Very cute - old timey-wimey train depot building relocated to serve as the centralized home to some pretty great locally produced food (produce and prepared items), personal care items, arts and crafts. Good local produce, for good prices. Awesome prices on gourds, squash, and pumpkins. Lots of uglies and heirloom-y fun. The fresh eggs are my favorite, though. Un-beatable! (Lol!) Sooooooo yummy. A great place for a pit stop, when they're open (please note, all spots on the elevated floor are not created equal...tread carefully)!

Not only did they rob me of my neck and giblets and cut out a chunk of the turkey, most real farms include herbs from their garden for brining. This heritage turkey had absolutely no flavor of game to convince me it was raised wild. I have prepared and roasted goose, duck, and wild turkey for over 20 years for my family, and this farm is not authentic. They are a mass prouder that can't keep their facilities straight enough for quality control! Hello Via, Thanks for your message, I am thinking you are not finding the bag of giblets in your turkey? We use a local USDA butcher to process all of our meats, and he packages the giblets and neck from each turkey and then adds them back into the cavity. The package can be difficult to reach and you may have to try from both ends of the turkey. You will also need to wait until the turkey is completely thawed to reach the pack as it will be frozen and stuck inside. We have never encountered a situation where the neck and giblets are missing, but it is not impossible, as each turkey is handled by a person, not machines. Because of your distance, we are unable to get you another package of giblets today. If you don't find them, do let us know. We can offer you a $5 credit towards a future Elmwood purchase. We literally go to farmer's market every Saturday. We stopped at home picking to get flowers . Its…read more10.00 for 3 stems and you pick what you want. I've been buying flowers from them for about a month now. (The secret to keep your flowers alive longer is to add a cup full of vodka to cold water and an ice cube). I change my water on a daily basis using this method and my flowers last a full 7 days). We also stopped at Nate's to get coffee. I got a cold brew with foam and a shot of toasted marshmallow. My friend got a drip coffee and a bagel with spinach artichoke spread. She said it was really good but on the messy side to eat. I also picked up a jar of carrot cake jam from salad days. There were jewelry booths, that included homemade soap, vegetables fruits, baked goods , fresh pasta, different condiments and spices, rubs, beer, cheese, and assortment of beef, chicken,pork, farm fresh eggs and so on. It was busier than normal today but I think that had a lot to do with people graduating and the fact that the previous weekend was derby so people were out of town. The people selling fresh flowers were extra busy because tomorrow is mother's day. We saw a variety of dogs too which is normal. I like that the main area of the market is sheltered so you have protection from the weather elements and shade for when it gets hot in the summer.

You can tell when speaking with someone how they care for their farm and cattle Jeremy loves being a farmer and thank God for him and all the farmers who spend their lives making sure we are fed. They grow vegetables and strawberries we can't wait to see what is in season soon. Nice drive out and not far. You gotta check this great farm out.
