The course is challenging enough to work on all approach shots and avoiding hazards, and the two par 4s are great for practice with a 3-wood, mini driver, or driver. The Good It allows you to work on almost all facets of golf for a par 3 course that's a 9-hole. Also, the greens have some hills that will make even a scratch golfer rethink their line. While the driving range isn't the best, the putting green is great for practice due to the slopes. They also allow chipping around the green, but it is in a very limited space. The Bad The greens could be a little more taken care of, and the divots desperately need to be filled. Because it is an affordable public practice course, it unfortunately means there are divots everywhere. Personal Thoughts/Experience If I could, I would play this course 2-3 times during the week, and save the nice courses for the weekend. read more

This course is an absolute gem. The views are beautiful the whole way through, and the course itself is in great shape; lush green grass everywhere and really well maintained. One thing I really liked is how easy it is to walk. The layout flows nicely, so you're not exhausted by the end, which makes the whole round way more enjoyable. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. And the driving range is a nice bonus too; really cool setup and a great place to warm up before your round. We visited Birch Creek this past Sunday and had a great time! It's 9 holes and we were able to hit the range And putting green to warm up prior to tee time. We had to carts and really enjoyed our time. Took us about 2 hours on the course and it was decently maintained. Parking and check in were super easy. Great local spot for beginners! read more

One of my favorite golf courses in the area for a quick (as quick as 9 holes can be) game! The staff here is always extremely friendly and helpful. The holes are all well maintained and vary in difficulty level, making it fun for players of all level types. Pricing is also reasonable, and yes, they do have clubs for rent! And yes, they're nice clubs- honestly, ashamed to admit, but the rental clubs are actually nicer than my own clubs. Overall, I'd highly recommend this course. read more

Came out here the other week with a friend for the first time and had a blast! ‍ We hit a few balls before our tee time came and got a golf cart. The golf course is very well taken care of. Still new to golfing but the course is very easy to follow and great to have some fun! Everyone here is very friendly and welcoming!! Our golf cart had fixed in the middle of our game- and a worker came so quick with a new golf cart for us within minutes! Was super nice and quick with the service that it surprised the both of us! Booked a 12:05pm on Sunday 2/15/26 the cashier attendant was rude and disrespectful. He rushed us the tee box giving us verbal attitude that we took too long to start when there was a group of guys in front of us taking long to finish. These guys were just chit chatting in their golf cart with zero care. Why don't he tell them as well to hurry instead of just one group. Terrible experience because of this guy. We don't recommend playing here or make sure management can get their employees straight and treat customers with respect. read more

Brea Creek is the best 9-hole "executive" course in Orange County. It's a great course for beginners as well as experienced players that want to work on their game. The course has two Par 4 holes that let you use the driver which is perfect. I arrived at Brea Creek with an online reservation for myself. I was hoping to get going sooner than my RSVP 2pm tee time. The guys at check in were accommodating as I requested to be put on the wait list to join up with another group going out. I was told that I'd be slotted in at 148pm, that's only 2 slots ahead of my original time. Not sure this would have worked if I was an hour ahead of schedule. It's worth a shot though. I had a GPS watch plus GolfBrea also has GPS function on their app. The app came in handy as my watch was a little slow to load. Looks like the range finally got their ball machine installed closer to the range. The coin op got replaced with a code use dispenser. The practice green wasn't super fast but dang, nicely manicured. Seems to reflect the nine greens on course, nicely done. There's no course Marshall. The pair that were to tee off with me perhaps went back to get something. And maybe that was their intention to split from our grouping, play on their own, and cause more slow down. I understand how golfers get angry at slow play. This location is relaxed I suppose, not my problem as they were now behind me. So, this turned out to be a 3 hour twilight round. If you want a quick round, that's for the early birds. read more

The maintenance has been excellent! It has been constantly and carefully maintained. The manager Nathan and his crews are polite and kind. The course condition has been great for many years. For the 9 hole course in Orange County, this course is the BEST condition challenging course for the price. The greens are kept very well! I play twice in a week on this course and there's always something newly maintained. A buddy I worked with told me about this course during the pandemic, he said he used to play there frequently before he stopped playing golf. I ended up playing there and it has been my most played golf course since. The only time the greens are in "bad" shape is after a tournament weekend, but the staff is airaiting them. Sure a tee box might be chewed up, but it won't be in that spot the next time you play and the fairways are always immaculate. This is easily the most well maintained golf course I consistently play. It's very affordable, probably the best deal in this area. It's the perfect course to play for me. I'm not good at golf, and this course is challenging in a good way. You get elevation changes, hit over creeks and you have 2 holes around 300 yards. I'm taking getting better at golf seriously, I'm trying to put in at least 5 hours of practice a week as someone who works a full time job and has 2 kids, but I know when I par a hole at Brea it wasn't just a gimme. read more
