Round started out nice on the front 9, then winds seem to blow hard on the back 9. Conditions are great, just watch the wind, as it will affect your flight and distances. Tee'd off at 11:14 and finished at 5:40. The groups in front were horrible. Not only were they poor golfers, but they were slow walking to the ball, slow walking to their carts, slow everywhere. No marshalls anywhere on the course. No one there repairs ball pitch marks. The greens had divots all over. The fairways were in very good condition. Blue tees were ALL up at or near the white tees. Not very challenging for single handicaps. The course layout is nice, but honestly the course isn't work the 5:30 round. read more

Went to this course with friends and turned out pretty good.. Layout of the course is nice, the fairways were wide open which made it more forgiving on bad drives and greens were kept up good.. There 1/2 lb hotdog is huge and tasty especially with a 32 oz beer only for $5 can't beat that.. A lot of complaints about the course and condition its in. I have played here many times over the years and this place has made leaps in the improvement of the course. I am an avid golfer that plays 1-2 times a week. The cost is cheap and the front nine is very challenging. You can't put down the course condition when a lot of the issues especially on the greens fall on the players. Every time I play here I repair atleast 4-5 ball marks on the green from the groups ahead of me. That is the players responsibility to reapair not the employees. When you have a lot of divots and ball marks that go un repaired it will wreak havoc on course conditions. The staff has done great things to improve this course and for a $20 twilight rate, don't expect to play at Augusta. I love this course read more

My Fiancé and I have been Annual members for 3 years and we really like this course. Friendly staff and great prices on their beer. Great Dos Lagos hot dogs. They keep their course green and their prices are good. Stan and Jeff have always been very helpful and runs the course well. Jeff and Stan have done a great job with marketing and helping to run the course. Kathy has demonstrated strong work with her weddings and other events. We found a special online and decided it was worth the drive up from San Diego to give it a try. I had friends who had golfed here and gave somewhat positive reviews. There are definitely a lot more hills than I expected and not too many easy lies. The fairways were in good condition, but the greens were pretty bumpy. I was a little disappointed in the bunkers. Partly for finding the bunkers but having to hit out of them when they were wet. For the price we paid, it was worth it. Not sure if I would have paid normal price though. read more

Held the course record at one time so I loved the golf course. It is well designed for the amateur golfer. A little bit of everything. Some flat holes, some uphill, some down and some blind shots. Its a decent place to golf. I think I expected more with a name like "Dos Lagos". They lost 1 star for not having a driving range; they have a cage with a net set up to practice swinging. And they lost the other star because I expected more from the course and the club house. "Dos Lagos" is a nice name for a course that lays halfway between Corona and Lake Elsinore. For those of you that love to golf and enjoy the serenity and peace that the golf course provides, I highly recommend that you don't play this course. We played this course this week and had a horrible experience. I am normally not a complainer by any means, but due to the lack of customer service on behalf of Terry the Manager/Head Golf Pro and his staff, it was an experience I had to write about. The course itself was nice up until the beginning of the back 9. After we stopped off briefly for a quick snack, we headed over to the 10th tee. We waited for the group ahead of us to get out of our range and began playing. (Mind you, at this time we had no one behind us) As we finished up the hole we were approached by one of their staff members. He began asking questions and told us we were backing up the course and out of line. When we explained we stopped off briefly to pick up a sandwich he told us that he has to wait to eat until his lunch break and we should wait until we are done with all 18 holes.... I don't know about you, but I don't like when someone has the audacity to tell me when I can or can not eat. At this point we were furious, but instead of causing a scene we remained calm. After he was done harassing us, he sent us on our way and told us we could continue playing. As we were preparing to tee off the 11th hole, he approached us yet again, jumped out of his cart and began yelling, "I don't know what's going on, but you guys can either join the two some that's 3 holes in front of you, or go to the clubhouse and comeback another day." He claimed that we were holding up the players behind us. First off the players behind us were still not even on the green of the 10th tee yet, and secondly we were waiting on the players ahead of us to finish up. At this point we couldn't hold it back anymore and told him we wanted a refund because we never wanted to come back. We went to the pro shop and the manager approached us and asked us what the problem was. As we began to explain to him, he cut us off and told us he doesn't need to hear what happened because he already heard it from his staff member. (WOW, Great customer service skills on behalf of Terry....doesn't even listen to what the customer has to say) After arguing back and forth, he then offered us a rain check for 9 holes to come back and play another day. Let me stop here and ask you a question, If you were harassed by a staff member, your day was ruined, and the manager had no empathy for your side of the story, would you want to come back? We refused to take a rain check and wanted our money back, but he refused to give us a refund. He then walked away and told us that's all he could do. Finally he came back and told us we had two options: We could either continue playing the back 9 or we could take a rain check. At this point we were fed up with the situation and decided to leave the course. In tough economic times like these, Managers like Terry should realize that companies are fighting for the consumers dollar and the way to treat customers is not by letting them leave your place of business upset and never wanting to come back. read more

