Plus you can see their selection baked goods. I looked at the menu prior and had a sense of what I wanted. I started with the Pastelito de Pina. First time ever hearing about this. It's solid. The crust was sugar coated and unique. The pineapple filling was smooth with a sweet texture. I mainly came to get the pupusas and try Salvadorian tamales. I got a bean & cheese pupusa and chicken tamale. When I open up my pupusa, instant cheese pull. And it was pretty good. They provide some kind of slaw on the side. I put the slaw and some hot sauce on top...creating the PERFECT bite. I tried some of my sisters shrimp pupusa. Personally I wouldn't order that but it was tasty and flavorful. I've never had a proper tamale so the chicken tamale was my first. The texture is really smooth and light. With seasoned shredded chicken all through out. For my first tamale, it was good. I also tried the fried tamale and it was a whole different story. The exterior was crispy and dark in color. Inside it was sweet with a corn taste. I was like wow. They paired it with a white sauce that was really good. Making me think of sour cream and cream cheese in one. We brought back a tres leches and flan home. The Tres leches was really good. It wasn't soggy and held up well. The flan cake was good but the sugar juices on the bottom tasted burnt. Which was distasteful. Service was okay. I felt like it could've been better. They weren't disrespectful or anything. If our server was new or having a bad day my apologies.

This is a small family operated shop everyone was friendly and our server kindly answered our questions. There are a few tables to dine in, with plates and flatware; not paper and plastic. I had cheese pupusas, cabbage salad and plantains. For those who don't know I would describe pupusa as a hot sandwich it looks similar to a pita bread but is made of corn flour. It's filled with choices of meat, beans, and cheese. I will be back with non vegetarian family to try more options. The cheese pupusa was hot and Delicias as promised! cabbage salad was basically a creamy coleslaw. Some pickled cabbage also came with the pupusa. Both were very good. Plantains were sliced thin and fried, sweet and ripe, they were served with a rich cream sauce. Pickled onions were also offered we they were very good but I don't eat onions. My SO had a breakfast of eggs, corn tortilla, large slice of white cheese, refried beans and plantains. He ate all the beans and made an egg sandwich with the rest. This might not be the traditional way to eat a Salvadoran breakfast but he enjoyed it. He also had a house salad which he said was very fresh. I will be telling others to try this spot!

I got 3 different pupusas, the pastelitos, and a Jamaica agua fresca, and everything was as good as I remember. Everything was delicious. I'm Salvadorean thus qualified to rate this place highly. Their tortillas tasted so good and homemade. The pupusas were so good and were generously filled with quality meat. I love when places don't premix the filling: I like seeing the cheese separate from the meat. Oftentimes when premixed you can barely see, or taste, the meat. Our main courses were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The tamal was delicious, yes I'm also a tamal snob. Horchata was great, too. What can I say, I have zero complaints. Is it aesthetically or visually appealing? Of course not. But I personally never care for that when choosing restaurants, as long as hygiene or cleanliness doesn't doesn't look questionable.

The slaw also looked less than appealing- it seemed like a different combo than I am used to here- but also just looked old. On the upside, my son loved trying his first pupusa (without slaw). Service was wonderful, and I love supporting local businesses. I can see from my previous photos that the plates were ceramic. Maybe it was an off night?

Not knowing that this new owner doesn't give a crap about customer service or what he give his clientele. All he cares about what money they spend and don't care about it . I will never go back to this location and the owner Miguel is the worse ,giving an excuse for his employees stupidity and not caring that i live an hour away and will not be able to get back and deal with the issue . If you are unfamiliar with pupusas, they are a Salvadoran culinary delight. Think of them as a glorious meat pancake and you will only get to about halfway to the glory of what a pupusa can be. Pulling into a shopping plaza that has definitely seen better days. Parking was a bit limited, but not too much of an ordeal. El Paraiso Latino is certainly a very humble place, the kind of establishment that you would not look at twice, but missing this place would indeed be your loss. It is usually at these hole-in-the-wall type places that you will find some great food and here was no exception. I ordered two pupusas and a steak taco. The steak taco was a bit small, however it was tasty. The pupusas were decently sized and were also tasty. Prices were a little higher than what I normally pay, but not by much. This lunch was a bit over twelve dollars and I walked out feeling stuffed and contented.

The hosts/owners are some of the nicest, friendliest people we've come across and you can tell that they serve their guests with love. The sandwiches are fantastic and they make the best Cuban sandwich in the Kissimmee area that we've tried so far. The roast pork served with rice and beans (another staple in Latin cuisine) is lip smacking delicious! The pork is always perfectly cooked and we especially enjoy the red beans. So yum! The coffee and the horchata are fabulous too! This is the kind of place where you come for the delicious food and stay for the friendly service. A little piece of home away from home.
