My son's debit card was recently compromised through a fraud scheme. Per Wells Fargo's Zero…read moreLiability Protection Fraud Policy we did notify Wells Fargo as soon as we became aware, which was within their 60 day policy grace period. However, Wells Fargo is taking the stance that these transactions are not fraud and are our responsibility. I'm sorry, but I 100% disagree with Wells Fargo and I'm starting to move my banking business to another banking institution that has better customer service. I recently made the Canby branch Manager aware of a 1099 reporting issue and was told how to fix it. Well that fixed it alright--turned it into not only a 1099 reporting issue but also a withholding issue. When I attempted to have it "fixed" again, the branch manager was not only unhelpful, she was flat out rude. Continuously talking over me and patronizing. No matter how many times I explained the situation (verified by a tax attorney), she insisted their "error" was not an error and even suggested that I did not provide proper documentation when I opened the account. Not the case. She treated me as if I was stupid and a liar. Great business practice. Her communication "style" was to be patronizing, to interrupt me, to talk louder than me, and to repeat the same inaccurate information over and over again in an attempt to either make it true or cover the company posterior.
