I just went to a wedding and it is beautiful here. I am so impressed by everything here.

What an amazing place for a wedding! Our daughter got married here this summer, and it was magical. The reason for the 4 stars is because we arrived Friday morning, having set that up ahead of time, and the greenhouse for the reception was not watered and rolled to keep the dust down. We had a crew of friends there to help with setup, and had to go ahead without the tamping down. It made for a very dusty venue the next day, and the dance floor and all shoes were covered in dust. It seems that once we paid for the site, we were more or less ignored and on our own. Of course, The Orchid is a spectacular setting which allowed us to overlook the lack of attention. Other than that, all was perfect! We're so glad that this loving couple could begin their forever together at this site.

Many reviews about wedding venue spaces online are from the couple's perspective. I thought it might be helpful to offer a different point of view. I would like to offer the light and lines perspective of how Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm unfolds from a wedding photographer's perspective for all the future bride and grooms who may be considering getting married there. So let's dive into it. As someone who sees spaces compositionally, the light, and lines and shapes sit on top of the colors and layers of foreground and background. The first thing anyone experiences when first visiting Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm to scout it out for their wedding is the serene quietness and peaceful energy of the space. Located on the north end of Goleta, you're past the edges of the homes and businesses and into the topography of how the land was cultivated before Santa Barbara and Goleta grew. It feels like a step back in time when you walk through the glass house and old orchid show room. Capturing the energy and ambiance of this space and how the guest's experience it shows through in the final images. The green house has layer after layer of beautiful foliage to play with compositionally. The relaxed and connected experience the natural space gives off shows up in the wedding guests candid moments. All around the property are layers. Layer of texture, layers of color, layers of reflection; and all these layers come along with incredible light. The orchid farm was in it's past a display room for orchids. The organic pathway that finds its way through the glass house has an almost meandering direction. These curves let me layer direction in the composition along with the background foliage from the showroom. The slight curves and dramatic greenery layer compositionally really well for moments like the first look, bridal party photos, and bride and groom photos. I specialize in candid wedding photography and so for me, having a venue like Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm gives me many isolated spaces. Quiet spaces of isolation are very important for me to use for the bride and groom to connect authentically without people watching or an audience. This is key to creating excellent candid wedding photography. Spaces like the green house, the orchid display room, the exterior of the green house rows, the interior of the barn yard and even the green space behind the main house let's me facilitate an energetic space to get still quiet moments of connection and laughing that help me capturing their authentic personalities. As a local Santa Barbara wedding photographer I have experienced many different spaces and how they unfold from a guest's and day-of perspective. The layout, lighting, and layers of Dos Pueblos Orchid Farm create an intimate space where your wedding feels separated in time from the rest of the world. I absolutely LOVE photographing and creating amazing art in this space!

We looked at a lot of venues up and down the coastline and the Orchid provided the perfect backdrop for our wedding day. We fell in love with the venue the minute we drove onsite. From the ocean bluff ceremony site to the greenhouse nestled below a giant fig tree it had every element we were looking for. After our first tour with Lori everything beyond that fell into place. They have great relationships with the vendors in the area and they were extremely accommodating and flexible to our needs. We were even able to host our rehearsal dinner in a smaller greenhouse the day prior. The facility was well kept, clean and provided areas for the bride and groom to get ready. The perfect backdrop for our perfect day.

And the mattress... wow. It took everything in me to get out of that bed! It felt like it just embraced you, and waking up to those top window views made it even harder to leave. The food was incredible--both breakfast and dinner were beyond amazing. Enrique, Rafael, and the entire team (I wish I could remember every name!) made us feel so special. The level of care, attention to detail, and overall service was easily 1000 out of 100. Kat, thank you for everything--you truly made our stay unforgettable. The stables were just as impressive. Jack and all the handlers were not only knowledgeable about the ranch's history, but you can clearly see the love and care they have for the horses--it meant so much to witness that. I'm a little timid around horses, but Russell made the experience so comfortable and special for me. He paired me with Tator Tot, and I can't even describe the connection--he could sense when I was nervous and responded so gently. It was such a beautiful, unforgettable moment. My husband rode Big Elvis, and let's just say... the name fits perfectly--what a character! This ranch is truly one of a kind. An unforgettable experience from beginning to end. We will absolutely be back--this is now our home away from home.

