Man, what an experience! Just hosted a 24 man scramble here for me and my buddies. From the onset, the GM Jose was incredibly friendly, responsive and helpful. Through Jose, I briefly worked with AJ - the head golf pro; again, standup guy. After working with them two, I was introduced to Ian, the operations manager. Ian helped get things set up for our scramble (closest to the pin marker, longest drive) and got us all squared away with carts, range balls, the whole 9 yards. Cant say enough good things about the gents here at Green River. Everyone had a blast - and I enjoyed it more, because these guys made it so easy. Thanks for the wonderful time gentlemen! $74 to play with a cart on a weekend. Easy to park, with a big putting green and decent driving range. I'm told their breakfast burritos are killer but I brought my own food and drinks. The staff was very kind. The course itself is in decent shape but lots of gopher holes coming off the tee boxes. A decent difference between white and blue tees. The fairways are wide enough and errant shots are findable if you keep them out of the really tall stuff. Not too much water and, what they do have looks kind of nasty. Excellent greens. The rolling hills make it more interesting to play. The scenery is what it is. Lots of open area, trains coming by blaring their horn and a bit of freeway noise. We finished a bit faster than 5 hours. All in all a decent place for the price. read more

We had our daughter's quinceañera here in June 2026, and everything went very smooth. From the initial planning, the process, and the final outcome was excellent. Our guests were so impressed, we received so many compliments on how classy and elegant the venue was. Sandra and Darian work with you and they answer all your questions. My shout out to the food and beverage director and to the chef, the food was AMAZINGLY delicious!!! We are 100% Mexican family so we know how Mexican food ought to taste lol...and the chile verde and birria was perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. We had lots of compliments on the food as well. The churro bar was a hit! The servers were so pleasant and helpful too. Will I have another event at this venue? Absolutely!! Pretty mediocre golf course with train horns blaring randomly as they pass by the course. I do enjoy walking this course as it's relatively easy, but all the holes blend into eachother and nothing really stand out well. It's nice that it's one of the longer public courses and the price is okay. read more

As of June 1st, 2026, The management at Green River decided to start charging $1.50 per player just to use their website to make a tee time reservation ("technology fee"). For 4 players that's $6.00 for nothing other than using their website to make a reservation. This charge is NOT deducted from the green fees. If you make a reservation for 4 players, you will be charged $6.00. later, if you call, before the 24 hr deadline, to change the number of players (say to 2 players) you will not be refunded the difference (in this example $3.00) they simply keep your money. In my case, personally, I've been booking two tee times for 8 players for quite some time. This new charge equals an additional $48.00 per month for me. $48.00 per month for nothing. I can join the player club at Dad Miller for $50 per month and receive priority reservations (tee times two weeks in advance), a large bucket of range ball daily for free, a free drink with every round, discounts in the pro shop and other benefits. There are plenty of other quality golf courses in the immediate area. For example, after joining the players club at El Prado ($65 per year) we can play there for $40 with no "technology fee". It's really a shame that the management at Green River would impose such a stupid, money grubbing scam as this on all their customers. read more

I came to play golf at Green River Golf Club, but honestly the highlight of my day was the legendary cart service from Ryan. This man is not just a cart boy he is a cart professional, a cart whisperer, maybe even the CEO of golf carts. Before I even finished my swing at the range, Ryan had a cart ready like he was running a Formula 1 pit stop. I'm pretty sure he teleported at one point. Need a cart? Ryan. Cart slightly crooked? Ryan. Need emotional support after a triple bogey? Also Ryan. Coolest guy out there. Smooth service, great vibes, and honestly the carts have never looked better. If Green River ever loses him, the entire cart ecosystem may collapse. 10/10 cart service. read more

Let me preface this review by saying that I generally love this course and have been playing here for many years. The staff and overall atmosphere has always been great, with the condition of the course vastly improving over the years. However, the last few weeks has been mudded with one particular issue that is the availability of their golf carts. Fun place to play golf, but the leaves make it difficult to find the ball, even on the fairway. Slow pace of play today but the layout was decent and the course had a good variety of par 4's and 5's. Price was fair, and there was a cart girl who was consistently showing up at the right time. I like when the course leads back to the clubhouse at the turn, for a quick bite. Price: Great rate to golf thirty five dollars on a beautiful golf course! Cart is included and the drinks are good. Course: Conditions need updating; this is why I left out a star. The location is beautiful and it has a lot more to offer. My observation is that the roads to drive around need to be tidied up. The cement needs updating and signs are missing; it's easy to get lost. Also, the train tracks are used to go back and forth, and again signage is needed. I think for safety reasons, more needs to be done to prevent accidents. Overall its a nice coarse but lets add some TLC its needed Green River! read more

