They really messed up my husbands hair (not saying names or anything because I don't want to be rude). The person cutting my husbands hair seemed honestly crazy. He asked for a low skin fade and ended up with all the hair cut off the top of his head. Along with the janky hair cut, they shaved the back of his neck and left him with a raw red patch on his neck. So I went in for a cut and left with a messed up hairline and lots of self consciousness. I looked at the pictures and figured they would be adequate at cutting Black people's hair. I mean they said "all types of hair". I went in and asked for a temple fade. The barber was unsure what I was talking about (this should have been my clue to run). I figured I would just explain it to her and she would understand. She said she knew exactly what I meant and proceeded to cut. Wen she was done my fade was not properly faded and my line up was JACKED!!! Totally pushed back.... Maybe I just got unlucky and went to an inexperienced barber. I'm not telling you not to go here. This is just my single experience. If you do decide to take the plunge, be sure to explicitly ask if they are well versed at cutting Black hair. read more

Got my free cold beer! A Bud Light around noon after I got the haircut and hot towel neck massage is a rare first for me. But couldn't be more happy. And all for just $16. They're not aware of the Yelp promo and it was not necessary anymore as it's already a good deal. So I tipped almost 50% out of genuine gratitude. Leslie, my hairdresser, was friendly and very professional. She did fix my messy long hair and dealt well with the huge amount of hair I have, so I now look clean and presentable. No selfie. Y'all are normally awesome, but on this day a certain barber and thankfully I won't say his name. I asked for a side Cutt. When he started cutting the growth on top that I was working so hard for. Thought I would give this place a try since the reviews seemed alright. Walked in, sat down to find out that none of the "barbers" (there were three working at the time) knew how to do a flat top. Makes me wonder what kind of barber school they went to, if any. I've been told that everyone that goes to barber school learns how to cut a flat top. Decent barber shop. I had a pleasant experience here. Got a medium regulation fade and it came out alright.

Been going here for a couple of years and the service keeps getting worse. Saturday morning and only two people working, problem is everyday there is the same. Couple of reliable workers are always there but they can't the others to show up. Owner needs to hire reliable employees and fire the ones that do not show up on time. This morning 7 people waiting on haircuts and one person had appointments the other was trying to call to get others to show up for work. Too many other places to get a haircut!!! read more

I got a decent haircut from this place. It's a hole in the wall, average barber shop. The best part of it, though, is that you get a free beer with each haircut and a hot neck shave. Just discovered this place and an a huge fan! Dropped in for a quick haircut and Judy was awesome! They even do a hot lather and razor neck shave which I've not doing since moving here. This will be my go to barber for a long time, super friendly folks and just a fun place to visit. read more

Good barbers at this location. Price is above the normal, and they charge for finishing up a close cut with razor. Be careful when asking for a razor finish, my head was pretty cut up a couple times already. read more

My favorite barber shop in jax, even though I love out at the beaches, I still drive here to get my haircut. Whether it's Rocky or J you'll get a solid cut. And if your eye brows are out of whack have rocky clean them up. First time as a guy I ever had a barber offer that and now it's something I consider a must. read more

If you're looking for a haircut with any type of fading DO NOT come here. I asked my barber for a low fade with a picture as a guideline and she did not go with the picture at all. She went way too high and basically made it a high fade but without the fade. It was like a number 1 up to the ears and a 2 up to the top of the head. read more
