Was seen by both the vet tech and vet within 10 minutes. Vet was nice and straight to the point, didn't try and push anything which I appreciated. Was given meds, checked out and on our way by 11:35! This place is Amazing! I had to bring my fur baby in for his first grooming. He is a longer haired…read morecat and his fur had very large matted clumps. We tried many times to cut out the matted fur, but he wasn't having any part of it. We also noticed over time that he wouldn't let us pet him very much either. I figured he was just getting grumpy in his older age. We finally decided to have him shaved and clean up his matted fur. I asked to have him shaved to look like a little lion. They did an AMAZING JOB! He looks so cute with his hair cut and apparently he felt better too. My sweet, happy, lovable kitty was back! His entire personality was back to his old self. He couldn't get enough attention and craved for us to pet him all the time again. We all jokingly said that we may just have to keep him shaved because he is so much happier. Fast forward 4 months later, his fur is not matted at all but not his normal length either. He is biting at his fur and pulling some of it out. Well, the joke is on me, he wants his hair cut again. Guess I have a little lion on my hands and he found his roar! What a difference it made! Also another perk to this location is that it is next door to the Veterinary Hospital.

She put a blanket down so Riley was on the floor and not on a table. We both sat down by him and petted him and talked to him so he was not scared or uncomfortable. She considered the feelings of the animal above her comfort. I cannot thank her enough.

This place was great to visit. However, we were planning to adopt two cats but when at the very…read morelast minute things went wrong (life happens, yknow) and we could only take one. We still adopted one of them but the staff were clearly not happy with us. We took our kitten and got our paperwork and left. Later we checked to see about getting some of our money back and it was obvious that they were still upset with us, regardless of the fact that we had still taken one of the kitties to a nice home and the other one was adopted (or, if not, would be soon because it's a cute fluffy kitten) and nothing really happened that was our fault. On top of that, we had to pay $100 more in vet bills a week later because our cat was sick from any of the 100 cats they have in that tiny house. Apparently this shelter has a reputation with the local vets too. So if you're thinking of adopting here make sure you have the money to get your new sick kitten taken care of and so unlike us you aren't unexpectedly left wanting for food and rent money. Overall, pretty okay place, volunteer staff, what can you expect? I was thinking of volunteering sometime but after this experience I think they're better off without me.
