Whoever that dark-haired woman working the front desk at the Los Gatos LaserAway on June 27, 2026 around 2:00 PM is -- is your IQ just taking a personal day? (And yes, the less aggressively filtered one, for the record.) I popped in for a quick 5-10 minute treatment. She checked me in, the nurse did the treatment and couldn't assist with a question I had (she directed me ask the receptionist), and then I walked back to an empty front desk with a simple question. I stood there like for over two whole minutes while she and her coworker giggled in the back like it was happy hour. Finally the front desk woman decided to come back & graces me with, "Are you checking in?" Dude I just finished my treatment and you checked me in 5 minutes ago. I've been standing there radiating patience. The lack of basic awareness was concerning, but the rigid, snobby, "I cannot and will not help you" attitude after I asked my question? Chef's kiss of terrible service. Especially from someone whose entire job is customer-facing and it was NOT busy during this time. In fact, she didn't even ask details about what my request actually entailed and the energy was a hard "no" to my question from the jump. She further went on to say that her manager will say the same thing. How wonderfully presumptuous and weird it is to casually speak in someone else's name without their consent or knowledge. Truly top-notch customer service right there. LOL Side note: I've previously inquired about my request over the phone and they said "they might be able to accommodate. Just talk to a nurse when you are in next". As aforementioned, I asked the nurse and she directed me to the front desk. The front desk said "NOPE". So the whole runaround and "too many cooks in the kitchen" vibes are disheartening, unorganized, and unprofessional. At the end of the day, this is MY hard earned money I am paying with and it is absurd how they treated me. Which leads me to the real kicker: I've dropped 10's of thousands upon thousands at this overpriced zap factory, and my tiny request would've literally saved them time and money. But apparently common sense and basic courtesy aren't included with the obscenely priced purchases. The entire experience at the end left me feeling like a nuisance and absolutely terrible, after what should have been a nice little self-care moment after a long work week. Save your $$$ and your skin. There are way kinder, more competent places out there. LaserAway is giving extremely 'expensive' disappointment with their stringent and uncompromising attitude and rules. Are we suddenly in the 1800's where the rules are so black and white...I mean it's 2026...work on your courtesy and flexibility to your 'loyal' and long-term customers and perhaps try to see the bigger picture from a corporate standpoint of how that could lead to future business instead of being recklessly stiff. In summary, hard pass on any future purchases once I complete the rest of my overly priced and already purchased treatments...at a different location (can go w/o saying)!

I totally understand that, but I had submitted the form almost a week before my appointment, and they didn't tell me it required doctor approval until the day before my appointment. I had to make a doctor appointment to get them to approve it, which made me miss my original appointment. It ended up being fine and I rescheduled, but it was frustrating that I only had one day notice about all of this. On to the actual appointment... it was a great experience. Much quicker and much less pain than I had anticipated. I was in and out within 10-15 mins. The space itself is inviting and clean, and the ladies at the front desk are so sweet!!! Louise at the front desk was so sweet and knowledgeable--she explained the different services clearly and was very transparent about her own experiences, which I really appreciated. She was very pushy and I didnt feel comfortable continuing anymore since I felt like I wasnt being heard and she said "you cannot start the treatments without committing to facials" despite explaining that I have an actual derm I see regularly. When I leave messages I never get a call back and have to try over and over again. I had a treatment, received a bill in the mail and paid it. I then received another bill in the mail for the same treatment and called the one 800 billing office. That office is located in the Philippines. They were unable to help me so I called Kalia Dermatology front desk 5 to 6 times over three weeks. I was told no one could help me and that the office manager would reach out. It is now months later and no one has reached out to me to try to help me resolve this billing issue. I am uncertain what to do at this point but to physically go to the office and try to get some help. It's unfortunate. The office has such good physicians, but they're billing an office. Staff are rated a one out of 10. unless something changes, it's time to move on.
