My 5-month-old son had developed an unusual discharge from his penis, so we brought him in to be evaluated. Unfortunately, the doctor who came into the room never even introduced herself, so I do not know her name. From the moment she walked in, her tone was loud, dismissive, and unnecessarily rude toward both my husband and me. While examining my baby, she forcefully pulled back his foreskin even after I explained that I only retract it gently as far as it naturally goes without forcing it. She continued to pull it further back, which caused visible fissures and pain to the tip of his foreskin. Seeing my baby in pain because of an unnecessary action was extremely upsetting. After that, she stated that the only way to know what was happening was to catheterize my baby to obtain a urine sample. When I respectfully declined that option, she became irritated and began lecturing us about how parents' fears sometimes prevent problems from being detected early. While I understand that doctors need to explain risks and options, the way she spoke to us was judgmental and unprofessional. What made the interaction even more shocking was the way she asked about my son's care. Instead of using appropriate medical language, she asked, "Do you guys peel it back?" This wording felt extremely inappropriate and unprofessional for a pediatric medical setting. As parents, we came in concerned about our baby's health and expected compassion, professionalism, and respectful communication. Instead, we felt dismissed, judged, and our baby was physically hurt during the examination. I brought my child with no sort of pain , just looking for a diagnosis. Now I have him at home suffering from that bad procedure and guess what , with not a single answer I hope the hospital takes patient experience and bedside manner seriously, especially when dealing with infants and worried parents.

The provider began the procedure by making an incision and placing stitches, but the tooth was never removed. He then had to recover from a surgical procedure, deal with pain, swelling, medications, and several days of eating only soft foods, all while still having the wisdom tooth. We were told he needed to come back because a specialist would evaluate him using a different type of X-ray before deciding how to proceed. However, at the follow-up appointment, the specialist never took a new X-ray. Instead, they reviewed the exact same X-ray that had already been taken during the first visit and determined that the tooth is sitting directly on the nerve. At that point, we were told he needs to see an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. This left us wondering why the referral to the oral surgeon wasn't made before the initial procedure began. If the existing X-ray already showed enough information for the specialist to determine that the tooth was on the nerve, why was my boyfriend put through an incision, stitches, medications, pain, and recovery without the tooth ever being removed? To make matters worse, after everything he went through, the refund isn't even being returned to the original payment method. Instead, they're issuing a paper check, to be picked up in a week.. which only adds more inconvenience to an already frustrating situation. We understand that not every dental procedure goes as planned, and we appreciate that the providers stopped rather than taking an unnecessary risk. However, the lack of communication, the unnecessary recovery from a procedure that didn't resolve the issue, the confusion about needing a different X-ray that was never performed, and the cumbersome refund process made this a very disappointing experience. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this office based on what we went through.

I do not feel safe or comfortable returning to this clinic due to the poor quality of work and lack of professional standards. I paid $5,400 for treatment that did not meet reasonable expectations and caused me inconvenience, emotional distress, and a complete loss of trust in the clinic. I have also filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and may pursue further action with the Florida Board of Dentistry if this issue is not resolved. I cannot recommend this clinic and caution potential patients to carefully consider their services.
