As it was, I couldn't even get past the receptionist. I chose this doctor- 40 minutes from my home- because of the good reviews. However, a doctor's quality is also reflected in their staff. The office person did notify me two days before to come in early because I had not filled out my paperwork online. Well, the day before my appointment I did print it out and fill it in- in case there were any unforeseen traffic events I would be prepared upon arrival. I was relieved when I arrived at 3:31 (yes, there was horrendous traffic on the way). I was only one minute late! I handed my paperwork to the receptionist, who was already unhappy. She monotoned, "you were supposed to be here by 3:15". Yes, I responded, but that was because I hadn't filled out my paperwork- so here it is filled out. At this point another person inserted herself and said, "You were late, we will have to reschedule you." Seriously? I looked at my watch- it was 3:32pm by this point. "Seriously?" I said outloud. Seriously. I had slammed into a wall and they were unbudging. I was simply stunned. There were no other patients that I could see. I didn't know how to respond. I couldn't comprehend the lack of kindness or empathy that I had just navigated through 40 minutes of driving to arrive there...let alone the constant pain in my feet. I didn't know what to do- so I just walked out. I will find another doctor closer to home.

Thre are bookshelves (take one leave one) and puzzles (community) everywhere. What I didn't realize at first, is this was the waiting room. That's because they don't walk out and shout your name like most places. Instead they mark what you're wearing/your characteristics so the nurse can come approach you one on one to come back to see the doctor. All the staff I've encountered has been so helpful and genuinely caring, spending all the time you need to explain every detail. Dr. Moxley has been a life saver. Figuratively and literally. Also... that cafeteria is delicious, which may seem trivial, but that means a whole lot when you're spending hours on end in a place. Gouda mac and cheese for the win!!

Total 20 minutes with this DR. I had all new lab work done, and two months no calls about the results. I called the lab which told me how to look at the results and I was floored. Out of 8 blood tests, 7 came back severely out of range. I called the DR. and no return calls, till I got online at their site and lodged a complaint. She returned the call finally, very put out that I complained. she offered no recommendations on how to deal with the results and only responded when I said, well what about my cholesterol. Very high, she asked me, the patient, what meds did I want. I had no idea, as I had no idea there was an issue. she rattled off two names and I chose Simvastatin, the first one. very quickly I developed sore throats and flu symptoms, and when I called, the nurse said to stop taking it. That was the last I heard from anyone. I called the office and canceled my next appt for three months later, and explained I would find a doctor interested in helping their patients. In my lifetime, at 68 years of age, this is the worst medical practice I have ever seen. Now I'm stuck with finding a new doctor, because her superiors never even cared to check her work, or respond to problems. Disgusting and unprofessional conduct for a Physician.

She offered zero expertise. She should also hire adequate staff so someone is there to answer the phones and make timely appointments and referrals. Getting a shot in your spine is always stressful, but the staff here make me feel so comfortable and reassured that I almost look forward to my injections. Key word being 'almost' cause it's still a needle in my spine and that will always suck. The doctors that work out of OSH are all great. I currently see Dr. Valentine, and he is amazing. He always does his best to be patient and kind when giving my injections. He constantly checks to make sure I am doing ok and that I am comfortable. And the nurses here are amazing! It's almost like they are your stand-in mom, there to comfort you and distract you during the procedure. I seriously adore them. So as much as being at OSH can suck because it means you're in pain, just know that this is the best place you can go to get relief!

As soon as my husband and I went to a room, the nurses are super attentive and super sweet: It was past midnight, when we got there. Not only that they took care of me immediately, they made sure they took care of my husband too. A nurse gave him a better chair , a recliner, to be more comfortable. They got me hooked up to the monitors and made sure I was comfortable. The nurses are probably more in their early to mid 20s. The room is clean, and spacious. The bathroom has plenty of room in the shower. I don't know what else to say except the Oklahoma Heart Hospital south really took great care of me! .
