    Shower in the bathroom

This Doubletree was nice. Not terrible and seems newly remodeled. I checked via the Hilton app so getting into my room was a breeze. The room was fairly clean and I loved the super soft pillows. The bathroom had nice tiles. Reminiscent of a resort shower. My only negative experience was the run was warm although the AC ran the entire time.

    Hallway by the elevator.

Here for a baseball tournament. Hotel is EXTREMELY low quality for a Double tree. Staff has no idea what they are doing. Clearly poor management. Workout room was 90 degrees at least. Front desk could've cared less. Asked how to turn on AC in there and she just shrugged and said she didn't know. Made no effort to call maintenance even after I made that recommendation. Trash in the hallways left daily. Water Leaks in the lobby ceiling. Asked for different pillows due to being allergy to down pillows. Those never showed up.... Staff technically are not jerks but just had no idea what they were doing nor were they willing to make an effort. Most of the ice machines are broken. Broken elevator. Do not recommend.

This hotel must have a new managing director since my visit a couple months ago. The hall and my room flooring was unacceptable as a Hilton member and any other visitor to this hotel. One could think and not assume proper training of employees are not regularly checked by anyone. Do they still have vacuums after a week. This is unacceptable service when it was not free stay at Hilton. Trashy location. I felt like a was at a location with no standards. Go figure, it was a dog-free Hilton which is rare. People have allergies Hilton which includes dust, dogs & cats

King size bedroom only three pillows though ‍

Clean and great atmosphere. Didn't get to experience or explore the amenities however the room was very clean and bathroom. It is near the Sumit which is a shopping mall with restaurants. There is a brunch place called "The flying Biscuit" which is near by which obviously calls for BRUNCH

Honestly, the stay wasn't anything spectacular! Very mediocre. It is conveniently located but seriously could not get over the black floors in the bathroom. Just yuck

As an essential traveler/worker, I appreciate a good hotel breakfast during these times. Served straight from the kitchen.

The few times that I've stayed here recently has certainly been a very hospitable and CLEAN experience. The ladies at the front desk are very personable and really make you feel like you're home. Location is within proximity of several restaurants and less than 1/2 mile from The Summit. The pool has been closed during my stays, but the fitness center is open. There's also an Amazon locker located inside for you Amazon junkies like myself :). Oh! And the cookies are still served fresh and warm.

Dunno what this is for, obviously didn't work because the tv reception was garbage.

4 star hotel but deserves 1 star. I can only speak on my experiences, but it was a nightmare during my stay for my business trip. My room smelled of chlorine. There were no other king bedrooms available to be transferred to. There was not a do not disturb sign on my room so before I can go down to get one. An "engineer" walked right in. The cable tv connection was so poor it made watching television unwatchable, make sure to bring your own resources if you want to watch anything at the end of your night. I was only given one towel for my entire stay. The housekeepers are extremely loud outside of the room in the morning. There's no reason any one staying should fear housekeeping barging in on them but I did. It makes for an unpleasant stay. I was charged for my breakfast and then the host came back again asking to ring me up after charging me and taking my card 5 minutes before. I literally just handed her my card and paid, and she came back around asking me to pay again because she forgot she already rang me up...wtf. I didn't think it would get worse but it did. I picked the doubletree thinking it would be a nice stay but I've stayed at better 3 star hotels. I won't be revisiting this place in the future.

Nice rooms, having restaurant in the building is convenient. Food was good. Several restaurants were nearby but didn't feel like going out.

When we got to our room we were amazed on how big the space was. We all had plenty of room so there was no overlapping of space between 3 people and there was plenty of nearby restaurants that we were able to walk to and Railroad Park to enjoy a day in the sun. The breakfast was good considering it was the holidays and the mini store was reasonably priced. My wife said that she would love to make this our regular hotel whenever we come in town. Great job!

I recently stayed at Home2 Suites by Hilton in downtown Birmingham on 18th Street, and…read moreunfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. The main reason we chose this location was because of the excellent experience we previously had at the Home2 Suites location in Hoover, Alabama. That property was superb, so we expected the same level of cleanliness and service. Unfortunately, the downtown Birmingham location fell far short of those expectations. Upon entering our room, it was clear that cleanliness was an issue. The bathroom sink had brown residue in it, the shower floor was dirty, and there was hair throughout the bathroom. I actually had to clean the bathroom myself before feeling comfortable using it. The couch in the room was also covered in visible stains, making it unusable for us during our stay. To make matters worse, the ironing board completely fell apart while we were trying to iron our clothes. As a result, we had to iron our clothing on the bed, which is far from ideal and does not provide the same results as using a properly functioning ironing board. This was another indication that the room furnishings and equipment were not being adequately maintained. I will say that the beds were comfortable, and the hotel's downtown location is very convenient. Being close to restaurants, entertainment, and other attractions was definitely a plus. Another major concern was the parking situation. Guests are required to pay for self-parking, yet there was rarely any available parking. To make matters worse, catering vehicles from Taziki's, a restaurant located across from the hotel, appeared to be occupying spaces in the hotel parking area. Those spaces should be reserved for paying hotel guests. While the location is excellent, that alone does not make up for poor cleanliness, poorly maintained furnishings, and a lack of attention to the overall guest experience. This stay was a stark contrast to the outstanding experience we had at the Hoover location. Because of that, we will not be returning to this particular property. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements so future guests can have a better experience.

