If I can give a - I would. My car broke down on the side of the road, so I called AAA -- a service I've been a loyal member of for over 10 years. I've never had a problem with any of their tow truck drivers, until this morning. "Rude Ted" from DD's Towing showed up with a terrible attitude and zero customer service. He didn't introduce himself, didn't ask what happened -- just pulled up recklessly and said, "Where are the keys?" He grunted and mumbled the entire time like he didn't know how to speak. As a woman alone on the side of the road, this was not only unprofessional -- it was unsettling. Thank God my friend showed up to wait with me. There was no way I was getting in that truck with this man. I would've rather walked five miles to a safe place than be alone with someone who made me feel that uncomfortable. When we got to my house, "Rude Ted" was ready to just drop my car on the street until my friend asked him to put it in the driveway. His rude reply? "Maybe." Then he backed it in recklessly and left it crooked in my driveway before taking off without a word. I've never experienced a driver like this. "Rude Ted" clearly doesn't belong in this line of work. If this is the type of service DD's Towing sends out, AAA needs to rethink who they partner with. No one should feel unsafe or disrespected when they're already in a vulnerable situation. read more

We ran into an issue when moving out of state, a tire exploded on our U-Haul and we were left stranded. Double D Towing arrived within the time they stated (60 mins), the man was friendly and got to work right away. He managed to replace the tire fairly quickly, id say roughly 20 mins. These people tried to make me pay to retrieve a vehicle I have not owned in 4 years. I understand they are just trying to make their money but it's shameful. A vehicle I sold was never registered into the buyer's name, so mine was the last on file. They sent me paperwork telling me if I did not pick it up I was liable to pay thousands of dollars to cover their costs. I called the DMV and they told me since I notified them I sold the vehicle, I have no liability to pay for anything this towing company tried to scare me into paying. I was fully willing to pick said vehicle up for a reasonable price, but they were unwilling to negotiate. Upon request for picture proof that the vehicle was in decent condition, they said they would send pictures. However the pictures never came and the excuse was that they, "wouldn't go through." Come on, who doesn't know how to send pictures through text message. Do better Double D Towing. I respect the grind, but not the lies. read more

Five stars for this service. They were dispatched through AAA Premier. We broke down on I-5. On the shoulder, mere feet from oncoming semi's and passerb6. Our insurance basically told us that we'd have to call an Uber, on the side of a freeway. Called AAA instead. Their dispatch Josh found us a service willing to pick us up and tow us home. The driver, Ted, did not have to take us into the cab, because Covid, but he opted to do so. Without Ted my lady, small dog and I would still be on I-5 in the dark. Thanks Ted. Once we dropped off the car, he even offered to help us bring our stuff to our front door. Today would have been much worse were it not for Ted, Josh, AAA and DD. Thanks. read more

I want to give an exceptional shout out to double D towing company in los Banos California. The dispatch lady Santa got on it right away and dispatched the tow truck driver Ted out to our sons home who was amazing who was absolutely amazing the car was very difficult to move for whatever reason the ignition had locked and it made it difficult all the way around but this driver did not give up. He took the time to figure out how to maneuver the vehicle to get it up on the truck and got it safely all the way 100 miles out of town without any issues. Even after Ted had lowered the vehicle he helped me and the shop get the car on skates and helps us push it. In addition to completely screwing me over with their BS storage fees and collection threats, they NEVER TOOK LIABILITY FOR THE VEHICLE EVEN AFTER I PAID THEIR FEES OVER A MONTH AGO!! THERE WAS A SIGNED TITLE IN THE CONSOLE THE WHOLE TIME and they could have kept the car and parted it out/lein sold it at any time for the cash. So some time goes by and I get a fastrak toll violation notice in the mail dated October 18 with the plate number of my old car that I have not driven since the end of March. Also, I moved to Florida in June and have not been home to California since. The toll camera photo shows the plate on a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT VEHICLE (my old one didn't run anymore and had a blown head gasket). How shady can you get?? Rip me off, don't take liability for the car, then give the plates to some random dirt bag out there riding dirty? Enough is enough. TERRIBLE SERVICE PLEASE READ The owner of the company, not sure of his name, intentionally left me stranded with my car dead at 1 in the morning in the middle of nowhere over a petty argument that he escalated. Not to mention the man smelled like a brewery. I was simply trying to tell him how to jump my car, in a respectful manner to boot, yet he was determined to argue that my way was incorrect, even though he was proven otherwise (and later admitted so). He then told me to turn my car off, THEN LEFT! I kid you not the man had me turn my car off then left my friend and I stranded. He left without providing the service he ha already been paid for. We then called him and started going off on him, threatening to leave terrible reviews. He said, verbatim, "you'll leave me bad reviews whether I come back or not." He only came back after I told him I was trying to get home for a funeral and gave him a fake apology. After coming back he gave a belligerent lecture about he was trying to teach me a lesson (as if he was in any place to do so, he realistically is a man with a temper who didn't appreciate the bruised ego), as well as the fact that he's been in this line of work for too long to have people trying to correct him (even though he was admittedly wrong!) Right before we finished he called me a dick and said, "do what you want, my friends have given me enough good reviews." Terrible person all around, his wife even sat in the passenger seat and watched. I'll be filing more formal complaints, there's no way I'm letting him get off with what he did. read more

