Some highlights: 1) Charged us a per-stem fee when asked if he could store 2 buckets of flowers in their walk-in overnight as we were doing our own flowers to save money. We could only afford a 35 person wedding and some of our guests couldn't afford to stay at the lodge so were next door in the campground. 2) About 10 minutes before our ceremony, I was sitting at the bar with a friend and my brothers, ordered a single drink. Christian made sure to swoop by and tell the server that what I ordered wasn't included in our drinks package and should be charged to my room. A friend said "No, I'll pay cash" in disgust. 3) Staff there seemed depressed, and at one point one of them pitifully informed us it was because working for him was such a nightmare. He was intentionally rude in the most spiteful ways and an angry person in general. Wrote some reviews that he somehow figured out how to get removed in other places, but he would respond to facts like these by accusing you of being mentally unstable. No, Christian, we're just not rich and maliciously bitter. I'm not writing this review because I'm mad at you, even - I just genuinely don't want other people to have their special day ruined because they weren't wealthy enough to make you happy. We weren't bridezillas or something - we planned a simple, small wedding with what budget we could and explained this early on in our only skype call, and there was maybe 4-5 emails exchanged after that. We tried to be exceedingly easy to work with because we knew we couldn't afford all the bells and whistles, and in exchange we felt punished for not being rich enough to enjoy our wedding at the lodge my wife got to play at as a child.

We were greeted by the manger who provided us with complimentary glasses of champagne. At our convenience we were seated for dinner in an intimate dining environment near a crackling fire in the fireplace. Our waitress was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about all aspects of her job. From questions regarding menu items to choosing the best wine this young lady had all the right answers. Being the holiday season there was a Christmas tree lighting ceremony involving a 20 ft fir tree and actual candles. It was amazing. The food was excellent from the appetizer to the entrees and finally dessert. This is a hidden gem in the Seeley Lake area and not to be missed. I can't wait to return.

My wife and I were looking for an "off the beaten path" getaway on our way up to Glacier National Park so we hopped on Airbnb and found this spot which had just been completed. The two owners Brian and Steph live on the other side of the property and were so awesome and accommodating. They own a gift shop near by and gave us free coffee one day too! We learned they built the cabin from the ground up and the inside is so modern a la Magnolia and yet so "country". It sits right at the base of the Mission Mountains (Rockies) and when you wake up in the morning and go out on the porch the mountains are staring you right back in the face. Getting up at least one morning for the sunrise over the moutains is a must! Every morning and every night we were visited by some friendly deer who were interested in seeing who was hanging out with them. There is a full kitchen, refrigerator bathroom, etc. There is also the most awesome couch ever invented. We spent two nights here. The first night we went and had dinner at Ninepipes lodge and the second night we went into the town of Ronan and bought some food to cook dinner for ourselves. It was really great relaxing on the porch after dinner sipping a few local beers and taking in the scenery. They have a cool fire pit too that somehow doesn't create smoke. Overall such an awesome experience that we will never forget. It felt in some ways like the ultimate glamping bc we had all the amenities of an upscale hotel but with the privacy and serenity of being out in the wilderness. Can't recommend this place more and we will defintely be back!

I had the pleasure of staying here for the weekend for a friend's destination wedding. The lodge, like a lot of lodges, has it's own style and architecture. They hosted 22 people for the weekend, and many more for the actual wedding day very comfortably. The meals were well done buffet style, and the portions were immense. The service people (special mention to Christel, who was quite personable and attentive) left the island a couple of hours after dinner, but left an abundant amount of snacks out over night. The lodge itself was very comfortable with large windows that opened out to the lake and mountain. They have paddle boats, and water bikes, as well as a couple of canoes. There's ample fishing and the lodge has a few poles and tackle for people to use. The environment around the lake is just stunning! This is an excellent place to host whatever destination event you would want, although, I can imagine if you have a large wedding party, the logistics might begin to get difficult. I look forward to going back!

Also, it was noticed that we had been traveling (unbeknownst to us) on a blown and shredded tire on our trailer. Billy helped my husband assess the damage and offered to help change it with the spare the next day or direct him to the local tire shop. Sure enough, the next morning Billy and another RVer helped change the tire. It saved us from going to the tire shop. We really appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of this park. Billy went above and beyond to help us. We come over to this region at least twice a year, and we look forward to staying here again.

I had a one night stay at the resort last week. Here is my review…read more PROS: Resort was cute, clean, and reminded me of Summer Camp. Staff members Kayla and Tyler were very friendly and helpful. The Huckleberry cabin was cozy, clean and perfect for my solo trip. CONS: If you take the shuttle to do the Kayak trip, be forewarned that if the weather is shifting/windy, it will be a nightmare getting back to the resort. It started off nice and peaceful; two hours paddling through the Clearwater Canoe Channel. However, when the channel opens up to the lake, the resort is still one mile away, which may not sound far, but when the wind is picking up, and there are waves on the lake so big that they have whitecaps, it is not an enjoyable experience whatsoever. The wind and the waves were coming against me at the end of the channel, and it was a complete struggle to even try to get out to the lake. Once I managed to get out, I was getting pushed back by the wind, and was sure my kayak was going to flip from the whitecap waves; I am not exaggerating! There were other paddle boarders pulled off to the shore because of the same reason. It took me an hour to go one mile, and I paddled as hard as I could the entire time; if I stopped, I would immediately start getting blown backwards. I had pulled off to shore, and called the resort about halfway there, explaining to them how difficult the conditions were, and that a storm was moving in, and I really would like to have a boat or jet ski come tow me back. No one was able to help. Just be forewarned if you have people who are not strong paddlers (kids, older people) this trip will be hell if the weather doesn't cooperate, and in MT, the weather changes every 20min. The description makes it sound like you come out of the Channel, and the resort is just around the corner; this is NOT the case. A staff member even told me that a couple who had rented a boat came back due to the waves and wind....enough said. Also, as predicted, a big storm did arrive around 5pm. All the power was knocked out, and by the time I left at 8:30am, still no power. Luckily I had a cooler with ice, or my food would have gone bad in the fridge. Was not able to make coffee, that was a major bummer. Had to walk around with a headlamp at night. Between the kayak experience, and the power being out pretty much my entire stay, I was hoping I would get some kind of refund, or at least have my kayak trip comped; not the case. Again, Staff was lovely, I just feel there could be better explanations on their website, and that people should get some kind of discount if they go without power for a day or longer; at $200-ish a night, this is a lot of money to basically be "glamping." I would not make the three and half hour drive back to this place, unfortunately.

We had to find a place that was safe for our food because we were cooking dinner for 50 people. This was a major health concern. Traps throughout the cabin along with mice poop on all the dishes. I know it is by the Lake and in Montana but this was not healthy. After we found a safe place to stay the owner still charged us for the whole weekend!!! Disgusting !!!

The resort has a few kayaks and canoes free for the use of the guests. There is also a dock available if you choose to bring a boat or other water craft. A fire put with provided fire wood is located near the sandy beach. The resort also provides coffee beans and grinder in every cabin so the guests can enjoy a fresh cup of coffee in the morning. I definitely recommend the resort for a relaxing get away.
