I approached her with a vision, and she immediately began sketching it BY HAND and showing me proofs. That further jump started my thinking, so we chatted via Messenger for over an hour! The next day, I sent her some sihouettes and this got her creative juices flowing even more. 2 days later, we spoke on the phone for 90 minutes (WHO DOES THAT?), and by the end of that convo I had a tremendous hand sketch of the concept. This was a Thursday. BY SATURDAY, she had my first proofs! And here it is Tuesday morning and I have not only a logo, but a complete set of artwork: dark background, transparencies, PDF files. . . everything I need for any possible web environment, stationary or anything else I could possibly think of! There are no words to express my complete satisfaction with Elsie's work. And to top it all off, the price was UNBEATABLE. I highly, HIGHLY recommend Chuck & Heels for all your graphic design needs!

    We run a small business out of our home in west LA. Our printer had been leaking toner. We tried…read morecleaning it and replacing the cartridges. Our 3 year old printer was heavy duty and we did not want to replace it if we did not have to. We could not get it to stop putting splotches on our printouts. I asked all my fellow business people. No one had a printer tech to recommend. I called Unique. They were very nice on the telephone. Sent a skilled technician out the next morning to my home - even though it was a Saturday. He showed up on time, fixed the printer, explained the problem and showed us what maintenance we needed to do soon that we could do ourselves so as not to have to pay him. He was pleasant, professional, and thorough. And the cost was so reasonable. We will call them again and recommend them to all friends without hesitation!!!!

For this…read morerepair we were offered a 5 year service plan which we paid at the time of service with the promise the service plan would be emailed to us later that day. It never came. 5 weeks later it still hasn't come. Their website phone numbers have been disconnected and emails have gone unreturned...with the exception of two, two weeks apart promising the service contract would be sent "right over". The plotter has now broken again and Unique-Tek is no where to be found...along with our payment for the un-usable service contract.

    Poor quality product, poor customer service, no integrity. The banner I received was literally…read morefalling apart at the seams, and the owner Albert took no ownership and no accountability. Told me several dishonest things that contradicted other things he'd told me (see screenshots, and more detail below). Also brought up inappropriate topics. ---- Went down to the store several times, but it was always closed, so I finally called. Albert answered right away and was kind and polite. He said, "Yes, we do banners all the time!" and named several businesses in the area whose banners he'd done (including one across the street from me). He asked me to send a text message of the image I'd designed for reference. It seemed a little strange, but I sent over a quick phone picture of my computer screen's view of Photoshop so he could get the idea. He even asked what program I used, so he knew it was a Photoshop image. I had to pay via CashApp, no receipt provided. No word on when it would be done. After a week, no word, so I reached out to see what was going on. He seems to never be in the shop when he says he will be, or even during his posted business hours - or even at hours *when he says exactly what time to come by*. I had to come by the shop 4 times in a day just to pick up my product. I brought it home and opened it an hour later to find... all the seams coming apart, crookedly sewn, the design WITHOUT a background (which we'd discussed), in no way resized for a 6ft banner as promised (tons of white space). The design was all jagged with no smooth lines because of the pixellation from the TEXT (my original design has all smooth edges, easily seen). I avoided discussing the major glaring issues with the design, and focused only on the QUALITY (loose seams) when telling Albert.He said, "I use a third party service for these. We've never had a problem with it falling apart." But there's a problem with it falling apart already, sir. "Well I don't even normally do banners, but I did one special for you because you seemed so nice and cordial." What about all the banners you bragged about, which I can see right across the street from me? "Since it's a third party I can't give you a refund." Well, you need to get a refund from that third party because this is not displayable quality, sir. Finally I brought up the DESIGN issues. Albert told me the issues were because I had texted him the image rather than emailing. I had never been provided an email to send it to, though. He took no responsibility for the quality OR the design issues. Then he pivoted to asking me about my race, rather than discussing the low-quality product - he'd also asked a ton of questions about my race in the ordering process, and during pickup asked if I was "awake and dressed yet." Inappropriate. He refused to even let me finish a sentence, and consistently talked over me. I tried to get ahold of him (texts and calls every day) for over a week about the refund. I ordered from another store since I didn't hear a peep back, and got one from Paramount that's 3x bigger and cost less. Albert finally responded and is refusing to give me a refund, saying "It looks like *someone* pulled out the seams." Well, I had a fashion line, and I can tell when a sewing machine is having an issue - see my images. This is what Albert thought was a perfectly good product, ready for display. THIS is what he gave to a customer and expected me to be happy with. BE WARNED: Don't waste your money and your time with Signs 4 LA and Albert Swift.

    Customer service is a hidden skill and is the most important element in a "cash for product…read moreexchange". Albert the owner of this establishment is one of the nicest people I have met in years. He was kind, great sense of humor, knowledgeable and offered sound and creative direction when I was placing my order. He listened and had foresight that made my decisions easy. His pricing is competitive and his work is great.