Unfortunately, Circle Bar B fell far short of expectations in nearly every category. We booked Cabin 18, a two-story unit with ample space. However, the cleanliness was unacceptable. The floors were visibly dirty, with cobwebs in nearly every corner and overhang. The shower fixtures were covered in grime, and it was evident that the cabin had not been thoroughly cleaned in quite some time. While we appreciate rustic environments, there is no excuse for lack of basic hygiene and maintenance. A major concern was the food situation. While breakfast and dinner are included, there is no menu provided in advance, and front desk staff must "get back to you" with meal details. There are virtually no accommodations for guests who do not eat meat, and meal planning seems completely random. If the property chooses not to serve lunch, that is understandable but to then offer only minimal snack options is completely inadequate. Guests are isolated on a remote ranch and should not have to leave the property just to find a proper meal. Even simple items like sandwiches, hot dogs, or salads would be an improvement. The lack of child-friendly activities was also disappointing. Aside from horseback riding, there is very little for families to do on-site. The pool and game room are the only options offered. There were no organized outdoor activities for kids no open play areas, no nature programming, no campfires, no stargazing, nothing beyond a dilapidated horseshoe pit that looked untouched since the 1940s. Several buildings around the property appeared neglected and unstable, further contributing to a feeling of disrepair. Staff were polite and well-meaning, but clearly overextended. When the same person checking you in at the front desk is also mixing drinks at the bar, it's clear the ranch is understaffed and operating well below an acceptable service standard. In short, we spent more time leaving the ranch than enjoying it. Circle Bar B might have potential, but in its current state it feels neglected, understaffed, and not designed with families in mind. We'll be returning to Alisal Ranch for future trips a property that clearly understands how to deliver a polished, welcoming, and activity-rich experience for both children and adults.

The other properties that would be in comparison but much more expensive are Rosewood Miramar or San Yisidro Ranch. But this location holds so much fondness and memories for us so we will continue to built our memories here with our annual visit again now that it is updated, and service is slightly better. Thank you for the remodel since I had a few issues with the age of the room and stopped coming back for a few years. We had recently gotten engaged and somehow most of the staff found out and left us such memorable gift bags, room decorations, hand written notes, and even comped our bar bill. That level of detail was amazing since we didn't tell any of them the news, but staff across security, valet, bartenders, and house keeping all kept congratulating us. As for the room - it was incredible. We booked the Ocean View Suite with balcony and we loved being able to sit on our balcony to watch the waves/sunset. The club lounge was also amazing (highly recommend adding). We stopped by there before our dinner in the town to grab a drink, but we were shocked at how good their food options looked (we ended up snacking on some). We both love visiting Santa Barbara and we will definitely be back here!

You literally can just pack clothes and come to camp. The market has bbq kits which include meal, salad, drinks, s'mores kit, firewoods, fire starters and matches, cooking utensils, napkins, cutlery, chef knife, and paper plates etc, I would recommend bringing aluminum foils. There are of course supermarkets in the city where you can get food to cook that are more economical. The surroundings are zen. We got the cabin next to the creek and fall asleep to frog ribbits and woke up to birds chirping. There are bikes free to use. Hiking trails. a llama and goat farm in the premise. Swimming pool. We also walked to a nearby beach. Very relaxing. One thing to note is that glamping is still pretty much wild camping minus the tent and bathroom is conveniently in the cabin. Blinds in the cabin are chipped and can be seen through the gap so be aware. Overall, everyone enjoyed the trip and teens requests we come again. Absolutely a fun little getaway.

More like an adventure camp that is great if you want something super low key for kids. I came here with a bachelorette group and stayed in one of the cabins that could sleep up to 6. The bathroom was super tiny inside the cabin and didn't really make the most sense for the amount of people living in it. Like not enough towels or cups without having to request from the front desk, which wasn't even open 24/7 either. And the amenities were quite old and not refreshed or well maintained in the cabin. It was surprising to me that they didn't really have true housekeeping either. Like we had to call the staff in order to do the bare minimum of taking the trash out and they didn't do much to clean the bathrooms. The kitchenette does not come with any eating or cooking utensils either, so you need to bring your own. Only real pro are the activities and proximity of the location to everything else in the area. But I would not consider this place if you want something upscale.

The best thing about this restaurant is their fries! I never had fries quite like there fries. Their fries are so crispy and is one of the main reasons why we come here. I would usually rate this restaurant 5 stars but after this recent visit I am giving 4 stars. They raised their prices and were extremely disappointed they cut the fries portion in half. Especially since this was one of the best things about this restaurant. I have attached a photo of eating here at Jane's and Aug 2025 and coming back 4 months later to be severed fries that is half the size. They now put the fries in a fry container to make it seem like it's more fries but once you put it on the plate it's such a small amount of fries. The second reason why we come here is for the coconut cake. The cake is always moist never dry when we order the cake however sometimes it can be a hit or miss with how much cake you will actually get. Because sometimes if you order the cake you will get a slice that has more cream and frosting and not as much of a cake layer. Not to mention they raised the price to $14 for a single slice of cake?! Which is so expensive. $14 is almost like ordering half a cake. I really hope that Jane's Restaurant can consider making these changes because their fries and coconut cake is what makes this restaurant amazing Service -Staff is always friendly Note: -They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating -They are in the same plaza that has a few stores and other restaurants close by
