You can tell when speaking with someone how they care for their farm and cattle Jeremy loves being a farmer and thank God for him and all the farmers who spend their lives making sure we are fed. They grow vegetables and strawberries we can't wait to see what is in season soon. Nice drive out and not far. You gotta check this great farm out. They also have great fruit in season and fresh eggs, delicious baked goods and more. Today I made a delicious skilletmeal using cabbage and Kale from Doves Landing. I also sautéed onion, browned ground beef and added quinoa that I had cooked in my instant pot. This can be done with lots of different vegetables from Dove's Landing and meats of your choice.

I assumed the market was contained to the pavilion but to my surprise I realized the market also lined portions of the streets and around the pavilion. We got there around noon and there was so much to look at. I was drawn to the Dubai brownie but we had lunch right before walking to the market. At the flower table we stopped at I got three stems for 10.00. They do take cash or you can go to the farmer's market information table and buy tokens for your purchase. The fresh produce looked really good long with the baked items on several tables. There is a table that does handmade pasta that looked really good. Since I watch my carb intake sadly I past that table up they also had mini meatballs made with a mix of pork and beef. There was a variety of cheeses, wines, beer, some tee shirts, a food truck that had really interesting drinks and different flavored lemonade flavors. I love seeing all the dogs at the market and although we don't have a dog I thought about getting a cat backpack and taking our cat.

Then we met one of the stallions and fed him carrots. We got in our cars and drove to meet some mares and foals. Took a bit for the mares to come and greet us but they all did eventually. Very friendly horses, especially when you have carrots. Lastly we saw the yearling fillies. Beautiful setting. This was so fun, highly recommend if in the area.

They might have pork, lamb, or beef in any sort of cut (rump roast, sirloin steak, "neck slices", filets, bacon, varietal sausages and beef sticks, etc etc etc) and there's no telling what you're going to find here at any certain time. However, since students are making the product, it's usually quite inexpensive and always of good quality. Plus, all the meat is local, which always tastes better I don't care what anyone say. The bad news is that it's hard to find, the hours are extremely limited, and it's first-come-first-serve. Shop at your own risk, or just let me keep this place to myself.

The playground is a huge hit--there's a large slide structure, jumping pillows, and plenty of smaller play options for toddlers. My favorite newer addition has been the fall corn maze--such a fun experience! After playing, the kids love grabbing a treat or ice cream in the market. In the market, I usually stock up on cider, preserves, and fresh fruit--and I always grab a bottle of Wise Bird Cider (so good). They also offer baking mixes, vegetables, meats, and more. You'll find seasonal favorites like strawberries, apples, and pumpkins throughout the year, and everything is consistently fresh and delicious. We make it a tradition to buy strawberries in May, grab peaches during the summer, and pick apples in early fall. Stepping Stone also serves as a wedding and private events venue, and I often see school field trips there as well. The owners and staff are absolute sweethearts, and it's clear they genuinely care about what they do. They're wonderful community partners, and it really shows.
