I had the pleasure of staying here for the weekend for a friend's destination wedding. The lodge, like a lot of lodges, has it's own style and architecture. They hosted 22 people for the weekend, and many more for the actual wedding day very comfortably. The meals were well done buffet style, and the portions were immense. The service people (special mention to Christel, who was quite personable and attentive) left the island a couple of hours after dinner, but left an abundant amount of snacks out over night. The lodge itself was very comfortable with large windows that opened out to the lake and mountain. They have paddle boats, and water bikes, as well as a couple of canoes. There's ample fishing and the lodge has a few poles and tackle for people to use. The environment around the lake is just stunning! This is an excellent place to host whatever destination event you would want, although, I can imagine if you have a large wedding party, the logistics might begin to get difficult. The light switches are a hoot, the bed frame is pure Montana. There a limited edition prints on the wall in nice frames. There is good TV and free wifi. Shower is hot, towels are plentiful and the over all setting is nice. Not much to look at from the outside, but once you get inside, it is very pleasant. As one wall plaque in my room says, "May the peace o9f the wilderness be with you." The rate was reasonable.....$82 including tax. Funky clean and confortable.

They tried to sleep in their sleeping bag but although they were the only guests, noises outside the room interfered with their sleep. At 2 am they gave up and drove 1 hour to Missoula and walked away from a 3 night prepaid room.

They have six tubs that are somewhat communal. If it's not crowded you can get them by yourself, but if there's other folks around, you will need to share. The water is delightful, but very warm. You can turn off the flow if it's just too hot for you. It's $18 for two hours soak you can stay longer if they're not crowded but honestly two hours is plenty here. Nice place with friendly folks cute cats running around the property. Looks like they're building some additional tubs. Also looks like they're pretty liberal with their beverage policy so bring your cooler with some beers and other libations. Overall a super chill place love it.
