (but in really good shape) and the decorations were neat. Outside were several train cars, a replica train station, some farm animals and wood carvings. I ordered ahead and got to the restaurant just before my food was ready. I got a foot-long, fries and fountain drink and was very happy with how everything looked and tasted. GREAT PRICE too. I'll have to remember to stop here more often. read more

We always go up to the window, never been inside. We're like this place, but I have never encountered one friendly person at the windows. They always act like you are bothering them and the girl working the window today slammed or shut twice with all her force and was nasty. read more

We get take out from Dr. Doolittle's on a regular basis. The food is good and it's really a neat little place if you eat there. I'd love to give 5 stars but every single time I get take out, something is forgotten in our order. I definitely recommend taking the time to go through your order before you leave. Which is hard because they always tie the bags shut. BUT the prices are hard to beat! And they have the original Bailey's hot dog sauce on the DuBois Dog! read more

Dr Doolittle s has came a long way! I love all their food and ice creams and their is speedy service! You will never have to wait long! The employees are also very polite and helpful! I have went here a lot and they have never got my order wrong! But, you may ask why I'm not giving them five stars? Well I'm only giving them 4 because, their needs to be better parking up front and In not dirt areas! Paving the parking lot would be helpful! I go their a lot with my grandma and the stones get under and in our shoes and is very painful and I worry about her falling. Another this is the air conditioning in the main room get wayyyyyy to cool and it's freezing even in the winter! Lastly the girls restroom was not working so we had to use the men's and that didn't even lock! And when the lady's restroom did work their was flys all over the place! Awesome place! The fast food menu is large and too cheap for how good it was. A family of 4 could eat and drink for under 20 bucks. The ice cream is equally Good and affordable. If fast food is not for you, there is a restaurant attached, where they serve you in a rail road car. Both are surrounded by attractions for family fun, put put golf, laser tag.... Back to the fast food, there hot dogs are larger sided and only cost 49 cents! Their Du Bois dog has a wonderful special sauce, and it costs 75 cents!!!!! read more
