Steak. Yum.
D R.

Excellent night again. Good stiff drinks. Very nice tomato soup. Especially nice with Gorgonzola bread. Fabulous pork loin with sun dried tomato Demi glas. Pub steak very hearty with mashers and veggies. Sublime.

Front plate is the Snake River farms tenderloin and the rear plate of the 10 ounce Ribeye steak.

This is the only real quality food and service within 75 miles. Been coming here for years and the food has never disappointed.

I had a one night stay at the resort last week. Here is my review…read more PROS: Resort was cute, clean, and reminded me of Summer Camp. Staff members Kayla and Tyler were very friendly and helpful. The Huckleberry cabin was cozy, clean and perfect for my solo trip. CONS: If you take the shuttle to do the Kayak trip, be forewarned that if the weather is shifting/windy, it will be a nightmare getting back to the resort. It started off nice and peaceful; two hours paddling through the Clearwater Canoe Channel. However, when the channel opens up to the lake, the resort is still one mile away, which may not sound far, but when the wind is picking up, and there are waves on the lake so big that they have whitecaps, it is not an enjoyable experience whatsoever. The wind and the waves were coming against me at the end of the channel, and it was a complete struggle to even try to get out to the lake. Once I managed to get out, I was getting pushed back by the wind, and was sure my kayak was going to flip from the whitecap waves; I am not exaggerating! There were other paddle boarders pulled off to the shore because of the same reason. It took me an hour to go one mile, and I paddled as hard as I could the entire time; if I stopped, I would immediately start getting blown backwards. I had pulled off to shore, and called the resort about halfway there, explaining to them how difficult the conditions were, and that a storm was moving in, and I really would like to have a boat or jet ski come tow me back. No one was able to help. Just be forewarned if you have people who are not strong paddlers (kids, older people) this trip will be hell if the weather doesn't cooperate, and in MT, the weather changes every 20min. The description makes it sound like you come out of the Channel, and the resort is just around the corner; this is NOT the case. A staff member even told me that a couple who had rented a boat came back due to the waves and wind....enough said. Also, as predicted, a big storm did arrive around 5pm. All the power was knocked out, and by the time I left at 8:30am, still no power. Luckily I had a cooler with ice, or my food would have gone bad in the fridge. Was not able to make coffee, that was a major bummer. Had to walk around with a headlamp at night. Between the kayak experience, and the power being out pretty much my entire stay, I was hoping I would get some kind of refund, or at least have my kayak trip comped; not the case. Again, Staff was lovely, I just feel there could be better explanations on their website, and that people should get some kind of discount if they go without power for a day or longer; at $200-ish a night, this is a lot of money to basically be "glamping." I would not make the three and half hour drive back to this place, unfortunately.

Lots of mice in food and on the sheets of the beds. We talked with owner and he didn't care or help…read morein anyway. We had to find a place that was safe for our food because we were cooking dinner for 50 people. This was a major health concern. Traps throughout the cabin along with mice poop on all the dishes. I know it is by the Lake and in Montana but this was not healthy. After we found a safe place to stay the owner still charged us for the whole weekend!!! Disgusting !!!

Every winter, we take our four kids on a ski trip. This year we tried the Arrowhead Condos. BIG…read moreMISTAKE!! After booking our winter vacation to the Arrowhead Condominiums, I was pleased to receive an email with instructions about the resort. The day before our arrival, I received another email from Rickley Goodan inquiring if we would arrive on time because the "roads are not good" this time of year. This led me to believe that we should arrive early, since it could be a difficult drive. It did prove to be a difficult drive. We drove in during a storm and it took over two hours to travel the last 60 miles. Luckily we planned ahead and arrived early after ten hours of driving. My four children urgently needed to use the restroom. The following conversation occurred when I walked into the office at 3pm: Me: "Hi, do you have a restroom available?" Valerie: "No" (Silence) Me: "Ok...well I'm here to check-in." Valerie: "Check-in to where?" Me: (Confused. Pointing at Valerie's shirt) "The Arrowhead Condominiums." Valerie: "Well, check-in is at 4pm." (Silence) Me: (Confused) "So should I wait in my car for an hour?" Valerie: (Sat back, rolled her eyes, crossed her legs and let out a deep breath) "Excuse me. What you do with your time is your business. Housekeeping has the units until 4pm. I can check you in but I can't even give you any keys until at least 4. What's your name?" Me: "No thank you, I'll come back." I have never been treated with such DISRESPECT in my life. We have been NEVER heard of a resort not checking somebody in an hour early...or at least have a place for us to sit and wait. When I came back an hour later, I was prepared for more disdain. Surprisingly, Valerie was gone. After explaining to the new employee what had just occurred with the rudest check-in experience I have ever been a part of, the new employee stated, "You could have gone to the Lodge next door. They have a warm lobby, restrooms and hot coffee. It is open to the public." I WAS LIVID. Not only was Valerie the RUDEST person I have ever met, she DID NOT even mention that we could have used the restroom and waited at the Double Arrow Lodge. Other problems we experienced at the Arrowhead Condominiums: · There was a heavy snowfall our first night. The next morning the parking lot and Lodge Way were not plowed until 10:30am. We had planned on skiing in Missoula that day. In order to arrive at the ski resort on time, we would have needed to leave by 8am. We had to cancel our plans. · The second day we were concerned that the roads would not be plowed again. We left a message with the answering service asking to let us know the plowing schedule. Nobody called us back. · We ran out of wood. My wife spoke with a young, female employee in person and ordered more wood. We never received more wood. · During check-in, the employee physically wrote down my credit card number. Apparently there was an issue and it needed to be corrected. On Monday, my wife corrected the issue with the young female employee. On Thursday, I received a phone call, asking if I could come to the office and correct the credit card issue. Apparently, the employees do not communicate. Other Issues: WIFI is slow. You are unable to stream anything. Hot water lasts five minutes. There are security cameras EVERYWHERE. Staff will sit and watch you to try and catch you breaking any "rules." It is painfully obvious that the Arrowhead Condominiums are run by a small group of local people that have no interest in customer service. Valerie was the meanest, grouchiest, MALCONTENT I have EVER met during a check-in process. She should NEVER be allowed to interact with the public again, without serious customer service training. After we left, Rickley sent another email with a list of things we had "damaged." He sent a price list an expected us to pay. After reading other reviews, I realized this is their standard operating procedure. He even threatened to call the police on us. DO NOT STAY HERE. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

The day after our second night, we went to use the hot tub, and this lady comes in screaming at us about how the hot tub was trashed and it had to cleaned. We asked how long it would be down and she said it takes at least 6 hours to fill and heat the hot tub. I checked back later and found out instead of cleaning the facility, they posted a sign that said it would be closed until further notice. I called the number provided and the lady that answered was same one that yelled at me earlier. When I asked for an update on the situation, she started yelling at me on the phone, and started accusing us of trashing their hot tub and if she could prove it we would be charged. Eventually she said she was going to call the sheriff because I was threatening her! I NEVER SAID ANYTHING REMOTELY THREATENING!!! She is absolutely batty! My advise is to avoid this place like the plague! The place next door (Double Arrow Resort) is so much better and they have a pool and spa that they don't mind cleaning either. Also the staff is very nice, they know about hospitality.