Played there on Thursday April 9th and the worst yet. Took 3+ hours to play 9 holes and then we called it. Marshals are a complete joke he spent more time hitting on the cart girl than anything else. This was the 3rd and final time I have played here and 2 out of the 3 we had issues with groups playing extremely slow (marshal letting 6 people play together) and we asked if they could let us play through and marshal did NOTHING. 6 Hours on that day and we left on the 17th hole. This time it took 3 hour and 20 minutes to play 9 holes!!! What a joke!!! Really too bad because the course conditions are good and would be a great place if they get new management. We talked to some guy that claimed to be a manager named Stan (tall brown haired guy) which was just a waste of time. Just shock his shoulders and walked away. read more

Oh man, we have been playing this course for several years but it's become a joke. The fairways are pretty good but the people who play here are lame and have no etiquette what so ever! I cant understand how these type of people insist on not fixing ball marks or filling divots. All the courses have turned into this ever since the prices have dropped to the cost of a large bucket of range balls. The people with the umbrellas beat the traps to death and have total disregard for us regulars. What a shame!, what a shame! read more

Wedding Review: At the beginning everything we askd if we could do or could happen was sure no problem..Then as time passed and we got closer to the big day thats when things changed. My biggest issue was that when we book this venue we were told that we would be the only event of the day. I was told that there would be golfers but by the time of our ceremony most of all would be thru playing and we would have the venue for just our wedding. Well about 1 month before our wedding we get informed that there will be a Big golf tournament the same day as my wedding, oh and the location I wanted to have our ceremony(the whole reason I booked this venue) is no longer an option due to the tournament. It turned out to be a BIG headache, I feel that Kathy really needs to get better organized.I got soo tired of dealing with her inconsistent answers that I started emailing her so I could have proof to what she said because she'd forget what she'd say. Two days before the wedding Kathy calls me to say that everything had been delivered and that the reception room was all set up (tables, chairs,liens and dance floor) so I could come in the morning and set up. So the 9th my family and I come in mid morning and I'm shocked. The rooms a mess. Its dirty not vacumed there NO dance floor, no chairs and the table clothes were not the ones I had wanted. So I call Kathy, she had the rudest attitude. Things got fixed but it was a BIG inconvenience. When Kathy did arrive she just walked in with the correct table clothes.. didn't say hello to anyone just had a bad attitude. I went up to her and asked if she was Ok. She said No and went on about how her Boss was upset and what happened the night before..drama that a Bride doesn't need the day before her wedding.So the day of the wedding so many things went wrong but thats to be expected I quess. However what I don't appreciate is being charged and paying for something yet NOT receiving that service. For example. I know we did not get the same food as when we did our food tasting. A lady from the catering company was supposed to be there to make sure the food was prepd correctly and she wasn't there. Our salad looked like it came from a grocery store (bagged salad) as well as the breadsticks which were disgusting. There was supposed to be fresh bread for our guest to have with their salad and Italian dinner. When we asked Kathy why there was butter on the table but no bread she said oh they only brought enough to be served with the main course.Then to top it off the lasagna wasn't the same. Both my husband and I commented how delicious the lasagna was at a food tasting bcuz it didn't have any ricotta cheese.The lady from the food catering company stated that it was her daughter-in-law special family recipe that she did not make it with any ricotta cheese however the day of the wedding the lasagna was full of nothing but ricotta cheese absolutely 100% not the same food.. When you spend over $2,000 on a meal to feed your guest you want it to be EXACTLY what you agreed and set the menu to. Lastly because we chose to have our food plated and served to our guest Kathy said she would need to have two EXTRA servers to help get our food out. So we paid for the two extra server and guess what we didn't get two extras all we got was two.. Because we had only two servers it took forever for our guests to get their food.. Seriously over 1hour. I even offered to go and help serve because I was soo embarrassed our guests were having to wait. To me thats unacceptable. Then at the end of the night Kathy comes up to my husband and gives him and extra bill from the bar.. hummm we had a set amount so why did the amount go over. Oh that's because Kathy asked my mother if we wanted to increase our amount and my mom said I don't know you'll have to check wth the groom.why would you ask anyone especially when we already had an agreed $ & that amount had been paid so why even ask? And if you do ask make sure you ask the person thats going to be paying the bill not someone that has no say so. In the end we made the best of it all.Also I would highly advise that when a wedding is going on, not to have a tournament. While we were taking our pictures we had golfers doing silly things, throwing up the middle finger in the background. When our photographer asked them to please stop they said we paid for this tournament its you that should get out of our way.. because of the behavior of these golfers we are now having a redo photo shoot with our photographer because alot if pictures have these idiots in the background. For the money you'll pay to have your wedding here its not worth it. Its a beautiful location but the lack of experience the staff has and all the changes we had to go through I would NOT recommend anyone to have their wedding at the Dos Lagos Golf Course. Trust me save yourself the headache. read more

