Been meaning to try to donut place out bc of the great reviews. They have really interesting and unique flavors you won't really find anywhere else. I'd say this is a gourmet donut place. The quality was good fluffy and fresh..but on the higher price point side. I'd return to try other flavors!
Doughnuts?! Heck yeah! Holy moly I could eat half a dozen if I could. Freaking yummy! Both vegan and non-vegan donuts. I recommend getting one of each and trying them all because they are all amazing! I mean, I don't know what else to say. They're doughnuts and they're delicious! Super cute little shop, the workers are very down to earth and chill. It was like chatting it up with friends. Coffee is also good and strong. Breakfast of champs.
I bought two donuts. I ate one straight away and the other I saved for dessert in the evening. Donut 1: Dark Chocolate. It was only ok. For being an expensive specialty donut, I was underwhelmed. Unmemorable. Donut 2: (And mind you, it's been in a baggy for hours) was the Lime & Coconut. It had a glaze and filling. It was remarkable! Sooo good! I'd have it again! Some random person recommended this donut over Donut Time. I think they're wrong.
I heard this place makes good donuts so I walked here from my hostel south of the River Thames. As your walk in the shop there is a menu of the day for the day. I got an PB&J donuts and a caramel donut. The PB&J donut had peanuts sprinkle on Peanutbutter and jelly in the middle. Reminds me of PB&J sandwiches I grew up on. Very delicious. The caramel donut had chocolate sprinkles on the caramel spread. Good but the PB&J was more delicious.
The only reason why I didn't give a perfect score is because the donut in which I tried had a little too much alcohol in it. But hey, that's just me. While on vacation--excuse me, "holiday"--from the States, I dropped into this slice of British heaven. The donuts were absolutely amazing. They contain the perfect amount of sweetness, unlike donuts that I'm used to in the USA. They were not heavy and greasy. They didn't sit in my stomach like a brick. The two women behind the counter were patient, friendly and helpful. They allowed me to take my time and decide what I wanted. They also answered all of my questions. This has definitely become one of my London food restaurant favorites.

Well, that time finally came this past summer. I was pretty stoked because this place wasn't that far from a few other places I was interested in checking out. There was a small selection of options. I decided to go with the coconut because I love coconut. The filling itself was good but the doughnut itself was dry and bland. Considering this place is a doughnut place, I figured the dough would be better, but that's not the case. I would take your tastebuds elsewhere like Gelupo and get some yummy gelato instead.
I'm a MASSIVE fan of doughnuts and when I stumbled upon this place it felt like all of my Christmasses came at once! Although I do love them, Crosstown is a nice change from Krispy Kremes or Dunkin' Donuts and have a wide range of their own varieties of unique flavours. I've tried most of them by now and a few of my favourites are Sea Salt Caramel Banana and Peanut Butter Berry, whilst I recently tried Matcha Tea which was surprisingly good. The store is typically quaint and everything is made fresh in their in-house bakery. It is an upscale unique take on doughnuts so it can be a bit pricey per doughnut but what better reason to order a box and save yourself some money in the process! I have a big weakness for doughnuts and can never order just one as I always end up ordering more. I once tried to take a box of them to work for my colleagues only for something to inconveniently happen to them on the way to the office.... Oh doughnuts why can't I quit you!
Oh, what a donut! My friend says that when someone is being particularly thick, but in this case (and spelling I presume) it has a most positive connotation! Crosstown doughnuts are: 1. Beautifully presented, both inside (just check the pinky beetroot sourdough of the Lemon & Thyme) and outside with the fresh garnishes and shiny glazing 2. Delightfully aromatic - banana cream, but also again lemon and thyme (actual whole leaves of thyme) 3. Wonderfully delicious - the sourdough base is great, regardless whether its classic, beetroot or cocoa variant. Fillings - ehh, just try!
I love donuts and they make an amazing array of vegan ones. They have yeasted vegan donuts. I have had their chocolate ring and winter fruit flavor. The donut is light and fluffy, and the flavors are really strong. The chocolate ring and pieces of chocolate in the donut! It make it really decadent and rich. The winter fruit donut was filled with an apple and cinnamon filling. It had a strong fruity flavor and had a crumble on top. I love crosstown donuts and wish they sold a wider range of vegan donuts like matcha.
Stopped by the Crosstown in the mall by the tube station. Wow this place has some COOL stuff. I ordered the classic flavors but they have so many seasonal ones that I would want to try. Usually, I like vanilla flavors the best but the chocolate REALLY shined here. There was some fudge on the inside that tasted nice. I would definitely order again, these donuts were some of the best that I tried in the UK. read more

