They have been told over and over not to block this emergency road and they ignored it along with several signs. Their ignorance caused several people time and money. To top it, they did not even have the decency to come over to me or any of the other vehicles waiting to let us know how long it would be or to say sorry they messed up. The owner was rude and condescending to me when I had to walk over through mud to him. I would not use this pompous fool for any of my family members. He is obviously not a rule follower which would put up many other RED FLAGS about his integrity in other matters regarding our beloved. Thank God there was no emergency and emergency vehicles didn't need to get to the home or business he was blocking. Lastly when service ended he purposely tried to block me in waving other cars through. Complete jerk.

This is not the case for the Britton Wallace Funeral Home in Auburn. My grandfather sadly passed away a week ago and his funeral was to be held at Britton Wallace. I had a very upsetting encounter at Britton and Wallace with Shannon. Shannon acted in a very unprofessional manner. She was extremely rude and disrespectful on the day of my grandfather's funeral as she tried to bully me into thinking I was not welcome there to grieve his passing. She showed absolutely no compassion and I am disgusted by how I was treated even after complying with the funeral home rules. If someone can't understand how to treat people who are in an emotionally vulnerable state, then they most certainly should not be in the funeral home business. I do not reccomend this horrible place to anyone who is trying to mourn the loss of a loved one.

But our experience…read morethere with my mother was so upsetting...and I had tried repeatedly for over a year after her burial to get someone to get back to me so I could get some fingerprint jewelry made as a tribute...no one has returned my calls or emails (left so many messages) and they did not answer the bell when I went there on two separate occasions (made sure cars were there and it was in the afternoon). They were rude and cold and disrespectful with our family's wishes. This is how it felt after we buried my mom. No one should feel that way at such a painful time in their lives. When my brother died, we went with Mercadante Funeral Home in Worcester and it was painfully obvious how horribly we were treated at Britton Wallace. It was amazing how different the experience was and how much more caring and beautiful our tribute to my brother was at Mercadante. I was saddened that we did not have the same care and amenities for my mother. You may not mind being treated as a business arrangement, but if you want compassion, respect, and someone to honestly take the time over and over again to help and support you throughout the funeral process, then you should NOT use Britton Wallace in Auburn MA for your loved ones.

I had multiple phone calls with them and they were able to assist me even though I was in California. I mostly spoke with Jake and Colton during this process. When I arrived Saturday was the only day I could go down and we had a snowstorm the day prior. Roads were pretty bad and they were able to accommodate me even though they had a service going on. Parking can be a nightmare there, I parked a few blocks away near a barber shop. I would recommend this place to everyone!! I was truly blown away by their service and empathy.

Every year my lawn was getting decimated by heat, grubs, etc. I was wasting time and money as the treatments I was putting on my lawn were not getting properly watered in. The amount of effort it took every year to get my lawn back was getting to be too much. So this year, I just had an irrigation system installed in my 1 acre yard by Mike Lynch Enterprises and I couldn't have been happier with the job that was done at my home. Mike and his team gave me a very competitive price, everything was documented in the quote. They even provided spec sheets for all of their top of the line products (pipe, fittings, heads, etc.). They arrived the day of the install bright and early and were literally in and out by a little after lunch time. What a GREAT group of guys !!! Mike clearly explained the process and the installation from start to finish leaving no stone unturned. There was hardly any clean up required at all when they left, you barely knew they were here. I would HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for an irrigation system to get in touch with Mike Lynch Enterprises, he's a good local guy, honest and straight forward and his team knows exactly what they're doing. This was a great experience from start to finish, I can't wait till spring time to start watering my lawn haha.

We were on the early side which with our luck was also the day of that freak snowstorm in May. I contacted them to change delivery at the last minute, and they did with no problem. We needed more after the first delivery and called kind of in a panic, and they again were VERY accommodating. The mulch was perfect, good price, with no plastic or debris that I noticed. We had that happen with another company. After the summer hit full swing we decided to install irrigation for a new lawn. Having had such a good experience with everything else we added MLE into the quotes we were getting for irrigation. Their quote was not the most expensive by far and not the least expensive either, but it seemed like we would have better materials and more attention to detail with MLE. They came when they said they were going to, accommodated my schedule, I could not be there on the initial date. Coordinating three separate contractors to get the whole landscape done was a challenge, but I enjoyed working with Mike and Barbara to get our project done perfectly.

I was quoted around $200. I specifically asked about carburetor work and was told that if anything additional work was needed, I would be called for approval before any work was done. I dropped the snow blower off on 1/21, knowing a storm was coming and that it might not be ready right away. When I called to check the status, I was told it was done and just needed a manager's sign-off. When I called back to ask about the total cost, I was shocked to be told the bill was $365. I was then informed that the carburetor had been rebuilt--without my approval. When I questioned why no one called me first, I was told they "assumed" I would want it running. While of course I want it running, I should've been called first to go over pricing. The person I spoke with showed little concern and initially brushed me off, saying they were too busy. I was disconnected while waiting, had to call back, and explain everything again. Eventually they took $50 off, which I appreciate, but this should never have happened in the first place. This is poor business practice. Just like with a car, if additional work is needed beyond the original estimate, you call the customer for approval, you don't just do the work and send a much higher bill. I will not be returning, and I will make sure others I know are aware of this experience.

They asked for my model # and serial # and said they had the part but closed at 2:00PM and it was 1:53 PM. They had the part but they were closing in 7 minutes and I was 15 minutes away. The gentleman asked if it was okay if he left the part outside in a certain location so I could pick it up after paying for it over the phone and of course I said absolutely. He even took a picture of it so I could easily find it. I paid for it, drove down and picked it up. This small business saved my back and butt and allowed me to get my machine repaired and ready for this storm just in time. I actually drove to their Lancaster location by accident first not realizing they have two locations and I saw tons of Ariens snow blowers there. If anyone needs parts locally or needs new or used equipment then I would check this place out first before going to the big box store. Thank you Rotti's Equipment for saving my back. That was a close one!

Jeff is not only an amazing funeral director, he is a kind, compassionate, thoughtful, wonderful human being. Even though we'd arranged for pre-planned services many years ago, Jeff treated us as if we were writing a check today! My father-in-law passed away at 6:00 in the morning in a nursing home. I received a call from Jeff at 7:30am telling me he's picked up dad, and he was safe in the funeral home. He arranged for a time that was convenient for us to come in much later that day to make Dad's final arrangements. I swear he works about 20 hours a day! While dad had done the original planning years ago, Jeff still helped us put together a service which was perfect for our family, and did everything we asked to honor the great man our father was. All the details were handled beautifully, and we didn't need to worry about a thing. Dad was very ill at the end of his life and had lost a significant amount of weight, so we were worried about how he would look for the calling hours. No worry needed. Jeff prepared our dad for burial expertly, and made him look like he was younger and healthier again. In fact, it was so comforting for us to say it looked like he was just taking a nap. Dad was a veteran, so Jeff arranged for a service with full military honors, which was so important to Dad, and meant so much to us. I cannot more highly recommend Jeff and Hays Funeral Home. The genuine care and concern he showed for all of us and his expertise in his craft created a beautiful memory for us rather than just a sad day of loss. Thank you Jeff, and Rachel, for all you did for us. We could not possibly be any more pleased with the services and burial. Most of the graveyard is on small rolling hills with lovely old trees, bushes and flowers scatter about. A beautiful, park like setting that is a great place for an easy walk anytime of the year. Everything is spread so there are lots of place to park without blocking the road. A very lovely cemetery that doesn't have a lot of really huge and grandiose memorials but does reflect the different ideas and symbolic subjects that individuals can come up with.
