Crazy and awesome history to this former brothel!…read more The drinks were a nice finish to a long day and good conversation. The Smoking Gun... you gotta try it!

Server was great. Lots of people coming to and from the table instead of just letting him work with…read moreus though, made it feel a little busy. We had to keep telling people the same things over and over. Things like "someone already said they were getting that for us" not that we needed to keep asking for things! Important difference.) The manger, I think, kept saying he would get things then ended up over committing to tasks and someone else would end up doing it. This isn't a complaint just something I'd suggest having a discussion with with staff and change- lots of business do this because they want to be attentive but it comes off sloppy and messy and just ends up interrupting the meal more than anything. Everyone was doing this with the best intention though. Only love and advice here! The drinks were very good. Loved seeing all the holiday themed stuff everywhere VERY VERY cute!!!! we loved the heart napkins and the whole vibe was 10/10. I thought my food was bland, everyone else loved theirs, so I won't dock starts for that. Excited to visit this place again next time we are in town. Edit: docked it a star over the owner passive aggressive immediate reply. Comes off like "shut up I'm right you're wrong." I've been in the industry over 20 years and have seen many place fail, flail, and have great success. The successful ones never have a manager or owner that is passive aggressive over a pretty nice review. I hope you learn to take criticism and your business thrives though! (If you were so busy you wouldn't have, or at minimum KNOW you wouldn't have, time talk to every one. I never once saw you "delegate" a task to someone else. I saw you repeatedly say you'd do a task then someone on staff notice it wasn't done the do it for you. You told the boss you'd seat us then wandered off to do whatever behind the bar and she sat us- her job you didn't need to butt into btw. You did say you'd get cheese and did it yourself. You came by a bunch to make sure our table, and every table we could see, was happy but it seemed more for ego than anything because you kept repeating how but YOU are from the second we walked in until we left. You said you'd get my father in law another drink then it simply never came but whatever we just left without another high priced cocktail on our bill, your loss. Trust your staff, take accountability, much love.) Edit again: the owner refuses to stop lying and saying he's "defending himself" more to that over on the google reviews. Staff is great, food is below mid, owner is beyond help. Edit again: just noticed he EDITED HIS REPLY TO ME to try to change the story that he wasn't as rude as before! So I added a screen shot. Talk about "MESSY." Do NOT support this clearly narcissistic owner! Lying, manipulating, gaslighting, and all over what was originally a four star review!!! Wow!!! Edit again: was browsing other reviews and the owner is flat out lying on other reviews too!!

Wonder inspiring historic building that has been transformed into a uniquely intimate theater…read more I have watched a rock production two years in a row, and have LOVED our balcony seats. Every seat in the house looks to be great, next time I will buy floor seats to confirm. (well technically, it was a gas plant first, but then began to sing the body electric in 1905). :::: Fast-forward: 2011 :::: This is when this art decco powerhouse transformed to a stylish playhouse in the style of Shakespeare. This theater had been on my radar for the last couple of years, and my timing just never worked out for venturing down to the hills of wine and to make a visit to the theater....until Winter 2012. On a blustery cold evening, I needed to make a trip down to Walla Walla. I made myself go. I had to. NPR advertised about the Power House's production of "It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play!", for weeks, and I was intrigued and pulled Walla Walla-ward. I was interested by the production, but I was also looking for an excuse to case the joint! ;) I love old theaters (especially if they've been renovated Gangnam Style...sorry, just wanted to say that phrase...not sure who reads these reviews all the way anyway!) ;) The renovation, I believe, is still a work in progress. I heard they are still working on the roof...and the audience & actors noticed this throughout the evening as the winds howled and banged on what seemed like only a tin roof. (A member of the staff came upstairs to the balcony and offered seats downstairs to us if we were too cold. I didn't mind, but some took him up on his offer---I wanted the full environmental experience! I wanted the chance to tell stories about way back in the olden days when I went to the Powerhouse to see a play, and how the roof almost blew off!) Other than the roof, the facility is top notch. (well, I think the roof adds character along with the expose brick, too). From the lobby, stage, seating, to restrooms, the facility is updated with modernity. And that's what I like. The duality of a renovated structure is attractive. I can't wait to come back for a Shakespearean or modern play. You'll find me looking for excuses to come here again, and again---look for me in the balcony!

Here's the breakdown Ambiance- pub style with plenty of tvs and great art. Comfortable chairs and table heights, a little chilly for a few of us but temperature is always a preference. Bathrooms were clean and decorated nicely.they have a phone charging station which any other time we may have used lol but it was our first stop in town -10 Service- friendly, average wait on food and drinks. Food- Here's where we get some dings. Great menu choices all around, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, chicken, fish n chips and more. Portions were great! I anticipated my niece wouldn't eat it all so I ordered a side salad and the waitress suggested I order a half garden salad for a little more than lettuce and dressing, great suggestion! All portions were hearty! The onion ring starter was an 8- batter was perfect! Not too much, not too little and tasty, except for the hint of fish, which indicated to me they mix their fryer food. The onion inside was thick and flavorful, not pungent at all. Burger- Everyone loved the flavor of their burgers. The shroom boom has a jam on it that wasn't to my husbands liking and he'd take it off next time as he would love to order it again. The Dynaburget has a little hit, but flavorful. The fries that came with our burgers were a solid 10, crispy outside and soft inside. Everything was hot on service. What we all wished and hadn't caught when we ordered was that our burgers were all cooked to a well temp, and that did leave a bit of a downer for us as we like our burgers medium or medium rare. They didn't have that juicey goodness that we would give a 10, a little dry, and gave it a premade patty feel however it wasn't a premade patty taste so we felt like it was handmade patties. Overcooked and still flavorful, therefore we dropped our overall rating to a 7. Next time we will make sure to share our cook temp preference.