Excellent vegan donuts here! We got Jasmine rhubarb, Cinnamon scroll, and Strawberry cheesecake. All were excellent and I would love to try more. read more

Yum! Great assortment of original flavors, including vegan flavors. I ate the banana chocolate caramel doughnut, my kids ordered the cinnamon bun flavor and the iced doughnut. All were delicious, even better than the ones from home(NYC). read more

What makes a Crosstown donut unique is the dough itself. It is created with a sourdough base and so does not absorb as much fat when deep fried. Hence, it is not nearly as sweet (or delicious) as your typical donut. The fat kid in me disapproves. read more

Simply excellent and incredibly delicious mandarin orange, yuzu passion fruit, and raspberry filled donuts. Individual donuts are packed in thick, heavy waxed bags which prevent you from losing half of the glaze to a sticky paper bag. Definitely not cheap but really worth the price. read more

I feel like taking down my Dunkin Donuts review since I came here today. Oh my Donut heaven. They taste so good. Healthy good. Authentic. Quite possibly the best doughnuts in Soho. This store is new in the area and it's not that popular yet. That is probably why the ambiance was quiet and cozy -- unusual for a store in Soho. What's good: They create uncommon and incredible combinations. Like, imagine a doughnut of chocolate, topped with marshmallows and freeze-dried raspberries, filled with heaps of jam. Wow, even I wouldn't have come up with that. What's best: How they managed to bake them. They taste fresh, soft and don't have a massive pack of calories. What to try: Summer Fruit Crumble Doughnut Seven Berry Glaze Doughnut Seven Berry Glaze Doughnut Sea Salt Caramel & Banana Cream Doughnut and basically, anything with a cool name. I tried a chocolate truffle ring doughnut, topped with a generous smothering of dark chocolate and bittersweet cocoa powder. I will save you the details. Do your taste buds a favour and go try them. read more

Way expensive at £3+ for a doughnut. They were tasty and not too sweet which is always a risk with doughnuts. By no means mind blowing but sure was tasty. I never realised how man cake and patisserie shops there were in soho so wouldn't run back there. read more
Vegan doughnut options on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only! Crosstown has a few locations in London, and they have recently begun to offer vegan doughnuts in addition to their regular selection of artisan flavors. They also offer a concise coffee menu, and stock soy and almond milk as non-dairy options. This location in the heart of Soho is tiny, fitting only about 8 customers inside at a time. There are a few stools to sit at, but do not count on dining inside. The staff were cheerful and polite, despite the hectic nature of their environment. On the Sunday that I visited, there were two vegan flavors-Glazed Ring with Vanilla Bean, and Tropical Compote with Pineapple Glaze and Coconut Chips. At £3.80 per donut, these were easily the most expensive donuts I have ever purchased. However, upon first bite, the quality of ingredients and thoughtfulness of their recipe was apparent and worth the high price tag. The doughnut itself was light and moist without being oily, with a slightly more hearty consistency than I am used to with American donuts. The vanilla icing was definitely made with fresh vanilla beans, which was a game changer. Both donuts were exquisitely crafted, and tasted more like fine pastries in the shape of a donut. Additionally, the coffee was excellent-rich, strong, and perfectly made. I highly recommend Crosstown Doughnuts, and hope they consider offering vegan options on all days of the week. read more

This is a fun and trendy shop, perfect for a quick snack before you continue on your journey exploring London. I went for the mini doughnut instead of the regular size, and I'm glad. I enjoyed the unique flavor, but I personally didn't need a whole one. Plus, there are so many sweet treats around, if you go for a smaller size you won't feel as guilty getting another treat later on! read more

Happened to be walking by and thought when is it not ok to treat yo' self to a donut? Never. Never is the answer. Especially if it's vegan donut like a Crosstown. It's basically an apple at that point. We got the Banana creme donut which is a chocolate donut with banana creme inside then is covered in caramel glaze and chocolate donut crumbs. The creme tastes exactly like puréed banana and the donut was good although a little dry, chewy, and dense. It was a cool stop and it will be cool to tell your friends you ate a vegan donut. You'll also feel healthy af cause it's vegan so that automatically means healthy right? Just lie to me and nod your head. read more

