Decided to try a haircut from a place closer to me and I'm glad I chose Chop. I came in yesterday afternoon when some of my work meetings were cancelled. You can schedule online, through an app, by calling, or by showing up. The aesthetic is really cool and you get a free drink when you visit. They have different prices for haircut based on how short you want it and your hair length. This seems a bit arbitrary and weird. My barber/stylist Bree was dope. Good conversation and had me done in about 30 minutes. I didn't get much cut, but I rolled out feeling fresh. read more

I've been a loyal customer to CHOP barbershop for many years now because of the amazing job each barber does. Everyone there is a family and so kind. The place is clean and they even offer drinks as you wait or while you get a hair cut. Personally Shae is amazing but so is Joe. You'll love the vibe! read more

At first glance Bree may come off shy, but she turned out to be very open, and my hair/beard turned out great! I loved the way she faded the sides and she did a solid job on the top. holy shit terrible cut Honestly, this was one of the most disappointing experiences I've had. From start to finish, nothing seemed organized or professional. The staff acted like they didn't care, and it felt like I was bothering them just by being there. The product itself wasn't anywhere near what was advertised -- poor quality, cheap materials, and it stopped working almost immediately. I tried reaching out for help, but customer service was unresponsive. Complete waste of time and money. I definitely wouldn't recommend this to anyone. read more

I asked for a haircut and they gave me the exact opposite of the model I had requested, they left me with uneven parts in my hair.

We recently moved to Jacksonville and I got my first haircut in Florida at Chop Barbershop located on Riverside Avenue. My haircut professional was a very nice young woman named Savannah that gave me the best haircut I've had in years! The place was clean, organized and I was able to get in right away without an appointment. They charge about $25 for simple men's haircut and they even give you a hot towel shave on the neckline. I highly recommend this establishment, I'll be going there from now on. read more

Needed a fade and beard trim in the middle of the day. I decided to try a new barber shop and ending up finding Marquis at Chop. Marquis was very welcoming and friendly as were the other two stylists in the shop. He gave a clean fade and trimmed and edged my beard very well. I appreciate that he asks questions during the cut and doesn't assume what you want. I'd definitely see Marquis again for a cut. read more

This, to me, is the coolest barbershop I've ever been in. Love the vibe of the place. Feels like your dad created a secret workshop space and you discovered it. I've gotten my hair cut twice here and both times it was outstanding. I walked out with a cooler look than I've had in years. And the hair product? Incredible. I use the Liontamer Hair and Beard Groom stuff every day. It's awesome. And don't get me started on the Dare Devil Matte Clay. That stuff has changed the way I do my hair for the better. The key to both products, as was shown to me by the helpful staff at the salon, is to rub both into your hands, using body warmth to activate them to the most effective. Jordan was my hair stylist at Chop on Riverside, and I would definitely recommend this location and other locations if all the barbers there do as good a job as her. I booked my appointment last minute and arrived late, but I haven't ever been happier with a haircut! I didn't expect to get phenomonal haircut at 6:30, at the end of a barbers shift, but I am happy with the service provided at this establishment. Our conversation was organic and authentic and I was in and out quick after an 12 hour day at work.