So I live in chino and regularly play Prado and Los Serranos but have added Green River to the list of courses to visit. I would call It a cross between Butterfield stage at Prado and Los Serranos south course. They've done Some Work to the bunkers with white sand in every one of the course. You get some target golf and elevation changes and fairly long with a great landscape in comparison to other courses for the price. read more

**DRIVING RANGE REVIEW ONLY!** It's been difficult for me to find a driving range where you can hit off actual grass vs mats and unfortunately, they only have mats at this location. The mats weren't in the best condition, but it does the job. Pulling into the parking lot, you can immediately see a section of dirt and trees used as the driving range. It was a strange scenery for the driving range that was separated from the clubhouse by the parking lot. It was pretty quiet, but because we were right next to the parking lot, you can hear cars driving by. A big plus was being by the trees that provided a little bit of shade. But it was a bit unpleasant having flies and other bugs flying around you while you're concentrating on your swing. They also have some benches set up if you want to rest in between your shots. It was $13 for a large bucket. We ended up having to fetch our own buckets since they didn't have any by the machine, but we didn't mind. This is one of the closer driving ranges for me so I'll most likely be back. read more

Traveling from Boise Idaho in our RV , visiting with our Son in Yorba Linda, we stayed at the Canyon RV Park which was only a few minutes away. Played on Saturday July 26, rating lost 1 star because the Greens were recently aerated and Pro shop didn't mention it or give any discounts. Nice track. Old course with character. Paid $35 with a cart at 3:40pm. It's imperative to hit the fairways and greens. If not, your ball is lost. Lots of leaves and overgrown grass/weeds. Greens are bumpy. People need to repair their divots. Cart paths need work. Lots of potholes. Their par 3's are long. Pro shop is nice. Staff is friendly. I would play here again. read more

I'm writing this review as a beginning golfer. 18 rounds was relatively cheap at $65. Good variety of par 3s, 4s, &5s. Greens were not too hilly wear balls went pretty straight. Nice open greens for a little cushion when slicing and drawing. Tom at the first tee check in provide a welcoming intro to the course with kindness and humor. read more

Green River is a hidden gem that gets more beautiful the more you play. Visiting players may be turned off by some of the fairway conditions, but regulars know that the employees are the true beauty of this course. If you need lessons (let's be honest, you do), AJ is your guy. I've gotten many lessons from him and I bring him all my friends like I'm trying to sign them up for a pyramid scheme. I've seen him teach children, highschool students, seniors, and everyone in between. Everyone gets better when they get a lesson from AJ. Seriously I will name my first-born child AJ because of how good he's made my game. Everyone who works at the shop is super kind and knowledgeable, so you feel like you can ask them all your golf questions. From the manager Jose to Julio, Ian, James, Ray, Ryan, Tom and anyone else you see around, they're all A+ people. Everyone who works here has a high golf IQ and is willing to share any advice they have. I've picked up some awesome stretching techniques from Julio, and this guy hit a 60 once (set a course record) and is so low key about it you would never know. This place feels like Sesame Street if Sesame Street was built on a golf course. It may not be the perfect course, but it has a unique charm that grows on you every time you play. If I was Marie Kondo I wouldn't throw this course out, because it brings me joy. read more

This was probably the second time I played here. But " I WOULD NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN " due to what happened yesterday 01/03/2025. I uesd their web portal to book a tee time for 3, and the price was $59/person but when we checked in and got charged $72/person. I asked the guy at the pro shop what happen he simply replied that was walking rate. Every other cources that we previously booked the rate on their portal does include cart, but at Green River Golf Club they didn't mentioned anything at all and when you showed up they will ripped you off. I would had played somewhere else if the case. WHAT A SHADY BUSINESS THESE GUYS ARE. Green River needs a lot of work. Greens are chunked up, fariway is not well maintained, carts are in bad shape. Not worth the $56 weekend fee. Course is quite bit with some slopes, wouldnt recommend walking unless that's your thing. No warning from the starter that the first green would be impossible to putt on. You'll be navigating endless construction around the course, dealing with trains passing, and praying that the next hole will be in better condition. read more

