I went on a trail ride back in October. I called to make reservations and they were very helpful with booking this for us. Upon arrival there was a FLOOD of Australian shepards which was amazing. The previous group was running behind due to the weather so the owner (husband I assume) gave us a little tour and was very friendly. The process to board the horse and intro are a little chaotic - there was very little instructions given and also, if your horse wasn't behaving we were mildly scolded. Well, when you aren't told the name of the horse having someone yell "Get so and so out of the water" it's a little confusing. I've ridden horses a bit so I know the basic principals of navigating on a horse, but if I was a beginner I'd be rather frightened for the lack of instructions. This is a great farm and it's pretty inexpensive to ride, so hopefully some fine tuning on how to deal with customers would help read more

My family and I had a wonderful ride with Darlene and her team! 10 members of my family reunion (ages 14 to 56) declared this trail ride to be the highlight of our week. The owner is extremely rude, when I made a call to drop by to visit & make future reservations. (Website invites people to drop by). I guess this depends on the day & the mood of the owner. She said that she cant have people running around the place. Including myself, 2 other adults & a 4 yr old. I was highly offended for about an hour, right up until the time it took to find other things to do in the area for the duration of our stay. We found another horse riding service for our group of 11 in Aug. Sending away business is never good business practice. read more

There seems to be so many limited trail riding places around WNY... while this place isn't exactly near by, the drive isn't at all bad to get there! A couple of work friends and myself made the drive from Williamsville and it was about an hour and a half drive. Very easy to find and it was a pleasant drive. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. For larger groups, it is recommended that you call ahead for a reservation. If it is just you and a friend, they seem to be able to accommodate you upon arrival. A couple things to note, just let them know if you have a tall or larger rider so they can have a bigger horse ready to go. Any rider under the age of 17 must wear a helmet ( which they provide ), and make sure to dress for the weather!! They have trail rides that go all year round and it does get cold! When we went, a couple of us forgot gloves, but they had some extras for us :) There is also a standard release form that you have to fill out before riding, but it is very simple and straightforward. The barn and property is very nice and taken care of. The horses looked great, healthy, and happy as well. The ride was about an hour long and it took us through the woods, along a creek, through some water and up through the hills. The horses took good care of my friends and I... and although cold, they had a really great time :) When we got back, the staff was more than happy to take some pictures for us - which was great! All in all, a great time. I will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone looking to go trail riding with friends. read more

The horses have good temperaments and know the trails well. The trails themselves are beautiful, well maintained, and scenic, with routes for both beginners and advanced riders. Have ridden at Double D.A.B for several years. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. For those considering the couple negative comments about the owner please keep in mind that with a farm full of people and animals she is loud and direct. I suppose this comes off as rude to some people when its not. Oh and btw to whomever posted that their webpage says "to just stop on by" maybe look at the top of every single page in the website where it says please call for reservations its been that way for nearly a decade. read more

My son, his girlfriend and I spent an afternoon at Double DAB. The family was wonderful. We showed up not knowing we needed an appointment to ride. So they let us walk around and pet the many animals they have. I even got to brush a few of the horses. The hour trail ride was beautiful. We will visit again! I highly recommend Double DAB for beginners and experienced riders, or even for a fun couple of hours petting their many animals. read more

I went here with family while on vacation at Peak n Peak, was expecting a nice, calm trail ride in the woods. Unfortunately this wasn't the case. My horse kept getting close to the horse in front of me and the trail leaders continuously told me to pull him back and i did but he just kept going back up, the trail leaders should know when there's an issue between 2 horses and should've found a better solution. This situation resulted in my horse getting kicked by the horse in front of me which resulted in me getting tossed off as well as 3 others, including 2 of the trail leaders. I have suffered a crush injury to my left hand, thankfully everyone else was okay! The owner did not acknowledge my injury nor did she ever come up and apologize and take responsibility. She also continued to ask my family if we wanted to see the other animals. I highly don't recommend this place due to the poor customer respect. read more

This is a great place for the whole family to ride! They put us all on the perfect mounts. My 8-year-old niece was pretty excited and the horse they had originally pulled out for her was a little antsy. Darlene said, "I'm not putting that excited little girl on that excited little horse" and sent someone to get another horse for her. As a horse owner myself, that let me know that they really know horses, make sure the horse and rider are well matched, and take safety seriously! They have some draft horses and that allows heavier people to ride which is something some stables don't do. Their prices are very reasonable. The staff was great and our whole family had a wonderful ride. After we were done they showed us all over the farm and the children got to pet all the animals. read more

Husband of the owner was nice... Young trail guides very nice... Wife (owner) was nice to us as customers but was EXTREMELY RUDE to trail guides. She belittled then and swore at them...I could go on. I felt very bad for the young women trail guides. No one deserves to be treated that way. I will never go back there. It was an extremely uncomfortable situation and not fun at all. It was supposed to be an enjoyable mother- daughter outing and it was A VERY UNPLEASANT experience. Paid a lot of $$$ to hearing constant swearing and verbal abuse to her staff and husband. Last year I went here and had a great time. Just today I went on a ride and had a horrible experience. The owner of the facility was extremely rude, not only to me personally, but to her staff. She made me feel very uncomfortable and many others on the trail ride, and I will not be back again. I would have left a raving review last year, but this experience I had today had me completely turned away. read more
