Just before a recent hurricane, I noticed that there was some leaking around some windows that turned out to be related to wood rot. Additionally, I've been struggling with rot issues around a pool closet that wasn't all that well designed. I filed a request with Mr. Handyman and Chad (the owner) promptly responded. Once again, I found Chad and the whole team at Mr. Handyman to be fantastic. He listened carefully to the concern, evaluated the issues and came up with the most cost-effective solutions. He made sure he set expectations in advance of scheduling the work and carefully chose his people that had the right skill set to do the job perfectly. Speaking of the right skillset -- Steven, the lead technician on the job, was just phenomenal to work with. Have you ever met someone who just really knows their stuff and makes you feel at ease? That's Steven in a nutshell. He's worked in all aspects of construction and it shows in his confidence and the quality of his work. He kept me in the loop throughout the entire job and made sure I was completely satisfied. Additionally, I had relayed some struggles I was having caring for my elderly father, and he was a sympathetic ear - offering some advice and ultimately assuring me that he had my back on the house repairs so that I could focus on helping my Dad. There are just not enough people like Steven in the world. He is a rockstar. Additionally, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Dylan, who helped assist Steven, he too was extremely professional and worked hard to help keep to the timeframe quoted. Ultimately, the job was completed in a timely and professional manner. The quality of work was fantastic and I couldn't be more pleased. I would not hesitate to hire 'Mr. Handyman' again in the future and would recommend their services to anyone.

Customer service is terrible. They hung up on me in the middle of the conversation. Our experience with this gardener started off well, but everything went downhill once we tried to…read morehire him as our regular gardener. He did a good job the very first time he came out, which is why we reached back out and wanted to establish ongoing service. Unfortunately, after that, the communication became extremely poor. He was consistently bad at communicating messages went unanswered, plans weren't confirmed, and we never knew when or if he was actually coming. Then things escalated when he showed up unannounced one day and cut our grass without any communication at all. We had no idea he was coming, and it wasn't something we requested for that day. After doing the work unexpectedly, he then tried to charge us out of the blue as if this had been scheduled, even though he never told us he was coming. When we asked why there was no communication and why he was billing us for a service we didn't know was happening, he tried to blame us, saying we misunderstood or didn't follow up when in reality, he never sent a single message confirming anything. This was especially frustrating because the lack of communication was entirely on his end. On top of that, he canceled an appointment and later tried to up-charge us from the original quote, even though nothing about the job had changed. It felt unprofessional and unreliable, especially for someone we were trying to trust with ongoing work. Overall, if you want clear communication and reliability, I would look elsewhere
