Well Rooted claim to be all natural and not to give antibiotics, and that they're so bad for you…read more Well they gave our 6yr old son 4 schedules of antibiotics in less than three months back to back. Didn't test if bacterial or viral either. All of a sudden we watched our two sport healthy son wether away, he was pooing dust and blood 20+ times a day. Couldn't sleep because of urgency.. Spent a week in the hospital in which they told us he has UC and possibly Crohns. Our son lost so much blood he is anemic, and the trauma from the hospital has made him refuse all help from doctors now. He was put on steroids and awful prescription drugs to try and stop what he was going through.. Our son missed 40 days of school, his graduation from kindergarten, a season of hockey and he now lives in constant pain. Begging to go in the bath 10 times a day or walking around constantly with a heating pad on his stomach to help with pain and cramps.. We constantly look for bathrooms when driving places just in case, and praying if we have to go that no one's in the stalls.. It even hurts to look at old pictures because it reminds us of what our son was just a short time ago.. It's now "before he was sick" and "after he was sick." We feel absolutely helpless. It hangs over us like a nightmare and it won't ever end.. Anytime my wife calls me it fills me with anxiety and questions on if something bad happened.. Our whole life now revolves around taking care of our son. Are his dreams to play high level sports gone? Will he be able to ever go to school again..?? We have to home school for now because this is a lifelong disease. Is our 6yr olds colon going to have to be removed..? Will he develop cancer..? We're up all night reading and researching ANYTHING that can help stop this... We've spent thousands on specialists and testing already. I have no more joy in life.. Don't take a chance with your family's health and well being.. AND THEY HAVE THE AUDACITY TO GIVE US A CEASE AND DESIST threatening legal action for things The Consumer Review Fairness act of 2016/Anti-SLAPP protects.

Many reasons I would defer you from this practice: Office…read morestaff is horrible They require a CC on file I gave them one but asked to see a bill prior to being charged so I could verify the charges and insurance was being billed. They told me I have to get a bill through the insurance company (EOB) but they want to charge me right away My 5 yr old ended up in the hospital once released we had to do a follow up visit - front office asked me to pay the hospital bill in full (we never got it yet) which I refused as it was being sent through insurance - they refused to see my son until I got on the phone with their office manager who "made a 1 time exception" We just got out of the hospital!! I wasn't paying thousands of dollars! Called for a sick visit was told since my daughter hadn't been there in a while (healthy kid) they didn't have time - they needed a 45 min appointment verses 30 mins as she would be a "new patient" She was there for a physical a year earlier You wait longer in the waiting room or exam room than the time you have with the doctor. My 3 yr old needed an eye referral I called and asked for one - they wouldn't give me one until I came in - another reason to grab a copay These are a few of the many reasons I'm leaving the practice after 9 years The place is not the same

I called PAB to get an appointment for her as my husband had a positive covid test the Friday before my first call. At this point, my husband was on day 9 from when his symptoms started. I also was covid positive. The office said that we should assume that my 5-year-old had covid as well. I asked if we should test her and they said there was no point. I asked if it should be on record that she had covid and they said no. They told me I can go get her tested at one of those places on the side of the road. On Saturday the 22nd I spoke to them again and let them know my daughter's symptoms had not gone away including a fever of 105 at times, urinating the bed, complaining of stomach pain, and vomiting. They said covid does funny things. On Tuesday the 25th I called again stating that my daughter was still ill and they still did not want us to come in and I pushed for an appointment. Upon further investigation my daughter never had Covid, she had a UTI. This child was sick for over a week because the office assumed she had covid but refused to test her. After one round of antibiotics, her symptoms came back. On February 6 I called the emergency number for my child's doctor's office. The doctor on call was a Doctor Kaufman. I explained my daughter's situation to him and he said I needed to go to the ER. I explained the last time we went to the ER we waited 4 hours. He then laughed at me and said," Well that is life isn't it." I then asked him if it was possible to go somewhere else and he told me; " I do not work for immediate care so you will have to make some phone calls." Followed by, " I an concerned for your child, and it's clear that you don't feel like doing anything to help your child today." WOW! As a parent, I was shocked. Who accuses a mom who is calling an emergency number on a Sunday that they don't care for their child. What kind of a doctor does such a thing? I sent a message through the online message board to tell the office what happened and said I would like to file a complaint. On Monday the 6th the office called me and I asked to file a complaint. Lisa told me the doctor was a nice guy, no one had ever complained before, and they didn't know how the complaint process works. Lisa also said that in my chart it said I denied a telehealth appointment on January 21st when the UTI issue began. I let her know that I never spoke to anyone at PAB on the 21st and had requested a telehealth appointment on the 20th to which I was told no. February 9th, I took my daughter back to the office, and her doctor set up a treatment plan for her and requested she gets a kidney ultrasound. February 10th, I was sent a certified letter letting me know that we are no longer welcome at the doctor's office and I had 30 days to find a new doctor. On February 17th I filled out the offices form asking for my daughter's entire records to be printed. I was told they would be ready the next day. Upon receiving my child's records I noticed that there we multiple medical records missing. There was no record of her February 9th office visit and her treatment plan. There was no record of the two visits we had in December in which my child was prescribed antibiotics. How is my child's new doctor supposed to treat and understand the scope and sequence of her medical issue if she doesn't have the full records? I then called the parent company Pedi Trust to ask about the complaint process. They said there was a process and set up a conference call between Al Compos( Pedia trust), Lisa Stoll( office manager and PAB), and myself on March 7th. On the call, Lisa said it was my fault that I was released from the office because I do not trust them. She also said that the medical records are available online and I can see them there if I want to. Apparently, if a parent wants their child's full medical records after being dismissed from PAB it is the parent's responsibility to print them? The representative from Peditrust( Al Compos) became very upset and asked to end the call. He asked me how I wanted my full records and then repeatedly asked to end the call as he did not know when FedEx closed that day. I was then hung up on. My records were never overnighted that day. It is my feeling that I was asked to leave the office as retribution because I asked to file a complaint against one of the Doctors. This place is good a few things: Mismanagement of medical records, punishing children when their parents try to ask valid questions, and dismissing clients when they ask to file a complaint. RUN!!!!! If you would like to file a complaint about this doctor's office please contact the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
