Quick little shop - pick donuts and go in & pay. I selected the blueberry-filled lemon donut & Boston cream for my man. These were hefty donuts! But so light & fluffy, with very light icing and filling was divine! This is the first time I have had blueberry filling with ACTUAL blueberries! Sooooo good! This donut shop is located in covenant gardens area of London. Very touristy area. So imagine my surprise to have the woman helping us with such a terrible attitude. She must have been feeling ill as she had a flush face, mousy brown hair pulled back. She was not helpful and was making fun of us soon as we walked out. I heard her imitating my husband and I, or trying to as one of my napkins had fall an on the floor and I picked it up. Now the donuts are really cake like, not light though. My wife and I walked by after dinner during our honeymoon which occurred the same time as the Queen's Jubilee and they had an exclusive for the then we had called Lovely Jubbly. They also had a special kitten shaped donut with a kitten shaped candy on top for Pride called Scaredy Cat. We also had the Ice Ice Bae Bae and the Liam Hemsworthy and loved each one. If you want aesthetics but no flavour or an actual decent donut experience - then this is the place for you. Loved the names of the donuts, they were quiet funny like "Hans rolo" or "stranger rings." They look amazing in a trendy small shop, with no dining in seating just choose your donuts from outside or the store from the glass and go inside to order your selection. One donut is £4.50 I believe, and a box of 6 is £25. Honestly, I have had far better donuts, without the stodgy / stale taste these gave. I don't know how fresh these actually were, but they were not good at all. A waste of calories if you ask me. I purchased a few of the donuts, and got some to gift a family member, they come in a cute green packaging which would be fun to receive, just not sure about the item itself that's all. We were walking around London sight seeing when my donut senses went off and I looked up from across the street and saw Doughnut Time. Debating whether or not we should bother crossing the street just to be disappointed by a non existent vegan selection, the walk signal came on and I figured I'd just tease myself with the torture of being able to look at donuts but not eat them. You can imagine my surprise when I was blessed by the sight of multiple tray fulls of an array of vegan options! What kind of people would we be if we didn't try them all? We had 5 different flavors : -cookie dough brownie -cookie butter biscoff -red velvet w/cream cheese frosting -jelly filled -apple pie They were all HUGE and absolutely AMAZING - you usually get one or the other with food, but rarely both - so that instantly made this place my favorite donut shop in the entire world. Doughnut Time was a great little discovery on my last trip to London. Who doesn't need a great doughnut every now and again? Especially from a shop that makes everything fresh and has tons of unique options. The price point is a little bit high, but this isn't your average doughnut shop and prices in London are a little higher than prices in the US anyway. I went with the apple pie crumble doughnut, although I could have enjoyed any of their delicious choices. I knocked off one star because my doughnut was just a little bit doughy and undercooked in the middle. I'm assuming that this was a fluke and all of the positives made up for it. The filling was absolutely delicious, the apples were tart and crisp which gave great contrast to the rest of the doughnut. We walked by this place during a visit to London and there was what appeared to be a long line outside, so we were intrigued. We window shopped eyeing what appeared to be delicious and unique doughnuts. We were instantly sold and wanted one. Suddenly, the apparent "line" all walked away, so apparently they were just a group of people doing what we were doing. We still decided to go inside and inquire. They were helpful in sharing what their most popular items were. We opted to order the doughnut that was most appealing to us and while the presentation was "picture worthy" the taste and quality was super underwhelming. It was hard and appeared to be stale. Among the two of us, we didn't even finish it was threw it away after 3-4 bites. We spent over $5 to try something that I certainly wouldn't try again, but at least we tried it! read more

As much as we wanted to like them, we found the donuts to be absolutely over-the-top to the point of not being enjoyable. The donuts are really big and command a high price, but are so disgustingly sweet that I'd think each one has more than 100% of your daily value of sugar. Although donuts are obviously supposed to be decadent, these were far from it. We had a few bites of our Bueno Mars before binning it and did the same for the David Hassel-Biscoff once we got home, although in its defence it wasn't as bad as the Bueno Mars (or perhaps our tastebuds had been blown out and we were numb to it even though it was 7+ hours later). They have lost me as a customer. As I have been a previous customer, I received an email advertising their Valentines Day package for delivery on Valentines Day, I ordered way in advance (1st Feb) to ensure I got a delivery slot for the 14th. I paid £25 for the 6 doughnuts, plus £5 delivery. On Valentines Day, nothing arrived and I checked the tracking throughout the day and it just said that DPD had not yet received the package from Doughnut Time. The tracking finally updated at roughly 6pm that Doughnut Time had finally given the order to DPD and they would be delivered on the 15th. I was so angry and disappointed!. I emailed Doughnut Time expressing my anger/disappointment and that I wanted a full refund, I asked if they want me to refuse the DPD delivery so they can have their doughnuts back, but they failed to answer my email on time, as such, DPD delivered on the 15th but did not ring the doorbell or knock on the door, they left them on the porch in direct sunlight standing upright!. I finally received an email from Doughnut Time which was rude and unapologetic, it blamed DPD and pretty much stated that in their T's & C's you have to allow 2 days for delivery and 'enjoy your doughnuts'. This made me furious, I emailed again stating that the email said 'receive your doughnuts on Valentines Day, not on Valentines Day or there abouts'. I also pointed out that they use a next day service, so in order for DPD to deliver on the 14th, Doughnut Time would have had to pass the package to DPD on the 13th, which they failed to do, so the blame is not with DPD, I expressed again that I want a full refund. I received another curt email stating we have refunded your postage. I was a frequent user of Doughnut Time but there are plenty of other rival companies out there that are just as good, if not better, and certainly when it comes to customer service!. Doughnut Time have lost me as a customer, I was angry that the package arrived late but was even more angry at the customer service experience that I received. Bye Doughnut Time, remove me from your mailing list and maybe make it clear in you advertising to others that if you want to guarantee a delivery for a specific date, you need to put the delivery date the day before, so you either risk it being late, or you guarantee it on time but end up with stale doughnuts. And the doughnuts are MASSIVE! The flavor was great- it tasted just like a Reeses, but in doughnut form. And it had plenty of filling... Maybe actually too much peanut butter. They cost 5£ each I underestimated the size but it was so hard to finish it was extremely sugary which I wish it wasn't as much. I contacted their facebook team to get my money back, they replied explaining the reason I was overcharged and didn't offer any solution... hello, the solution is to refund the difference. It might've been the afternoon visit at fault, but the donut I had here (I forget the name but has a crap load of Nutella) was really underwhelming. Stopped at Doughnut Time for a quick dessert on our way home one night. So many delicious flavors with fun names to choose from. I got a doughnut dedicated to Stranger Things. The cake part of the doughnut was a bit dry, but the toppings were delicious. Doughnuts were also a little expensive, at just shy of 5 pounds per doughnut, but they were so delicious. Would definitely recommend this place just for the experience. On a side note, it would be nice if they had seating or a place nearby to sit and eat, as we had to take ours all the way back to the hotel before we could dive in. read more
