DO NOT TRUST THIS SERVICE I booked Styles in the Clutch for…read moremy wedding (May 12th). I booked months in advance and paid in full about a month before my wedding. I was supposed to have hair and makeup for myself and two bridesmaids. Hair only for the flower girl. THE WEEK OF MY WEDDING (after I had paid in full) I was informed that the hairstylist cancelled and all of their other stylists were busy. They said they had a stylist that they contacted could do my hair, but that she had her own company. They sent me a picture of a hair style she had done. I didn't like it, but they said to look at her instagram. I liked some pictures on her instagram and at this point, my wedding was a few days away so I said ok. I arrived at the hotel early and the hair and makeup team arrived on time. The makeup "artist" was given pictures of what me and my stepdaughter wanted. The eye shadow was ok, but not really like the picture. The eyeliner was completely uneven and blotchy on myself and my stepdaughter. I had to fix/finish it myself. My sister arrived while I was still having my makeup done. She NEVER got to my sister and I only had her and my stepdaughter to do! She has since tried to say it was because my sister was late, but that had nothing to do with it. My sister got there before my makeup was done and was waiting for her turn. She had to do her own makeup. The makeup person said she would let the owner know to refund for my sister. When I complained to the owner she said that the makeup person told her mys sister was late and thats why she didn't get her makeup done. That was totally not true. My hair lady was also given a picture. I wanted my bangs straight, but she did not have a straightener. I had to use my own straightener and do it myself. She put my decorative hair pins in there sticking out all crazy and I had to actually draw her a picture to explain. As a hair stylist you should know what looks good and what doesn't. she wanted to hide the bobby pins in the back so I showed her a barrette I had but hadn't planned on using. She put it in the back of my hair and in every picture it is crooked and looks out of place. My stepdaughter wanted a low loose bun. She just put her hair in a knot that looked like she just stepped out of the shower, it was literally awful! She said that was the best she could do because her hair was thin. My mom suggested she try to curl it for some body first. She agreed and it ended up ok. My 4 year old daughters hair she just secured with bobby pins. I told her it wasn't going to stay and that she needed something more secure for her tiara. She repeatedly told me that she wasn't going to change it. I suggested an inside out ponytail with the top half of her hair. She didn't know what that was so I did it myself and it looked good. I basically paid her to just curl her hair. My sister asked her for a side braid and she told my sister that she DIDN'T BRAID!!! CRAZY!!! I do not think the pictures on her instagram are even her work. When I told the owner about all of this she just said that the hair lady didn't work for her company, even though I PAID THEM, not her. She also said my sister didn't get her makeup done because she was late, which WASN'T TRUE! TERRIBLE BUSINESS Unfortunately I had to learn the hard way, on my wedding day.