My husband loves this course, I have played 3 times with him at Dos lagos. I find it quite challenging and draining. It's always busy and you have a group ahead of you and a group charging you from behind. I feel like I am always being rushed to take my shots. I enjoy a normal pace with time to set up properly. Perhaps they need to look at the tee time schedule to make it a more enjoyable experience. The course is extremely well maintained and I appreciate that. The course is in decent condition and is not the problem. We played a later afternoon round on a Saturday not long ago and had an issue with the cart guy. He had a bad attitude when we were given our carts from the beginning and on the course we were told rudely where we could and couldn't drive on the course. On the 18th green we were finishing and one group was still behind us when it was getting dark and the cart guy blows a air horn to hurry us up! Are you kidding me!? We paid just as much as everyone else, I've never had a time limit on a course. There was a wedding going on at the same time nearby. Probably bothered by the air horn also. If that's the acceptable BS they allow out of there cart guy then I will go to one of the many other courses in the area. read more

Awful experience, slowest pace I've ever seen. Quit on the 16th hole after being out there for 6 hours. As stated by others, no marshall. The low price is nice but it seems to be bringing out the hackers. The group ahaed of us got hit by a ball and we had to dodge 4 balls ourselves. This course has a nice layout. The condition was not so good, but they just got done over seeding. The bathrooms were not available for use. Since it was my first time there I can't say how long, but there was a sign someone did, asking when. Front nine meanders through the hills, back nine very open so I suspect could get windy. Today was a very nice day on the turf. I play the course about 6 times a year in all seasons. The shape of the course hands down is the very best I have ever seen it. The fairways were cut short while the greens were absolutely in top shape. We started on 10 today to accommodate a wedding so that was an interesting change. I tried to play on Aug 27, 2015. It was a Thursday and in a party of two. 45 minutes after starting we were still waiting behind a group trying to tee off for hole three. The play is extremely slow at this course. And this is not the first time. The course is good, but I can't spend 6 hours on a round of golf. We walked off and they gave us a refund for only one of the players. They need to get someone who knows how to manage the play. read more

I have played this course several times over the years. Dos is a great value and typically in great shape. The have just begun grading for their new clubhouse and banquet facility. Number 18 has developed some U.S. open style rough to keep balls from going into the lake but you lose half of them in the long grass so pick your poison or bail out left and risk the traps.
