We have been patients at Sander's Court Pediatrics for the past four years and have entrusted them…read morewith the care of both of our children. Because of that, we were especially disappointed by the way we were treated. We recently received a call informing us that our insurance was no longer accepted, even though we are in the middle of the year. To better understand the situation, we did a three-way call with BlueCross Blue Shield and a representative from Sander's. Unfortunately, the Sander's representative, Jennifer, was extremely rude throughout the conversation - not only to us, but also to the BlueCross representative. She repeatedly interrupted us while we were trying to ask questions and, numerous times during the call, announced that she was "leaving the call" even though we were still trying to understand what was happening and had unanswered questions. It felt like she was more interested in ending the conversation than helping us. To make matters even more unprofessional, she answered another phone call while she was still on the line with us. We could hear her entire conversation, making it obvious that she was no longer listening to us or focused on resolving our concerns. We were honestly shocked by how dismissive and unprofessional the entire interaction was. We completely understand that insurance contracts and coverage can change. What is not acceptable is treating patients with disrespect when they are simply trying to understand their options for their children. Families deserve to be treated with professionalism and respect, and unfortunately that was completely lacking in our experience. Based on this experience, we would absolutely not recommend Sander's Court Pediatrics to any family looking for a pediatric practice that values its patients.

I can't say good enough things about our experiences at Sanders Court with their doctors and office…read morestaff. We have been going there for 5 years now with my 3 girls (10, 8, & 5) and we are so happy with our care. The girls see Dr Breen regularly and she has gone above and beyond to help me deal with lots of surprising medical issues my children have had in the past 5 years. She took the time to talk with me and help guide me when some of my older daughters' specialists didn't agree on the route of care. And she is so knowledgeable, when I am in with one of my girls if I need to ask about the others, she remembers everything and can easily keep up with me when I am switching from kid to kid, which is very impressive. When we go in for sick visits, all of the doctors are very helpful and easy to work with! They always listen and have also helped from the sick visits with recommendations for my kids overall care. We also have an HMO so I work very closely with Jennifer, the referral coordinator, who is beyond amazing! She responds quickly and is always very helpful. With my 3 kids at some points, we were seeing up to 10 specialists, and Jennifer got me the referrals I needed quickly and has also gone above and beyond just being an amazing supportive person to work with and helping a mom navigate all these appts, tests, procedures, etc that her kids have needed!

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this pediatric clinic…read more At my newborn's first appointment, just two days after being discharged from the hospital, Dr. Michael O'Donnell examined my baby. My baby had been delivered with vacuum assistance after a difficult labor lasting more than two hours, which resulted in a small scalp abrasion and some temporary head molding. Every doctor and nurse at the hospital had reassured us that the injury was healing normally and that everything looked fine. However, Dr. O'Donnell told us that our baby needed to go to the emergency room immediately and suggested the situation could be very serious. As new parents, this caused enormous stress and panic. We dropped everything, rushed to the ER, and after a full evaluation, we were told that there was nothing seriously wrong with our baby. The entire ordeal felt unnecessary and created significant anxiety during an already difficult postpartum period. What was even more frustrating was the behavior of the front desk staff. When we brought our newborn in for an early pediatric visit, the staff refused to allow the appointment because our baby did not yet have insurance (she did not have Social Security Number as she was not even a month old baby at that time). Any parent of a newborn knows that obtaining a Social Security Number takes time. Despite this, the staff insisted that our baby could not be seen. Only after escalating the situation did a doctor step in and confirm that the appointment could proceed normally. This experience made me feel that the staff either lacked proper training or did not understand standard newborn insurance procedures. The doctors may be knowledgeable, but the unnecessary emergency referral and the extremely poor handling by the front desk left me with little confidence in this clinic. New parents deserve accurate guidance, professionalism, and compassion! NOT confusion, stress, and obstacles to receiving care.

Their policy is to have you arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time only to make you wait…read morefor 30-60 minutes in the waiting room. This has happened to us on several occasions and has gotten to the point of us deciding to go elsewhere. BTW, I'm writing this while I sit here in the patient room with my daughter still waiting to see the doctor for over 45 minutes.
