This place might be a nice bar, but does NOT serve food in the evening and has no plans to do so.

Not much on ambience, but one heck of a yummy mushroom swiss burger and fries! My kids love their horseshoes and corn nuggets.

We ordered burgers, wings, and tater tots, and everything was excellent. We had low expectations for bar food, but this surpassed anything I've had at any other bar. The double burger was huge, with thick patties, and everything was cooked to perfection. He said the staff was great too. We'll definitely be back soon!

He had grown up in the area and stated he remembered it having pretty good food. We arrived just before noon and sat at the bar. It was dark inside, with high top tables and chairs along the far wall and glass stained hanging lights providing light. The service was quick and friendly. I really enjoyed my double cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions. My side of Cole slaw was good too. Sadly it wasn't time to order a cold draft , ha! They did, however, have several inviting beers available on tap including Amberbock, Sam Adams Cold Snap, and Yuengling to name a few. There's an adjoining room with a pool table. This is not a trendy place nor a flashy place. This is a classic old style bar with good food and good service.

If you're looking for a Michelin star restaurant, this isn't it, but everything is good. They're dinner side salads could be improved with better lettuce. This is the only thing that hasn't changed from the old facility/menu IMO. Try the Ruben nuggets appetizer (may not be called that) is AWESOME if you like ruebens. They're Rueben makings inside egg roll wrappers. Think Reuben egg rolls! Yes, we recommend this restaurant.

I would have preferred to see a menu. So I ordered a salad and jalapeño burger. After my salad I had to ask the waitress for my burger as the guy tending bar was counting his tips & other busy work and not coming over by me. When I asked the waitress for my burger is when he developed an attitude. Sandwich was a little dry, otherwise very good and by the time he came back by it was half gone.. he bought me extra sauce, I said thank you and he said yep. Not can I get you anything else.. just hoping for a good experience & it didn't happen.. I'll continue going to the "General Store" where I get great service from a friendly staff.

Like most people, we've…read moreseen her videos online and when we were 45 minutes away, we decided we needed to check the place out! She indeed does have the best pancakes and also makes incredible other dishes! This gem is located about 45 minutes south of the quad cities, down a sunny paved road, deep in corn country! It's in a neighborhood and aside from the pancakes on the roof, it's pretty nothing flashy. It's a true down home type diner with seating for 60 ish inside and plenty of outdoor seating. The food here is both American and a couple Chinese dishes - yes, we had dumplings with our breakfast! Totally worth it! We also had chicken fried steak, steak and eggs, and omelette, biscuits and gravy, and her famous pancakes! The pancakes were pretty Epic! Fluffy, sweet, not overly heavy and made just perfect with double butter - because let's face it, you're not here for your health. They had us in and out in like 45 minutes - the place is a machine! We had a chance to talk with Judy, and she was as nice as we had hoped! We got to chat with her for a while about her favorite foods to make, and got a fangirl/boy picture with her outside the restaurant. They've got great food, small town charm and big time fun vibes here. Do like Judy say and "Come for Breakfast!"

While on a road trip throughout multiple states, I found myself not far so made it a point to stop in. I sat at the counter and received excellent service. I had the berry medley pancakes and the sausage patties. Everything was delicious! Coincidentally, while I was in Galesville Judy was in DC (not far from where I live). Her being there would have made the experience more exciting but I knew it was not a guarantee.
