Stopped in to grab some tequila. Not a grand selection but they did have the basics. Was able to grab what we needed and check out quickly.

It's a pretty decent selection with good prices and an accessible location. When I'm passing by my friends house in Doral, I stop here for a cold bottle of bubbles that I know I can score in record time without being stuck in an annoying line. When it comes to their whiskey, I like the artisanal inventory they carry alongside the top well-known favorites and recognizable brands. If you're knowledgeable about wine, this is a great spot in the area to pick up a robust bottle for the perfect dinner accompaniment. A small storefront with an interior that is actually larger than it seems. Every nook and cranny is filled with wine and liqueur and you won't have much space to walk in between. Despite the somewhat cramped environment, it's done with style - I felt like I was in some old-school old-world wine and liqueur shop. Anyways, what brought this rating up is not necessarily the fair prices, nor the pretty good assortment and variety they have in stock... but it was the fact that there's some hard-to-find liqueur here that I couldn't even get my hands on even at Total Wine & More superstore anywhere. And this is where I found Santa Teresa's Arakú for $21, voted to be the top flavored rum liqueur last year (it's coffee & rum). read more

My parents are visiting for the holidays, and my dad likes to drink a pretty specific kind of rum made in our natal Cartagena. Being that Miami is such a melting pot for Latin American culture, I was certain that I could score a bottle, or two so my dad could enjoy his favorite drink while visiting us. Checked on line and only a few stores carry it....Doral Wine & Spirits, happen to be one of them. Extra credit given for carrying Absinthe as well... and also our favorite, hard to find, 5 times distilled Vodka from Poland, at a very reasonable price. Breaking tradition, we decided to NOT go to Sobe to celebrate NYE, but rather stay in the nearby area and celebrate the year at my uncle's house. Our friends rallied about, and many extended relatives and friends congregated; all this was fine with me with only one covenant; there MUST be lotsa, lotsa booze. So we were sent to fetch it. 11:09 PM: Sister: Are you friggin crazy?? We will not, I repeat, we will not find a liquor store open in Doral at this hour!! Me: If I remember correctly, there was one open two years ago at this same hour next to Walgreens. Sister: That closed down, they opened a GNC store instead. Me *mutering*: .... f*cking miami.... Sister: What? Me: Nothin... Sister: Ok, let's try the other one... Me: What other one?.... On she drives and lo and behold, there's this teeny, tiny, maim-me Mo called "Doral Wine & Spirits" alive and open, one hour before 2008. The assortment was OK, but not great; lots of specials on the whiskey bottles and the champagne, and I purchased a Ballantine's 12 years for $18 bucks, and a Moet for $13. Not bad. My sister got a whole friggin gallon of Smirnoff vodka for $8 bucks! And one last welcome surprise was the presence of Lambic Belguian beer that I proceeded to add with gusto. 11:58 PM: Everyone: 10....9....8....7....6....5....4....3....2....1..... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! Claustrophobics need not go. Save yourself the drama! Wine, liquor and beer pokes out from every available surface--in fact, a store attendant was mopping up a dropped bottle as we entered. Peychaud's Bitters Carpano Antica Formula Vermouth This review comes a year and a half after the previous one, so I am pretty sure things have changed. Those first two items mentioned, I am pretty sure it is the only place to find them in southeast Florida. Overall, they have some interesting choices in their selection but they do not have everything. I did not find any rye (Jim Bean not counting) but I did find Right Gin and Bluecoat from Philadelphia. They carry some interesting liqueurs and cordials and a fair selection overall for each category of alcohol. Prices were fair but not great. I did not get the chance to peruse the wine selection and compare pricing on those but a great majority of the store is dedicated to wine. I'm still stunned I actually found the bitters and Antica in Miami. read more

This place is ok, nothing above other Liquor stores. The prices on wines are average and some cases a bit overpriced, they have a large selection, the staff is friendly and well organized. But the mayor flat is not having a wine cellar for old-collectible vintages. read more

The best liquor store in Miami I have found and I have been to many. If you are looking for an obscure bottle, this is where to find it. I went for the Carpano Antica and left happy. Nowhere else in Miami can this vermouth be found. I am now enjoying one hell of a good Manhattan because of this find! There are so many spirits at this store that I have not seen else where that it is mind boggling. This is a typical Doral business. Lots of flash but no depth. They carry many wines, at a stiff price, but know very little about the vintages, their origins, or anything else about wine. Same goes for single malt whiskies. Lots of pretty girls and overdressed guys but no substance. They DO NOT offer a Military Discount. Keep your receipts when buying your wine here, if you dare, because if the wine has soured, they will not accept returns on the rest of your wine purchase. In general, a disappointing and slightly insulting experience! I typically buy high Spanish wines but with no guarantees and no idea of how they treat their wines before stocking them in their shelves, I'd rather go to Total Wines. read more

Horrible customer service!! Went to the store today looking for an affordable wine and found one that fit the price range I was looking for. The wine I chose was advertised as &11.99 so I went to the register to pay for it, a blend called Enamore from Chile. It rang up for a completely different price of $26.99. I informed the lady at the register the price was wrong and that the actual price was $11.99 and the $26.99 was for a wine of the same name but a different year 2007. The wine I had chosen was a 2010. Instead of honoring the price that was advertised the manager of the store said the price was wrong and even a 2010 bottle could not be sold for the price they had advertised. He attempted to find us a bottle around the same price which was infuriating because the most respectful thing would have been to just give us the bottle for the price listed not make us go through the hassle of looking for more wine. One last thing this store doesn't even have prices for most of the bottles. Only a select few have prices, its a headache to go purchase wine there. I refuse to patron this store again. read more
