We ordered from here on a whim yesterday, because I've been on the hunt for better chicken and broccoli. 8 months pregnant and I'm not playing around. If I want chicken and broccoli, I'm gonna find it, and eat it mostly myself. We got for starters the wonton in spicy peanut sauce; chicken and broccoli for me, and hubby got a beef chow fun - oh, and I needed an egg roll, so we got that too. Grubhub said it would be about 40 minutes to deliver, so I was fine with that, but we got our order literally 15 minutes later! Talk about service! The egg roll was completely old school - you know what I mean - BIG and loaded with pieces of roasted beef and NOT greasy! I could've eaten two myself it was that good! The wonton with spicy peanut sauce was really good! Very savory and tasted similar to cold sesame noodles; pretty much the same sauce, with a little kick at the end. An unexpectedly tasty starter! The chicken and broccoli was the BEST I've had in a long time. No weird aftertaste; no hard broccoli that can be replanted in the ground. This was truly delicious and will be my go-to dish when we order again in the very near future. The beef chow fun was beef chow YUM! I always forget to take pictures for this place! but I figured it's time to write a review anyways. This has been my go-to take out spot for years now. There are many Chinese takeout restaurants in this neighborhood but for some reason I just much prefers this one. We always get fried chicken wings with pork fried rice, chicken and broccoli with white rice, and fries. Not many places are open in the neighborhood currently (as of 5/6/20) due to the coronavirus but Double Delight came in clutch! Had been calling local Chinese spots for ~30 minutes and finally came across them. Their hours have changed recently due to the coronavirus pandemic (Closing at 9pm) and I called at ~8:55 and they stayed open for me to pick up. The person who picks up the phone needs to learn some customer service skills. They are rude, defensive, aggressive and non apologetic. my family has been ordering from double delight for almost 10 years but now that will STOP! We ordered food recently and none of the containers were closed which caused the wonton soup to spill everywhere! On arrival the bag was soaking wet and when we called to ask for a refund they sent someone over to TAKE THE FOOD BACK AND NO REFUND! They said they would send someone with cash but the man who came to take the food back was very rude even when showing him the photos of the food. This place does not know how to run a business. I've always order here for years and it was great until they changed the owner. I've ordered 4 times after owner changed giving them a chance to fix their mistakes. They always give me small rice when I asked for large. And after a minimum you're suppose to get a free soda but they never put it in and expects me to ask for it. And they act dumb about it. The young boy is rude and can't do math. But as soon as I opened it and start eating it, I found a piece of metal inside the noodles. It was a piece of staple. Oh my god...that is horrendous!
