Diana had printed coupons / gift certificates for promotional usage, which did not indicate limitations or expiry, and when it came time for me to use the ones I had, she denied that I could get their full value. The bigger issue, however, was the lack of care she had for me as a person. Additionally, she did not seem to care or forsee that I would not continue to spend potentially thousands of dollars at her establishment. Anyhow, I found only two licensed laser therapists in Ottawa who remove tattoos, and after meeting Diana Murphy, I felt a connection right away - she made me feel comfortable about my decision, and her knowledge and passion for this therapy was evident right away. Even the receptionist who took my calls was warm and welcoming! So I found out that yes, it is painful, and yes, it's more expensive than getting the darned tattoo in the first place, but this is what I want. Diana really took the time to explain every step of the process and was honest about the good/bad/ugly about the process (feels like a burn the rest of the day after the process, it blisters, it itches, and you have to come back for several procedures to completely remove it). My first treatment was not fun - I'm a bit of a wimp I guess, but I thought I was going to faint. Diana knew I wasn't well, so she stopped, as often as I needed, and iced the spot, tried to take my mind off things by talking about my upcoming wedding... very sweet lady indeed!). My second appointment wasn't as painful, probably because Diana suggested trying to get through the treatment in one fell swoop (quicker, get over it - like ripping a bandaid off!). I only asked her to stop once, and she was super accommodating and never made me feel like I was a high-maintenance client (even though I think I am! ;-) I would highly recommend Diana for any of the treatments she provides. She is knowledgable, genuinely caring and nice, and I believe her prices are less than half of what the other place was charging. So booking an appointment is in itself a nightmare as you can sometimes call 20+ times in one day and always get a busy signal. Secondly, when you do finally get through, you'll discover that the closest appointment you can get is always at least two to four weeks away. For this reason, I have most frequently had to visit walk-in clinics elsewhere when I've needed medical care in the past. Sometimes I will schedule follow-up appointments with her for these same issues. Once she told me, "Please do not go to a walk-in clinic, because I get billed for that." I thought that this remark was quite unprofessional and I informed her that I wouldn't have to go there if I didn't have to wait a month for an appointment here. Reception staff are terribly unfriendly. I once stood at the desk waiting over ten minutes for the two receptionists to finish their conversation and acknowledge my presence. Lastly, they do not do appointment reminders in any form - so make sure that you write the time and date down correctly. I showed up 20 minutes late to an appointment once, believing that it started later, only to be told that I wouldn't be able to see the doctor because I got the time confused. I had been waiting for the appointment for weeks. A stupid mistake on my behalf, but this is the 21st century and I do not know what office doesn't send out some form of appointment reminders. Lastly, I once visited her with a severe problem regarding my throat. I told her that I had done some research online, and I thought it was a certain type of virus causing the infection. She told me to "stop Googling my symptoms", dismissed my analysis of the problem and informed me that it was likely a bacterial infection instead. When nothing got better after a week, I returned to her office, begging her to take another look, and she again dismissed my concerns regarding the virus. It took visiting my DENTIST for God's sake, who CONFIRMED that it was likely what I thought it was in the first place, for her to pay any attention to what I said. He ended up having to call her, ask her to order the test for me, and sure enough, when I got the results back, it was positive for exactly what I had thought. I was also informed that the medication I had been taking for the "bacterial infection" that she thought it was had actually exacerbated my symptoms, causing them to last for an exceptionally longer period than normal. If you're looking for a family doctor, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

My only complaint is that i never saw or spoke with the doctor. All communication was through other staff members. I would have liked to speak directly to the doctor to explore options since I spent thousands for the cool sculpting. In the end I was offered a free cool sculpting session, but since the first two treatments were not effective i didn't want to put myself through any more discomfort. I have not been back since.

The first GP we had was on the news for "patient ettiquette" basically talking down to people and telling them what to wear. This isn't a fashion show. People are sick and need care, they're not going to show up in a *ucking tuxedo!! Next, we were going overseas, and needed to see a GP to get our daughter checked out. The GP treated it very dismissively, and booked us an appointment on the same day we were going to leave, so we had to email them (because for some reason you can't change appointments over the phone... well the reason is that they want everything in writing to cover their butts, because their receptionists don't understand English, and can't take appointments properly). The next GP didn't even know which patient she was seeing, she called my daughter by a different name, which likely means she didn't review the file before my daughter was seen. I guess everything is in the computer, right?? They have a policy that you must be 15 minutes early for appointments, but when they are late by 45 minutes, they act indignant if you bring it up, not even so much as an apology. In fact, they start making snarky quips and digs at you. It's unbelievable! Now, my daughter has had severe stomach pains for over a week, and they made her wait an entire week, telling us to go to the children's hospital, who then told us to see our GP!! This place is literally run like the hospital in Idiocracy. If I were dying, and needed urgent care, this is the LAST place I would go, because they'd probably put me on MAID without my consent. When reading this, you might think I'm joking, or overstating things. I can assure you this isn't the case. The only reason we're still using them is because all other GPs are not taking patients in our area, and this is literally the only option. I guess maybe Canada should do better to keep doctors in Canada, instead of having a brain drain to the US, where they actually pay them a decent wage!
