Decided to try this place after an endorsement from my husband. Pros: Online ordering Discount for being a new member and loyalty points. Good variety on menu Prices are okay Food: Fajita nachos- these were okay Taco salad- okay- shell was kind of odd tasting Enchiladas rancheros were said to be very good Chicken fingers- gobbled up, the fries were not a favorite and they forgot the drink that was supposed to come with it. Better than your average Mexican restaurant. I stopped in on a Wednesday evening to a relatively quiet restaurant. I sat at the bar as I always do and was quickly greeted by a very friendly face. I gave my drink order and was given a menu. Chips and salsa came out immediately. I had asked for some spicier salsa than usual. I received a delicious restaurant style salsa that was excellent, a habanero salsa that had a nice kick to it, and a ranch style sauce that was also very good. Food came out quick and was delicious. Looking for a chill Mexican spot in Mounds View? This is your spot. I was looking for a Thursday night dinner place and stumbled across this spot. The parking lot was large, with plenty of open spaces. As soon as we walked in, the host greeted us and sat us down. After being there for under 5 minutes, we had chips, salsa, and drinks at our table. When it came to actually ordering entrees, it was tough because the menu was so large and everything looked good. The server suggested her favorite burrito order, and it was 10/10! My husband ordered tacos, and he liked them as well. In all, our bill was under $30, which is a win in my book. Drinks were, well let me say this, Ive wasted a lot of dollars trying to find a spot that actually knows how to make good-tasting spicy margaritas and this one was delicious and premium top Shelf margarita for only $12.50 (ask for a spicy perfect margarita, you'll understand what Im saying!) But outside of the great food and drinks what impressed most about this place was the hustle and bustle of the staff. From the moment we sat down the attention to details to not only us but every guest that was in the restaurant. Not once did I see staff sitting around or on their fun. Instead they were constantly checking in on tables and making sure we all had what we needed! The music playing was just my type reggaeton! The food portions were perfect. I had 2 lingua street tacos, 2 al pastor street tacos, and 2 perfect margaritas tonight. On a previous visit I had the chilaquiles Mexicanos. I went there for a meal with my mother. There was another group there and I noticed they had a small dog with them (inside the restaurant). It clearly was not a service dog. It was wandering underneath other tables and wandered up to ours, the owners did not seem to notice or care that it was doing this. But what really got disgusting was that it kept shaking itself off. It must have shook itself off about a dozen times. My mother is allergic and all that dander that was flying in the air was starting to concern us. The meal itself was not anything special but the fact the restaurant allowed this in the first place was a little gross. It is impossible to have a sanitary restaurant when stuff like that is allowed. read more

Ill be honest and straight forward. DOS Hermonos, el herradura, el zocalo, fiesta Cancun and Teresas are all about the same except price. Fiesta was the cheapest 5 years ago. These places make Acapulco look like Taco Bell! The difference between them all really is the difference in the menu, DOS Hermonos has a lot of different items than the rest. Most for the good some for the worse. I recommend DOS Hermonos and if you know the back story its even more interesting. I recommend moundsview just as much as the Brooklyn park location, I just wish the added a tapps to this location, but they do make up for it on drink specials. read more

Called back after they hung up no apology and still could not provide an answer that had anything to do with the questions I was asking.