Mother needed towing for her Mercedes on June 14,2017 and the driver dropped and bent her bumper causing the suspension to need repair. I understand that accidents happen and that no company can be completely without a mishap. The problem is that after this incident occurred the owner (Deril) told my mother that even if she did provide documentation stating that the accident caused the suspension to malfunction he still will only CONSIDER covering the expense not that he WILL cover it. We contacted this company through our insurance and they arrived 2 hours after the estimated arrival time. I was then snapped at for not standing outside of my car to flag him down even though we were parked off to the side with our hazards on . He then asked why I didn't seek help elsewhere before calling them. He then (without looking at my tire) told me he could do nothing to help and and I needed to purchase two new tired even though only one was deflated. He told my sister and I we looked low budget so we should drive 5 miles to Walmart to buy tire since that's all we looked like we could afford. He didn't even offer to tow our car or help and so we had to call someone else after for help. AM mobile tire service showed up within 10 min and fixed everything and more at an amazing price and with a great attitude. read more

After a call to AAA, within 45 min Double D Towing showed up, put our Toyota Sienna loaded with vacation baggage onto their flatbed truck and brought all of us to Morgan Hill. After having a terrible day on the road heading toward San Francisco, Dale came out of his way himself to help me get my motorcycle out of the highway after I called several other towing companies and having none of them come to my aid. It had been my second towing and it was by far the best towing I have ever had. It exceptionally fast, reliable, and easy as he gave me several options on where I could tow my motorcycle where I could get food, shelter, and help. His service deserves praise over other because in that area that is pretty empty as it is, his company is able to come to a customers disposal, and in a short amount of time. Yesterday my daughter and her friend were driving my car home from Santa Cruz to San Diego. I had lent them my car because it was safe and dependable. Apparently not we discovered, the engine light came on and it stopped running in a sparse area near the San Luis Resevoir. I was worried about them, were they safe, how would I get them home if the car's engine was shot and how would I find a shop that would honestly evaluate and fix it if there was a major problem? As I worked on getting a last minute flight and rental car lined up, Ted arrived to assist the girls. He was amazing from the moment he got there. He took the time to check the car out and diagnosed the issue. And it was later confirmed that he was spot on. He patiently and kindly answered all of my questions as a worried Mom too far away. He helped us figure out where to take the car by calling many shops to see who was available for same day work and if they already had the alternator we needed in stock. Once he found the shop, they were awesome too. They dropped everything to replace the alternator to get the girls back on the road. Ted was our angel, he did and said everything he could to help solve the problem, to make the girls feel comfortable, and best of all, his help saved me hundreds of dollars for flight and rental car costs. Thank you Ted from the bottom of my heart. You made what could have been a very rough day so much better. And I have the feeling you do that a lot for people you barely know. My family and I were on our way to San Francisco airport when one of our tire broke off. We were stuck on the side of 152 freeway with our car still sticking out a little into the road. Ted passed by and saw that we needed help. So he pulled over and helped assist while he was busy with another customer on his flat bed. Ted was able to help us move our car to a safer place on the side of the highway. We then ask him how much it would cost us to have our car towed to our house. He called his boss and his boss said it would be $500. But Ted couldn't tow our car due to him helping another customer already. Also his boss said that someone will be on sight in 30 min to help us tow our car back to our house. 30 min passed by no one showed up and it was getting dark. Finally, 2 hours later Joe showed up. He was rude, told us that the $500 was not right and wouldn't give us a rate until our car was on the flat bed. We told him that his boss have already gave us a rate of $500 but he didn't care and made us pay him $600 cash when that was our money we were going to use for our trip. I gave double d towing a one star because of Ted. If the company stayed true to their rate and Joe wasn't so rude and demanding this company would have had a five star rating. I don't recommend this towing company if you were stuck on the road side. Unless you were being helped by Ted. read more

Dale from Double D Towing saved my Thanksgiving holiday this year. I was on my way up from San Diego to the Seahawks versus 49ers game on Thanksgiving evening and broke down 90 miles from the stadium. Dale picked me up within 20 minutes and had me dropped off at a repair shop of my choice in San Jose. He was a great guy and I would recommend this company to anybody seeking a tow service in the Los Banos area. We were incredibly fortunate (after an extremely UNfortunate car problem!) to have Ted from Double D Towing show up to our car pulled over on the side of the road! Ted is the most compassionate problem-solver! He went out of his way to assist us in trying to diagnose our problem. Once establishing that any solution with the car was impossible, knowing that my daughter and I were stranded out of town, he worked tirelessly to ensure that we were set up with some way to find a rental car to be sure we could get on our way.
