I called Williams Door Company because they installed my garage doors 30 years ago. Within three hours Steven arrived and replaced batteries in my remotes because the garage door was opening on its own accord. Steven checked the wiring in wall buttons and motor to the garage door and the brackets where he found cracks and replaced them. He was thorough and efficient. After all of this he reprogrammed the garage door opener to my car. Now with only a tap of a button on top of the rear view mirror the garage door will open or close. The scheduler was rude and unprofessional. They told me their technician would arrive between 10 and 12. We both work full time and are not usually at home. The technician arrived at 8, TWO HOURS EARLY. The scheduler tried to get a hold of us and acted annoyed that she was unable to, despite the huge time discrepancy on their end. We provided access into our garage for the technician without our being there. There was one car parked in a two car garage. Plenty of room for him to fix it. But it's against their policy to do so, which I understand. Neither scheduler advised us to have all vehicles removed. That is their job, to prepare you for what to expect. Even though technician could not work on the garage, for some reason he stayed for 45 minutes, according to Williams, to go ahead and diagnose the problem. He told my husband we simply needed a new belt (about 50$ on Amazon) plus we understand we would have to pay for labor. The scheduler called my husband and told him we needed to go ahead and get a complete new motor (working fine) for $500 and that they were charging us $133 for the technician call, who we missed because he was there 2 hours early. I called to complain and to see if they would refund the $133 service call because he didn't fix anything, because they messed up on the time. Talked to manager, Stacy, who was lovely and very appropriately apologetic. She admitted that Williams had "dropped several balls" with our service. However she is unable to issue a refund without the permission of Mr. Williams. She graciously pleaded our case to him, but apparently he is a very greedy man who does not do the right thing and he refused to refund our money. He said he would give us a $64 credit towards that $500 new motor and additional $133 service charge for the following business day. Whoopty doo!! Stacy tried to talk to him a second time and again he refused to do the right thing by his (repeat) customers. Although Williams does heavy advertising, they are not the only game in town. We found a different garage door company willing to send someone out on the weekend that provides free estimates before they bill you. And doesn't charge anything until they actually fix your problem. Don't just go with the name you've heard over and over on the radio. They don't deserve your business or your hard earned money, for nothing in return. read more

Our garage door failed on Saturday. Called Williams and was told someone would come out on Monday. Received calls on Sunday and Monday morning scheduling the visit. Repairman came by Monday afternoon. Repaired the lift cables on the door in less than an hour. Great response and even greater price. This is your garage door company !!!!! read more

I first used Williams Door in 1974 for my first home and am now in my fourth home in Knoxville TN and have used this company about 7 times right up to today in 2021......the quality and professional customer service is as good as it gets.....Angie and another person in the office were quick to respond to every question and request. Chad was our installer of a new system and completed the work as advertised explaining how the internet and app could be used on our phones.... the installation work was completed on time and area cleaned up.....advised us to call later if we had any questions or concerns. I called Fran at the Chatt. office, had a broken spring on Garage Door, She informed me Buddy could be out the next morning at 9. He was and ascertained what we needed and had to return to office for correct spring sizing. No problem, returned mid afternoon and promptly replaced both springs in no time. Before you call Williams you may want to think twice. I had an appointment with them. They called me at 10:34am the day of my appointment and said they were on the way to my house. I told then it would take 30 minutes to get home. By the way I told them this the day before as well. The women said 11:00 am and I said it would be around 11:00am. They called me back at 10:45am as I was on my way home wanting to know if would be there at 11:00am. Oh by the way they tried to call my wife's phone and hung up in the middle of the conversation with her. I said it would be 11:10 or so. They said they could not wait and would have to cancel. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she was just as rude. The I asked for the owner. Keep in mind I was on my way driving home the whole time. She said he doesn't return calls and hadn't been in since July 2015. This statement explained how they run there company in a nutshell. Any company that is to busy to wait 10 or 15 minutes for you to get home avoid them. None the less I called Farmer Door Company that same day and they had my spring replaced that same day. I will never call them again for garage door service. This is a true story believe it or not. PLEASE THINK TWICE ABOUT USING THIS GARAGE DOOR COMPANY. read more
