They don't allow more stars or I would have given them 1,000. These guys are great! Let me start by giving information on what brought me here. I went to US Automotive for their $69.00 "special" where they offer free brake inspection, rotating tires, oil & fluid checks, etc. They charged me $250.00 just to LOOK at the air conditioner. Told me it would cost $1,500 to $1,800 to fix it. Told me to check my dashboard lights it could be up to $1,000. To fix my driver side window it could be $300.00 or more. They said it was the motor on the window. All it was was the button. I heard about Interstate Auto through some friends, so I took it to them. They fixed my dashboard lights, my drivers side window, got me a new key fob, fixed my air conditioner AND found a problem with my brakes and fixed them. They said if someone HAD inspected my brakes they would have seen the problem. I knew something was wrong with the brakes, being female I just didn't know what it was. They fixed all of this for a third less than what US automotive wanted just to fix my air conditioner! Oh and US Automotive did NOT rotate my tires! How do I know? I am missing a hubcap on the drivers side tire. The hubcapped tire never moved. FYI people STAY AWAY FROM US AUTOMOTIVE! I highly recommend Interstate Auto hands down. I will never go anywhere else! Absolutely terrible service I took my car to them to get the air condition fixed they charged me 230 dollars said it was good to go. it was not took it back to them after i figured out my self what was wrong and told them they charged me 60 dollars for a looking at it for the second time and told me they could fix what I told them was messed up for $615 more after they said they fixed it the first time but didn't do anything at all this company is a complete and total rip off. Ive spoke to alot of people today after what intersta auto has done to me and I have two other people I've spoke to that have been completely screwed by this company. unfortunately this makes you give them a minimum of one star they don't deserve half a star. read more

I trusted these guys because they always helped me through the years and seemed honest I took my yellow cab in there to be fixed I told them to go over it with a fine tooth comb and fix everything 2700 later after they named everything to be fixed and said that was all that was wrong they said my car would be perfect like new again and would run for a long time when they said it was done and that their mechanic had put my battery terminals on wrong and fried my brand-new just bought 175$ battery but that they put a newone in to replace it also charging me over $60 for battery install my husband and cousin came and got it it wouldn't even start at first to leave with it and whenever my husband tried to say something to the mechanic about it he dismissed him said to have a good day and walked off my husband finally got it started and brought it home turns out they didn't fix my brakes right we paid for had to pay timo have it redone THEY RELEASED IT SAYING IT WAS SAFE TO DRIVE IT WASNT they fried my starter I had to replace they knocked a hole in my A/C compressor I had to have changed and checked out because my A/C worked when it went in and when it came out it didn't they messed up my temp sensor wiring harness they put a hole in some hose on my car that had to be changed after fixing all that it's throwing a timing belt code a camshaft position sensor code oxygen codes and after we paid I think 500 to fix an oil leak there seems to be oil still leaking out the motor my taxi sat out back most of the time with several witnesses who seen it outside instead of in the shop being fixed so what did I pay 2700 for????? Where is the promise my car will be like new again and run for quite a while??? Oh yes I had the struts/shocks or what ever it was that was clanking fixed yet there is still clanking so I guess it is ok to take advantage of a female and an elderly military veteran that doesn't know any better to make money to feed your family and it doesn't matter that we can't take care of ours and we're out 2700 on a car that came out worse then it went in read more

NO! Inspection SCAM played on me. Mike seems to have been in a foul mood and acted as if I was bothering him. He tells me I need new ball joints and that his shop specializes in replacing them! No Thanks Mike! I just had front end work done to the vehicle. I took it to two other mechanic shops after Mike rejected my vehicle and was told the ball joints were in spec and it passed inspection. He also tried to explain to me in a condescending way how the work my mechanic last month did not need to be done. Beware I am told he rejects lots of vehicles hoping to secure work through false pretenses. I paid the $12 again this time for a real inspection somewhere else and will never be back and recommend you do not drive into his shop for any work. read more

WARNING DONT GO HERE!!!!! I went here to get my car fixed I even told them what the problem was and what it needed and I asked them to fix it the gave me a price quote of $$$$$ I then agreed to the price they then set an appointment with me and we took the car in for repairs and they tell me its going to be far less then the original quote so i agree to it as long as the replace the necessary part that for sure needed to be replaced. they called me to let me know it was done i get there and i am told that they replaced the sensor and did a oil change as well as replaced a bearing and the price was about 400 a lot less than the original quote I'm like cool and i paid it i take the car home drive it for a few days and the same sensor problem occurs again so i have another mechanic come out look at the car and we go over everything that said they did and all they did was an oil change they never replaced the bearings they took the sensor out and put plumbers Teflon tape on the threads (which stopped the leak for a day but disintegrated under the heat of the engine block) then put the stock part back in. so basically 400 for an oil change. and your probably asking why they didn't charge me the big price then we figured it out as well it were cost you more money to sue them and take them to court than 400 dollars so its a heck of a scam they got going on. I chose to use this establishment because they advertise specialty in air-conditioning. First fix was over $300 and it failed; Second fix at $150 said they had not noticed something; Second fix failed. I would have tried one more time but they act as if you are bothering their daily activities when you talk to them. read more

Oh, what can I say. Our AC went out while driving from Ohio to California with our 4 dogs. It was 98 and humid. We found this repair shop online and Mike immediately accommodated us. He replaced the compressor and got our AC up and running. He even brought the car to our hotel when it was finished. Can't say enough positive things. Don't get an inspection here. They'll use impacts on your lugs and over-torque them, and will fail a perfectly fine car. They told me I have an exhaust leak, and failed my inspection.
