Was in severe pain all weekend, mouth, cheeks, chin swollen, couldn't sleep, it even hurt to talk. My entire jaw hurt, never had I experienced such mouth discomfort! I tried every OTC I could find. Called every dentist office, looking to be seen! I called Ferres Dentistry and they were able to squeeze me in! The office staff as well as the doctors were so compassionate, gentle, kind and sincerely took care of my needs! It was truly a blessing to find this dental group. I saw Dr. Brianna Webb who made me feel like she truly cared about me! It was an amazing experience and I will continue to use them! If I could give Dr.Ferres and her office 20 stars, I would. I have had extensive dental work throughout my life and have never met a more knowledgeable and caring dentist. I have been seeing Dr.Ferres for over a decade and every single visit I'm impressed with her and the entire staff from reception to hygienist and assistants. So much so that I've recommended everyone I know who is looking for a dentist. Even my father who went 10+ years without seeing a dentist due to fear loves going to the dentist now. I have only written a handful of Yelp reviews over the years, I save it for the worst of the worst. Well, I had a horrible experience at this office with my disabled Marine Corps Veteran father two days ago. Dentist appointments already give my dad PTSD as he has Parkinson's which is strongly linked and largely caused by toxic environmental exposures like mercury fillings, root canals, co-infections, etc. Well, we had to reschedule his teeth cleaning multiple times because two months prior, poor guy, he fell and fractured his hip. When I tried to reschedule it a few weeks after he fell, Dr. Ferres' receptionist refused to make the appointment claiming my dad needed to be on antibiotics post-surgery to have a dental procedure, yes, even for a teeth cleaning, and to get a waiver from his surgeon (just think about that for a minute - a holistic dentist office is saying they won't see my dad for a teeth cleaning unless he's on antibiotics, a person who you know to be neurologically fragile, and you want to further disrupt his gut microbiome?! That was already a red flag). When we talked to his surgeon about getting a "waiver" from him for a teeth cleaning, he scoffed and was like, no, that's not a thing. So when I called to make this appointment for a second time with this same obstructionist receptionist, it was already long overdue. He needs to get regular teeth cleanings, every 3 months, because due to Parkinson's he has difficulty cleaning his own teeth, and we are trying to prevent any further dental complications. The receptionist told me that they had a cancellation for the next afternoon at 4pm. I said, well that's a tricky time for my dad with his nap and his meds, getting him moving again. She replied there were no other appointments until late January. I said, ok, we'll do our best to get him there on time. We were on our way, it was 4:05pm, the receptionist calls and says, if you aren't here by 4:15pm we will have to reschedule. I said, we will be there. Well, we hit every red light, and so it was 4:20 when we walked up to the office door, at which point this crazy receptionist is rushing the door to BLOCK us from entering. "You can't come in here, I told you on the phone that if you weren't here by 4:15pm, you would have to reschedule." I said, calmly, "My dad is disabled. It is very difficult for us right now with his hip fracture to get him moving." Mind you, this person is well aware of our circumstance. We were in route when she called, it's not like we were randomly late, she knows he has Parkinson's, knows that he has had to reschedule this appointment multiple times due to his recent hip surgery, we don't have a history of lateness, and she offered ZERO grace. I was appalled. She literally kicked us out of the office, didn't let us put a toe in, calling out after us, "We have a business to run." Like I said, we were in route, we had extenuating circumstances that she knew about, and WE WERE THE LAST APPOINTMENT OF THE DAY. It's not like it was 10am and there were multiple appointments to follow. The waiting room was EMPTY. I am shocked, saddened, and horrified at the deep disconnect between this person's sense of "business" over patient accommodation and well-being. So, I say, AVOID. A doctor who has someone with such poor interpersonal skills running her office, who would discriminate like this against a disabled veteran by refusing to make accommodation for his Parkinson's, a man who dedicated his life to service, family, and his community, at Christmas time no less, over being a few minutes late, is not deserving of your business. It is a shame this practice is tacking on a $20 per patient per visit COVID fee. Per your email " Keep in mind that none of this was our idea but was required due to Federal & State guidelines to keep our patient's safe during, and following, the COVID-19 Pandemic." Extra precautions and sanitizing is the cost of doing business !! You should feel blessed you are able to conduct business again, many people are still out of work. I have called other dentists, and they are not charging a "FEE" !!! My opinion, you made a selfish mistake. It is your responsibility to protect your patients, not profit from them. read more

UPDATE: 22July19 . For the one star review, read below. The update, Dr Ferres did call me. What a wonderful lady. We talked for a good 15 minutes. She was flabbergasted by what had happened to me with her front office. I can only go on my intuition, but because was so highly recommended, I can only think she is as good as people say, she surly is about a personal and respectful lady. I assured her that I would be there, as a new patient and I look forward to the warm smile she shares with her patients. Thank you google review, without none of this would have happened. PLEASE Dr. Ferres, call me. One may ask why a one star for a Doctor that is so highly recommended (at least to me she was). My answer is easy and simple. Her front desk lady (mature, blonde) is absolutely one of rudest females (I refuse to use the title lady) I've ever run into. I arrived and I mentioned that I was a prospective new client, I didn't have a dental insurance card with me, but I did have the information and I handed it to her and her reply was "I can't do anything with this, I need the dental card". I replied that this was the 800 # and with my name, I thought that would be sufficient. With a total attitude, frown and all, she began to snap at me as to what I needed to do. Since I've always had nice front desks personnel in every Dr's office, this attitude was pretty shocking. My last dentist just made one call to the 800 # and bang, that was it, not here. I asked for my card and walked out. I then called and wanted to leave a message for Dr Ferres, the front desk lady knew it was me and she questioned me like never before, Who was I?, What did I want, did I know Dr Ferres, Why did I want to talk to her, for want reason? (my favorite was), How long have you known her and when was the last time I talked to her. All I asked was "could you please take my number and ask Dr Ferres to call me. As of this day I have never been in a concentration camp, but I feel capable today to inform someone what it's like to be interrogated. Dr. Ferres, Please call me and if one of her customers read this, please relay this to Dr Ferres, I'm sure the unnatural blonde in the front will get to this first and try to hide this from her again.
