I went to US Automotive for their $69.00 "special" where they offer free brake inspection, rotating tires, oil & fluid checks, etc. They charged me $250.00 just to LOOK at the air conditioner. Told me it would cost $1,500 to $1,800 to fix it. Told me to check my dashboard lights it could be up to $1,000. To fix my driver side window it could be $300.00 or more. They said it was the motor on the window. All it was was the button. I heard about Interstate Auto through some friends, so I took it to them. They fixed my dashboard lights, my drivers side window, got me a new key fob, fixed my air conditioner AND found a problem with my brakes and fixed them. They said if someone HAD inspected my brakes they would have seen the problem. I knew something was wrong with the brakes, being female I just didn't know what it was. They fixed all of this for a third less than what US automotive wanted just to fix my air conditioner! Oh and US Automotive did NOT rotate my tires! How do I know? I am missing a hubcap on the drivers side tire. The hubcapped tire never moved. FYI people STAY AWAY FROM US AUTOMOTIVE! I highly recommend Interstate Auto hands down. I will never go anywhere else! Carrie shows great qualifications and prior to the inspection she sounded like she was very…read moreknowledgeable with inspecting any type of RV including a Motorhome which is what we needed. When we had her inspect a 2003 Beaver Motorhome she missed some very important aspects of the Motorhome and didn't seem very familiar with major common systems in the coach, therefore many things were missed or inaccurate on her report. For example, she was not familiar with Aqua Hot so she never checked it and when she turned on the water to test whether or not it was getting hot she gave us temperatures in the 60's leading us to believe the water wasn't getting hot but she didn't leave it on long enough for the temps to rise. When she tested the washer/dryer combo she never even checked to see if the water supply was turned on to it which it was not and reported to us that the rinse cycle was not working because there was no water coming out. She also never checked the suspension airbags, as well as the tag axle switch to see if they actually raise and the list goes on. Would definitely never use her again nor would we recommend her. We feel it was a total waste of money because after much conversation with the owners of the coach, they were able to prove that her report was very inaccurate.

The shop failed the brake pads but changed their mind when I made them remove a wheel instead of looking through with a flashlight. State law requires that they remove a wheel To inspect the brakes. This took them 6hrs to complete and I did not receive a call until 3pm. They gave me a pricey $1800 dollar estimate for the AC and I found out that was part of a $4000 estimate that they performed on my entire car. Well... fast forward a week and I took my car to another mechanic for a better estimate and he asked me if I had any problems with my car. I asked him "why?" and he informed me that the intake was never reconnected. I do not recommend Mr. Fix It. It's more like Mr. Waste Your Time and Steal Your Money.