The room overlooked a couple of buildings but it was a nice view to see some of the local businesses. We saw many apartments in the area from our window view. The room was nice and quiet and the hotel was as well (except for our children lol). There were double dark room shades in the room to ensure the daylight would not disturb our sleep. The tub was spacious and the room had a very nice long table to utilize. There was a mini fridge, microwave and keurig that were nice to have. The room was clean upon arrival and our check in was nice, quick and convenient thanks to the mobile app. The staff has been very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. My flight to Birmingham was cancelled upon arrival in Chicago at 9:30p and I could not get another flight to Birmingham for 24 hours, too late to attend my meeting. The issue: the reservation only provided a customer service number to "Customer Care" (an apparent south Asian company) who stated, after me waiting on hold for 45 minutes, that the 'guest hotel' did not "pick up their phone". So Customer Care was not able to tell the hotel I had to cancel due to a cancelled flight. No direct phone number to the hotel was given on my reservation confirmation paperwork. I was told by Customer Care I would receive confirmation of their contacting the hotel within 24 hours. TEN days later I still did not receive a confirmation that Customer Care contacted the hotel and was sent an email that same day that the hotel denied my request to cancel 10 days earlier and denied my request for a refund. So: -no obvious way to directly contact this hotel via reservation paperwork, only Customer Care -they did not pick up a call from their own contracted customer service provider -it took 10 days for their customer service provider to get back to me after multiple requests for an update -Hilton refused even a one day refund of the 2 days charged me for a cancellation that was completely out of my control due to an airline flight cancellation No reason to ever consider Hilton again

Nice remodel into a hotel and very creative as well. I peaked into the rooms being serviced while I was leaving and none looked the same as mine in the inside. My room had a cool mail chute built into the wall. There is also the old directory in the lobby that listed the branch managers and workers that were on each floor. The inside interior design is very well done. The lobby area is so pretty. I love the graduating wall paint. Incredibly cool. My room had some strange nooks and crannies in it that really made it even cooler. There were windows tucked into tiny corners. Tons of uniqueness. The room was clean, well stocked, coffee maker worked, hot waster came fast, and the bed was super comfy. So much in fact, I thought I was home when I woke up to use the restroom in the night. My only gripe is the it's a bit rough around it. Not much you can do about that. The homeless people that are around are sad to see, and there were quite a few. I wish more could be done to help them. It's tough to sleep in a $250/night room and know people are asleep on the ground outside. Not shaming these fine folks, but it is what it is. I'd return. For sure. '26 - 50

However... The bed is hard as a rock. The mirrors were NOT clean. The toilet ran all night and flushed when it felt like flushing. The walls need some TLC. The QR codes for the restaurant menu don't work. If you want to see the menu just come to yelp for it. (Chicken and waffles was bomb tho.) Don't buy anything to drink from the little sundries shop because the front desk doesn't have a bottle opener and going back to the restaurant bar downstairs to get one will have you waiting forEVER. The moonshine bar on the roof or whatever it's called (sighs in disappointment) don't even bother. I went up there and smiled and said hello and no one even acknowledged me. Mind you? There were three people back there behind the bar. RUDE. If I return to Birmingham, I will not stay here.

I would rate this Hilton property 0 stars if we could. We are loyal Hilton Diamond members and have stayed at multiple Hilton properties around the world. This was one of the worst properties we have ever stayed at. We stayed here in February and from the time we attempted to check in, it was disappointing. We were upgraded due to our Diamond status and upon checking into our room it was absolutely disgusting. The bedsheets appeared dingy and the bathroom was gross. There was hair on the ground and a vomit stain on the tile. So vile! We called downstairs right away and were moved to another room that was not much better. However, we were there for a family function and has other guests arriving that we has suggested the hotel to. We did notify the manager on duty and he told us he would escalate our concerns. The next day, the hotel manager, Tonya was on sight and sat down and spoke to us regarding the issues. She agreed that our experience was 100% unacceptable and promised to compensate our Hilton Honors points for our entire stay. She assured us that she would make this happen. Also, despite our complaints and meeting with her, our room was never even serviced by house keeping our entire stay. Now over 1 month later after no follow-up call or email, we contacted her and at first she acted as if she has no idea what we were talking about. Then she stated she escalated the issue to corporate but was unauthorized to issue more than 20,000 points, which covers absolutely nothing. And stated there was not really anything for her to do! She totally and outright lied to us, after she had assured us in person and in an email that our entire points would be compensated. She even had the audacity to even yell at us on the phone. This is not the type of experience I expect as a loyal Hilton Diamond Member. In conclusion avoid this disgusting and poor quality Hilton property at all costs.