Currently playing on Sunday 8/21. Bar closed at 3pm. 3 group backup at hole 13. 3 hours into the round. 1 cart battery died. 5 groups ready to tee off at 1st hole. So far 2 holes are in the middle of the fairway not even on the green due to maintenance that no one told us about before hand. One of the worst experiences I've had playing golf. Will update after 18. Turn is at 13 and it was 60$ for the round Sunday at 1pm. read more

(2 star upgrade) I'll give the course a 2 star rating, course is decent but usually has lots of leaves on the course and difficult to tell where fairway ends and rough begins. AJ from the pro shop explained that the pace of play on a Wednesday afternoon is 4.5 hours. Seems kind of long, especially when I'm watching the group ahead of me re-tee on par 3 holes. Not the worse but for the price, I would suggest elsewhere for better value and better experience. read more

I cannot recommend this course. The fairways are horrible. Gopher holes everywhere and bumby everywhere. Not a smooth surface anywhere on this course except the greens. It needs a lot of work. Additionally, I booked my tee time online for $64 only to be told upon check in I was being charged $70. They did not honor the price through their website. When I questioned this I was simply told the website was wrong. Is that my fault? This is just unprofessional. I will not go back here. Used to play here 20 years ago and loved it. For the price it's still a good place to play. Range was closed on a Sunday and the range does look awful. Course was in reasonable shape and greens were good. I can't complain about the greens when very few players fix their divots; I was repairing easily 5-6 per green. Cart paths were bumpy and torn up a bit and there were many rough bumpy spots on the course. The cart ride was just a rough experience around this course. It took 5.5 hours to play and we waited on every hole and every shot. That was the tough part of the round. read more

I used to play this course all the time. Yesterday I played it for the first time in 2 years. What a shock, to call it a cow pasture would be too kind. Fairways had crab grass tuffs all over. Weeds overgrown everywhere. So sad to see a really nice course fall victim to Covid restrictions !!! read more

The rating is a bit generous currently at 2.5 stars. Worst golf course I've played at ever. Giving two stars only because the staff is so friendly. Really small and short driving range. Wasn't even open until 9am. Trains going by and blowing its whistle every 15 minutes it seems. Fairways and greens are in horrible shape. Divots everywhere. My ball was regularly in a divot on the fairway. It was so bumpy driving in the carts that open beers were spilling all over the place. Carts have no GPS and no front windshield. Our cart was super squeaky. Bunkers were either hard as cement or had pools of water in them. Hasn't rained in over a week in the area. The fringes are loaded full of tufts of grass that you couldn't even putt through. I will never play this course again. read more

Events and Catering man in charge Carlos is very Unprofessional and Rude and treats others like they are a fly he's swatting away. I heard him tell an older man who was there for a anniversary party to "get out of here ,go sit down we're passing out cake when we get to you we'll get to you" . This man came up to him while he was cutting cake and his staff was passing it out. But this manager of Catering has no respect for and is very mean talking and will urgue with the guest . He says he's been there 20 yrs and NO ONE ever has complained about him . I find that to be a Lie, when you meet this guy you will know exactly who he is . He's very UNPROFESSIONAL, he was reported to another management, but he still does what he wants. He talks down to the Event Servers, and I truly feel sorry for these young people who has to experience him as a Leader because he is very scarring , and will traumatize you for life. I can't believe there is no one else that this facility can get to run such an important position as holding weddings., birthdays and celebrations. I would never hold my event here because of this man right there who will be there at your event and that would probably be embarrassing and hurtful and insult your guest as he's done so many times that I've seen him do that there . And he gets away with it . I hope more people speak up about him so they can get rid of him . He's a horrible person and V has no love or support or is even happy that you are there . The Positive: The staff at this course are awesome, and have good people working here. The Negative: This was the worst golf course I can remember playing on. I honestly can live with dead grass and splotchy fairways, but there are actual holes and ridges all over the course which make it almost unable to drive on with a golf cart. We spent the hole day moving our balls out of holes dirt/rock patches that littered the course. I would honestly not play golf here if someone paid for my round. Do not book a round here until they put any sort of effort into this place. read more