Wonderful donut selection.. great cappuccino & lovely people! This place is pretty small with about 6 stools for inside seating but there is so much going on in this area that you'd most likely take your coffee & donut to go. Love it & can't wait to go back! Cheers read more

Pretty much booked here after class because I was craving donuts! I got their famous matcha and banana cream donuts with a small coffee. I'm usually not a big fan of banana flavored food, but I loved this banana cream because the flavor is not too overwhelming and artificial. Coffee was good and they have a small area where you can eat in store, so that was nice. I would definitely come back again if I get the time! read more
I remember when Crosstown Doughnuts was just a cool truck, roaming around London. I finally managed to track them down once at Bishopgate Market where I immediately fell in love with their treats. So glad to see these guys have a brick & mortar now, they really deserve it for being the best doughnuts in London! Got two of the Raspberry Jam for my friend and I plus one Belgian chocolate truffle doughnut for myself. Tried to limit myself to just two flavours otherwise I would have ordered one of each, they all look so yummy! The Belgian chocolate was absolutely exquisite. Love the dark chocolate ganache on top with a light dusting of cocoa powder on one side. The doughnut is also overfilled with a sweet chocolate cream, very smooth and more creamy than rich. Each bite has a nice balance of sweet, bitter, and soft fluffy dough. Definitely a very rich chocolate flavour but if you're a fan of dark chocolate you will love this! I'm usually not much of a jelly donut person, I usually skip all the jam/custard filled ones and head straight for the chocolate. But I love fresh fruit and this doughnut highlights that as it's star. The raspberry jam is made fresh from scratch and is just the right amount of tart and sweet. My favourite thing about this flavour though has to be the funky design; all jelly doughnuts look the same but this one stands out of the pack! With a wonderful coating of sugar and an explosion of raspberry peeking out on the front this one is in my opinion the prettiest doughnut in the collection. If I could have these shipped to me in the States I would, so if you're out and around Soho you've got to try these amazing creations. Keep it going Crosstown! read more
I received a box of crosstown doughnuts from my recruitment agency for my first day of work (shout out to redhat recruitment). The box contained 3 different flavours: vanilla, chocolate and strawberry jam. They were a bit too heavy for my tastes tbh. They're very bready and the fillings are very rich. For example the glazed chocolate doughnuts had a thick chocolate truffle filling (think a giant chocolate truffle wrapped in bread). I can see the appeal but I prefer my doughnuts light and airy with a light creamy filling (I.e. From Bread ahead). Also I was kind of shocked to see how much crosstown doughtnuts actually cost (up to £3.75 for one doughtnut!). read more

A few months ago, I had a raspberry jam rocky road donut from Crosstown Doughnuts in Broadway Market and it was pretty good ! So when I came across the shop in Soho, I had to try new ones... I shared one raspberry and coconut donut (raspberry jam in the donut, chocolate glaze and coconut on top) and one raspberry-rhubarb donut with meringue. The first one was a classic combination but was really good ! You can't go wrong with raspberry-chocolate-coconut anyway ;) The second one was pretty messy to eat but was good too ! The combination was more original, even if I wished there was more filling inside the donut (the donut was plain and the jam was on top) I still think Crosstown Doughnuts are delicious, but I have to admit I'm looking for more never seen before flavours combination. (And more salted caramel please ;)) Maybe I will come back in a few weeks to see the new additions to the menu ? read more
This is a solid doughnut temple. The staff were friendly and knew their doughnuts. Great little place to come for a quick doughnut and coffee. Interesting and varied selection of doughnuts. Quick service. I went for the peanut butter one with a berry compote on top. Beautiful design and great taste - I liked that the compote had a little bit of a tart kick to it. read more
I have to confess that I am not a fan of doughnuts. Never been and never will. But I felt that I had to try out this place. Location is perfect as the opening time ( opens until 10pm weekdays!) That makes this place a perfect spot of late night munching dealer. I love chocolate but when you come later during the day the odds that you get a chocolate flavoured one is thinner. Nevermind, i tried the orange Blossom, cardamom and Dates and was surprised by the dough that was more cakey than yeasty. They do serve some mean coffee by Assembly. The positive point is the sales ladies that are nice and helpful. read more

Some of London's very best doughnuts and the perfect breakfast treat. Or lunch treat. Or "oh-my-god-is-it-only-really-Tuesday" treat... The Crème Brulée and Matcha flavours are amongst my favourites and I simply can't wait to get my hands on one of their new beetroot ones! read more
