Fixed a loose pull chain and replaced a damaged lift cable on one door. Also replaced the bottom rubber on same door. On second door, replaced both springs and changed safety cable. I hate to give this type of review but feel it must be said. About two weeks after the installers came to put in a new garage door opener the door wouldn't close. It would get stuck at a certain point. I had to use the emergency release. I cleaned the wheels and gave the metal a spray with garage door spray and it worked again. Now two weeks later I can't close the garage doors. I have to use the emergency release again. I have called the installer's phone number, both of the Doors Done Right phone numbers, and have left messages on all three. I can't seem to get through to any of the numbers which is disconcerting. read more

Very professional. I appreciated being able to get basic pricing information all just over the phone/online (I had a general sense of what we needed from other estimates I'd gotten). We replaced a single car garage door as well as the door opener. I had some broken panels when I called Scott asked me to send some pictures to check whats the issue instead of charging for coming in and checking the damage, which most of the other companies do. He gave a fair estimate using the pictures. Stuck to that cost and recommended changing the springs, as the ones that were currently put in was not for that garage door. Changing the springs made the door well balanced. I was never able to open it manually with old springs, replacing them made the door open with little effort. We've been living with a 1/2 functioning garage door for more than a year because its one of those things I always meant to work on fixing myself. Life somehow always seems to takes over and I never get the chance to do the research online to figure out how to fix our problem. Somehow a late night browsing yelp led me to Doors Done Right, which I was extremely excited to find out was based right in South Brunswick. Equally exciting was the awesome reviews these guys have.... I knew I just had to call to get our garage door problems resolved. An email was sent last night and by 9:00 the next day I had 2 calls from Scott, the owner, looking to tackle the task. I ended up speaking to Scott later in the afternoon and by 3:15 I had one of their company vans in my driveway and Brandon, Scotts business partner, at my door Brandon was extremely knowledgable about what our issues were and answered all of my questions about the process of getting the garage doors fixed. We also discussed how to prevent the same issues from happening again and how to keep our kids safe while they are in the garage. An hour or so after Brandon arrived he had things working properly, actually better than I expected. The garage door went up and down quietly with no more banging springs and squeaky metal rollers. Very simply, these guys are great. I had a broken spring on my garage door. They came over, quickly assess the problem, walk me through my options, and then showed up on time to replace the door quickly and efficiently. They were also very competitive on price. The garage door of my rehab project wasn't opening properly. After some research, I came across Doors Done Right and decided to make an appointment. Scott answered and said he could come as soon as that day. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly he could have come but since I didn't live at the house, i asked whether he could come another day. Scott was very flexible with his scheduling and we agreed on a time frame. On the day of the appointment, Scott was punctual and immediately assessed the problem. He presented me with "good", "better", and "best" options along with how each increment was better. I'm actually sad that I can't give Scott more business. If I needed to fix garage doors every month, I'd go to him for all of it. But he ensures his work so ironically, I don't think I will get to hire him again for a long time to come. 1. Customer Service: He is exactly what I look for when I work with people. Timely: First he came right in the window of time he allocated to me. After he inspected my garage door, it looked like he would need more time to fix it, so I saw him call and update the customer after me to let them know of this. I overheard him give them the choice of if they still wanted him to come or not. I really like that he's so mindful of other people's time. Oh and the window of time given to me was 2 hours. That's great. I'm used to companies giving you a 5-6 hour window and then still coming late. You won't have to deal with that with Scott. You won't regret it, promise! :) I called Scott the week of Thanksgiving because of an issue my parents were having with their garage door. The door would no longer move when we pressed any of the remotes or wall pad. I told him the issue we were experiencing and he had me try a few things to determine what could possibly be the issue. He provided several different solutions and gave estimates on how much it would potentially cost depending on the alternative. He gave me a 2 hour window for Saturday on when to expect him. He called to let me know that he would be arriving closer to the end of the two hour window or a little bit late because his job in the morning required additional work than anticipated. Scott arrived maybe 10-15 minutes after the original time window, but I appreciated that he called to let me know he was running late. Before he entered my parents' home, he asked if we would like him to remove his shoes. I thought this was so courteous of him to ask before entering instead of just assuming that he could wear his shoes inside our home. Scott inspected the garage door, tracks, wall pad, etc. He then gave us options on how to fix the issue (replace gear track, replace entire unit, etc.). I like how he gave us several options instead of trying to upsell us on having the whole system replaced. We did end up choosing to replace our old system (it was 20+ years old), and he gave us options for what kind of unit we wanted as well. After he installed the unit, it was louder than normal. He tried to tweak a few things and it was still not to what he considered normal. He ended up switching the unit he just installed with a new one which definitely was less noisy than the first. I appreciate that he was honest about the noise level not being normal and took the time to remove the unit he just installed with another one. Instead of trying to just leave it "as is" and make us live with the noise (honestly, we probably wouldn't have even noticed since our old one was pretty noisy) and avoid having to spend additional time at our home on a Saturday night, he was honest and took the time to make it right to his standards.
