Hills and old…read moretrees Evergreen Cemetery is a cemetery built on a hill. Quite a steep hill in fact with lots of smaller rolling hills. The whole graveyard is filled with great old trees that gives the cemetery a very park like feel. Most of the memorials are rather modest but some are unique and beautiful. None seem especially old and many that I saw were from the 19th and 20th centuries. They don't seem to plow the roads in the winter so it's quite a hike up the hill in the deep snow but it does have some nice views from the top. A nice graveyard that blends in with the surrounding environment extremely nicely

Hills and crosses…read more St Denis Cemetery is affiliated with St Denis Church which is just down the street. It's an interesting graveyard that isn't especially old or filled with grand and massive monuments but it does have a whole variety of different crosses as well as some fairly large and unique gravestones. The cemetery is situated on a rather steep hill that offers some nice views from the top. The hill gives the graveyard an interesting perspective and it must had been difficult to erect some of the larger stones on the steep hill. Most of the gravestones were from the mid 19th century or newer but there were a few worn gravestones that were impossible to read that might have been around before the St Denis Cemetery was official opened. A nice graveyard that is filled with interesting crosses, surrounded by stone walls and located on a steep hill with nice views.

Few years back had a problem with the cemetery my wife for four and a half years argued with a guy…read moreover there that our grave site that we owned the double grave site and my brother had one next to us it was a body in it of a woman and next to her would be her husband buried and we argued and argued my wife did with this guy who wouldn't give her the right time of day I know he was the one with cancer and other stuff too but he did not understand that a woman knew what she could do I spoke to Laura McCool who used to run the cemetery and she also gave me the measurements and told me that Saint Dennis and the guy was wrong yeah that's our plot we had the deed for it and there's not enough room between my parents and my uncle to bury all the people they're supposed to be buried didn't matter he still wouldn't listen what does she know she told us well after he stepped aside because he was dealing with his problems new priest came in we met with them him I had gone over a couple days before that and measured up the the prop the plots and what I found out that my brother my wife and myself would be buried in about 30 in of space that was left and this guy kept telling my wife that's plenty to bury three people no it's not my plot is 36 by I'm not sure it's I think it's 8 ft not 30 in by 8 ft and three people are supposed to be buried in it but like I said he didn't want to listen to her and he didn't want to listen to me the new priests and I had a discussion he called up the archdiocese and they sent up a guy from some cemetery and then a couple other people they met with me within 5 minutes they went inside got the maps looked it over and the guy from the archdioce cemetery knew there was a big problem lady was buried in our plot now the German I was staying there with us to look you got money coming to you one she's been buried it for 4 years too the house so you went through the church will take care of you at this point I did not want her removed because I felt funny about digging up somebody that's already been buried but a week later they did that and moved her to her plot now I feel like my plot it's been used I just don't feel comfortable with it my wife and I offer them a solution at the time give us plot over where we could have ashes cremated and be buried I thought that was easy solution but for some reason they didn't do that never got to thank you or an apology from the church never got any money for the house that we went through and a four and a half years we dealt with this and everyone got an apology from the guy that kept telling us we were wrong and my wife didn't know anything the day that lady was buried in our plot she went and brought up the fact that that's our plot and it's easy to deal with because you have a deed with a number but he did not want to understand that and wouldn't bother he kept playing it off that she's a woman and didn't know nothing and I'm sorry that's wrong and the church is wrong again four and a half years dealing with this aggravation and anxiety that we went through and we don't even get an apology from the church I don't know boy God bless you all

A class act during trying times…read more A dear friend of mine was recently waked at the Uxbridge location. There is plenty of parking, and a wonderful staff to greet you at the door. The faculty is large, modern, handicap friendly, and extremely clean and well kept. The display room was classy, charming and peaceful. The display was wonderful as well. Upstairs is where you pick out all the options and they are set up very beautifully with prices in plain view, so no awkward asking for a price. Multiple rooms with lots of seating. They also helped us creat a slide show and it came out wonderfully. My poppy was in good hands here and I'm so thankful. This is a beautiful place to say goodbye to the ones you loved.
