Shoes are boring same in every other "boutique" and dresses always have a weird neck line or big pieces missing or too short. Come on get some class. Also the Jeans now days sometime a miss too. Mostly too the workers and own are not nice. I always ask myself why I continue to support a store who is never happy to see us and most of the time doesn't even ask if we need help. We probably come in once a month just with the hopes they will have some better clothes but sadly we end up buying online.

I had the pleasure of working with Maddy on my last visit and she was beyond helpfull. Trying on clothes was a challenge to be sure and I am lucky to have a great husband. Maddy helped me find some pieces I needed. Tried them on and with all of the effort I was exhausted and glistening. At the counter she graciously turned the fan on me to cool me off and then retrieved a bottle of cold water. She helped in every way possible to assist me in this shopping expedition. The staff needs serious customer service training!! I have chatted with the owners a couple of times, and they're nice, but the staff needs training!! I went into the Wylie location yesterday; I noticed the sign at the front door, which outlined the "SALE" (see picture) that was going on. With that info, we proceeded to shop around... there's so much OLD product, put out the "good stuff"; why save it for another sale... so you can market it as "we have so many ..... ?? ..."! That IS bad business! Then, as we were browsing, there was an audio announcement that verbally outlined the sale in place (RED 40% off... no discount on Blue or Green ... etc.), but it was the opposite of what was displayed on the sign ... RED 20% off GREEN & BLUE 40% off... - Who decides which sale gets applied?? So, I walked over to the counter to ask about it. They (rudely) pointed me to the outdoor sign, to which I repeated that the speaker announcement had stated there was a completely different sale. They dismissed me. They said: Well, the lady who does our social media has been out for a few days... and it's not up to date...". I noted that the information is confusing to the customers (who also acknowledged the same issue - and laughed with me!). One of the girls rolled her eyes... We put our things down and walked out! What a shame! I went into a neighboring store and ran into the same lady who was at Uptown Cheapskate. She mentioned that there are always issues at that location, suggesting that it often appears they don't care. She also agreed that the customer service is consistently terrible. I will SAVE MY $$ and shop elsewhere! Hey Owners... you get what you give! Step up your game if you want people's business... we DO have a choice!

I was never asked that, I started looking for mirror again I was never asked if I needed assistance or help. I ask the associate at the register did they have mirrors. She gave me a dry "they're in the back". On a whole I love Torrid but I will NEVER RETURN TO THE TORRID IN ALLEN OUTLET MALL. Before you ask no one was in the store when I enter also yes I'm a person color and the couple were white. I felt very offended. I'm totally shocked Torrid employ folks like this. The store was set up nice and still felt like the brand. The store is of course much smaller than WHBM stores, it definitely retained the brand, unlike so many other outlet stores. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and helpful (without being overly salesy...you know what I mean). The items in the store had current trends and not just full of reject styles like other outlets. I purchased two pairs of jeans that I know were regularly around $88 and were on special for $29.99. If you are a WHBM fan, it would be worth a trip to check it out. They had a good balance of casual and dressy items (I did almost get another little black dress as well). I do tend to purchase many items on the WHBM website since I know how their clothes fit me, but I did buy jeans that I didn't buy online because I wasn't sure how they felt or what the fabric was like.
