They examined it thoroughly and ultimately diagnosed the problem as a fault in the motherboard. The solution turned out to be putting my solid state drive into another laptop several generations newer....effectively salvaging all my data and apps on a newer machine...all this for a few hundred bucks. They were extremely communicative, provided a fast resolution and ensured my PC was working to the best of it's ability. They were able to identify the power going to the GPU wasn't enough, due to user error on my part during the installation. They even went and updated my BIOS, drivers, and OS! I requested an appointment over email and Alan got back to me very quickly. He was able to get my laptop up and working again, remove my Windows password, and even performed a tune-up. Now my laptop is working great, and way faster than before. Alan also kept me informed throughout the entire process, and was happy to listen and answer questions at every stage. I can't thank Rescuecom and Roy enough for helping me yet another time with a computer emergency…read more I've been a customer for over 10 years and while for the most time, I don't need a lot of services other than regular security updates and tune-ups, there's been a few times over the years where I had an urgent crisis that I needed help with ASAP. In those situations, like when your computer is being hacked or taken over, there is no time to research options and wait on hold for whatever service you're calling to pick up and hopefully be able to help you. I did something completely idiotic this morning when I was under stress and had to download a song for a performance ASAP to send to a client, and because I let my guard down for a second, a malicious virus was planted in my laptop and the computer screen got locked with a suspicious phone number to a "help" line. Thank god I was able to call Roy ASAP so that he could resolve the situation before it was too late and the hackers managed to steal my data. Roy, thank you again! I appreciate you so much!!
