He said he was not going to install the Garage door opener until the door was replaced I said; I would go to Lowes and purchase a door, however, they might not be able to deliver today. He said I will go get it for you. He comes back with a door, no label as to manufactured it. He shows me a bill for One thousand, nine hundred and ninety-nine dollars . He would not give me an itemized statement Lowes had a door like the one he installed for Four hundred dollars. I am 89 and my son was due home from the hospital that week. Steven checked the wiring in wall buttons and motor to the garage door and the brackets where he found cracks and replaced them. He was thorough and efficient. After all of this he reprogrammed the garage door opener to my car. Now with only a tap of a button on top of the rear view mirror the garage door will open or close. Steven is a very fine representative for a very fine company. Williams Door Company has been around fifty years.

The technician arrived at 8, TWO HOURS EARLY. The scheduler tried to get a hold of us and acted annoyed that she was unable to, despite the huge time discrepancy on their end. We provided access into our garage for the technician without our being there. There was one car parked in a two car garage. Plenty of room for him to fix it. But it's against their policy to do so, which I understand. Neither scheduler advised us to have all vehicles removed. That is their job, to prepare you for what to expect. Even though technician could not work on the garage, for some reason he stayed for 45 minutes, according to Williams, to go ahead and diagnose the problem. He told my husband we simply needed a new belt (about 50$ on Amazon) plus we understand we would have to pay for labor. The scheduler called my husband and told him we needed to go ahead and get a complete new motor (working fine) for $500 and that they were charging us $133 for the technician call, who we missed because he was there 2 hours early. I called to complain and to see if they would refund the $133 service call because he didn't fix anything, because they messed up on the time. Talked to manager, Stacy, who was lovely and very appropriately apologetic. She admitted that Williams had "dropped several balls" with our service. However she is unable to issue a refund without the permission of Mr. Williams. She graciously pleaded our case to him, but apparently he is a very greedy man who does not do the right thing and he refused to refund our money. He said he would give us a $64 credit towards that $500 new motor and additional $133 service charge for the following business day. Whoopty doo!! Stacy tried to talk to him a second time and again he refused to do the right thing by his (repeat) customers. Although Williams does heavy advertising, they are not the only game in town. We found a different garage door company willing to send someone out on the weekend that provides free estimates before they bill you. And doesn't charge anything until they actually fix your problem. Don't just go with the name you've heard over and over on the radio. They don't deserve your business or your hard earned money, for nothing in return.

I had American 24-Hour Door Service come to my business because the wind swung open our entry door…read moreand broke the hinges. When we called the tech, he said it would be $250 ($125 Call + $125 Emergency) for the call plus parts. They came by and fixed the door that night and handed me an $1100.00 bill. He replaced the hinges set @ $699 and the closer with arm @ $245 ($64 - Lowes price). I questioned the cost of the parts after doing my own research online. So, I called the corporate office whose number was on the bill just to verify their franchisee is charging prices set by the corporate office. First their customer service rep has the tech that I believe potentially charged me unjustly give me a call. I am not sure how they thought that would fix anything. My reasoning for calling the corporate office was to get an unbiased opinion. They did not understand that. I guess they thought the tech may have a change of heart on the billing. I had to call several times because they were trying to get a copy of the invoice, but they never called me back (only the tech called me per their request). I followed up several times until finally I got someone on the phone, who couldn't really explain the cost of parts. She would try to talk over me when I was explaining the hoops I needed to jump through to get answers. If you want a hinges set and a closer with an arm installed for $1100, by all means call these folks. Don't expect anyone to capable of explaining the cost of parts, and everything will be deferred to the tech's. They are forwarded customer service inquiries as well. If their sticker is on your entry door. Please replace it with another.

Ami came out that afternoon for an inspection and provided a quote with multiple options. All were very reasonable. The next day he arrived when stated, safely and efficiently performed the repairs using the proper tools. He went above and beyond by replacing a bracket and securing some others that had worked loose over time. He then cleaned all of the cobwebs off, lubed, and adjusted the door open/close settings. He then showed me proper maintenance procedures to ensure a long life of use from my door. On the way out, he cleaned up the area better than he found it. Highly recommended.
