I meet up with a friend in Fort Pierce every few months and we pick a place for lunch; today I had located Sonora Eats, which had very good reviews on Yelp and elsewhere on the internet. The location is a little awkward but there is parking in the strip where it's located. There isn't a ton of seating, so large parties would be difficult to seat. The food and the service were top notch!!! I had a fish taco and a steak taco and my friend had a birria quesadilla and they were so good, so flavorful and packed full of protein! The owners/workers were so friendly and checked on us constantly. Prices were also reasonable. I would come back and I wish I lived closer because I'd be here all the time. PS: the hot sauce is not for the faint of heart!!

Really great Mexican food. We usually stop in for breakfast, but tonight we had some great fish tacos for dinner. Amazing family owned and operated business. We are so lucky to have them here.

Amazing fresh food from Sonora Mexico. Most impressive was the cleanliness of this restaurant.

Great food, service and super clean. The ambiance is like a 90s cafes. Good spot for a coupes date.

Today my friend and I tried Sonora Eats for the first time. The food was absolutely excellent. Best fish tacos I've ever had with their home made salsa (great flavor with some heat). Also tried the mollete and the Sonora dogos. Great flavors and excellent service. We bought some homemade tortillas, Cajeta and Piloncilli cookies, and hot sauce to go. We will definitely be back. This is our new favorite Mexican restaurant.

This Saturday afternoon, I was taking my 16-year-old nephew on a little restaurant-hopping adventure, where we're trying places I've never been before and tasting a few appetizers along the way, so I figured this was the perfect opportunity to finally stop in. There's plenty of parking, and you definitely won't miss this place while driving by. I had been told it was kind of a biker bar, but it was pretty empty when we arrived, so we didn't really get to experience that side of it. When you walk in, there's SO much to look at--colorful signs, pirate and mermaid statues, decorations everywhere, and tons of seating options both inside and outside. We decided to sit outside near the giant tree under a covered table. It was definitely hot and humid that afternoon, though! When we first arrived, I went to the bar and asked if we could sit anywhere or if there was a hostess stand. I was told to just find anywhere we wanted to sit, so that's what we did. It wasn't very busy, although I wasn't really paying attention to how many employees were working that day. There was another table across from us, and when a waitress came over to help them, she looked at us and basically said, in a pretty snarky tone, "I guess I'll go get you menus too." She definitely did NOT seem like she was in a good mood. Thankfully, we ended up getting a different waitress, and she was absolutely wonderful! She was super friendly, helpful, and from New Jersey, so we had a nice little conversation with her. As for us, we were pretty simple. My nephew ordered a sweet tea, I grabbed a beer, and we shared some jalapeño poppers. We hung out for a while, enjoyed our drinks and snack, and then headed off to our next stop. We weren't difficult customers at all--we were literally just looking for a quick snack, a refreshing drink, and then onto the next place. Despite the slightly awkward start with the first waitress, I'd definitely come back. I'd like to experience the place when it's busier and really get a feel for the atmosphere because it definitely has a lot of personality!

Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the reputation. We started with chips and salsa, and the chips tasted exactly like Tostitos straight out of a bag. The salsa wasn't bad, but it felt more store-bought than house-made. The smash burger was cooked fine and came with a generous portion of chips, but it wasn't particularly memorable. Nothing about it stood out from what you could get at countless other casual spots around town. If you're looking for a laid-back place to enjoy the waterfront atmosphere, Little Jim's delivers. If you're coming strictly for the food, you may leave wondering what all the hype is about. I'd come back for the setting and a drink, but I'd be hoping for a stronger showing from the kitchen next time.

Good vibes and atmosphere. We ordered a couple margaritas - which were VERY good. Then 4:00 rolled around... and it was happy hour! We didn't know that their happy hour was DAILY. So that was a nice surprise! Then the people started flooding the place! Glad we got there early haha The margaritas.... wow. We tried a few different ones and they were all so amazing! The most unexpected and unique one was the spicy avocado one - don't knock it, till you try it! Made with fresh avocados, it was like a delicious tequila smoothie almost. SO good. I also tried the Guava Habanero (available for happy hour), delicious! My husband ordered a few spicy margaritas to his taste, they can make them as spicy as you'd like! Food - we ordered the smoked spanish octopus (not happy hour). This was VERY good. The octopus was cooked perfectly and had great flavor! Then from the happy hour menu, we got a chicken quesadilla and a carnitas taco. Both yummy! Really enjoyed the quesadilla! I hadn't been in here a very long time (since when they first opened) so we had a great time and definitely will be coming back for happy hour again. It's a GREAT HH!

The Highlights: * The Snacks: We started with guacamole and chips. The chips actually came out warm, and the guac was solid. * The Drinks: My margarita was ice-cold and hit the spot. * The Mains: We went all in on the mains: a burrito, the pork belly tacos, and a combo plate with chorizo and carnitas tacos. The service was a little on the slower side, but since the food was good and the vibe was relaxed, we didn't mind too much. It was a great meal overall--definitely a spot we'd drop back into if we're in the area again!
