This is an honest review of the new era. The direction by the new owners is horrible. As a longtime…read moresupporter for 20+ years and now on our 3rd team we are about to call it quits on the ballpark. 1. The ticket prices are way too high for the market you are located in for a family of three it is $40 to just walk in the door. The service fees of being cashless is killing the goers as well. 2. This year (year 2) you got rid of all of the things that made paying the $40 worth it. There is no pizza, so we stopped paying for food because our kid does not want the hotdogs. They are always overcooked, the burgers are 10x worse than last year, and just the prices again. $4 bucks for a black hotdog is crazy. 3. There is no thirsty Thursdays with beer specials. Yes, you have $2 PBR on Tuesday, but no one wants to drink on a Tuesday and honestly not PBR. They used to have Busch light or Natty light. Even just doing 2 bucks off would be better than what they are currently doing. Also, getting rid of Draft was the DUMBEST thing they could have done for ball lovers. We used to go to 3-4 games a week we are down to maybe 2-3 a month and that is even becoming a stretch. To have less than 150 in seats filled on a Friday night game is shameful to the legend of the park and to Kinston. Management needs to do better and fast. There were 3x the people at the WoodDucks last season nightly then currently. The direction now will have the Bird Dawgs headed to the pound for a new home soon.

Great time with the family.. games for the kids to play and they like to get kids involved with mascot at intermissions racing and doing different things. I love coming the staff is amazing! The mascot was very interactive with the fans . The venue is very safe as there were several cops inside walking around. I will definitely be back

Great big race track way out in the middle of no where. I mean it's way out in the country…read more However, it's a pretty good size too. I wanted to go to a race track this weekend to watch drag racing. The advertising "flyer" on Facebook mentioned motorcycle rally but it also said drag racing. Advertising: So, I thought I would see motorcycles and cars drag racing. The flyer also said dirt drag races too. On Scene: Approaching race track, I saw signs that said spectators entrance to the right of race track. I parked close by gate and walked to entrance where I paid $20. Ticket counter sales person said I could catch shuttle that would take me closer to grandstands. She also said shuttle would bring me back as it will be making continuous trips. However, I had to walk all the way back to back main entrance after waiting 30 minutes for him in the hot sun. However, Shuttle operator just parked shuttle at main back entrance and got off and was talking to his friends instead of working. I told Ticket operators about this and she says "sorry". She said racing will start up again in a couple hours since it was so hot. So, I left and went back to hotel and told her I will be back in a couple hours. On Scene 2nd time: So, I came back a couple hours later around 7pm when the sun was going down and it was cooler. I showed my arm band which I kept on my wrist so I wouldn't have to pay admission again. Again, shuttle operators not on shuttle. He yelled out get on shuttle and " I will be over there in a second". He finally came but with an attitude this time. He got in drivers seat and turned toward me and said let me call track owner and see if she will let you drive to grandstand area. He came back and said I could. So, I walk back to truck and go through gate showing my arm band. For the first time ever, I saw the Hells Angels motorcycle club at the same place I was. They were selling their stuff and riding their motorcycles which was I thought was pretty cool. I have always wanted to ride motorcycles. So, I have an Interest in motorcycles as I have a motorcycle endorsement on my license. In summary, there was no dirt track drag racing, no race car drag racing and only a few drag races between motorcycles. I did have a good time but I thought it would be better if there had been race car drag races which I was led to believe they were having. Final Thoughts: I will be back for drag races another day. When I do, I might update my experience at that time. So, I might come back. We will just have to wait and see.

The older ones in our group signed up to race on the street car and had a blast. For only $20 you can enter your street car, or $10 to get in just to watch. It was the most fun we had in a long time around here. I would recommend to anyone specially since there is not much to do around this area.

Having been involved in many higher education conference, training and education facilities, I feel that I am an expert. Through my professional and volunteer experiences, my credentials include being very active in the SigEp Fraternity, Student Government Association, and Interfraternity Council at UNC CHARLOTTE, serving as President of the New York Chapter of the Transportation Research Forum, and being a very active member of the American Public Transportation Association, which took me to conferences and meetings at many higher learning institutions including NJIT, the University of Illinois Chicago, the University of South Florida in Tampa, and the Georgia Tech Conference Center in Atlanta. I have also been to many convention centers and hotel and commercial meeting rooms. Without knowing the pricing, but assuming the NC State McKimmon Center is competitive, I have to say that the facilities are nice and seem to be a good bet for any conference, training exercise, or meeting. The facility has a very nice academic feel while still being inviting to industry, students, and people attending seminars, like me. It strikes a good balance between a professional conference environment and a welcoming campus atmosphere.

Since it's university-owned, I understand that they want to be cost-conscious but it's just not anything that would attract a major conference with an expo. The breakfast and lunch provided were pretty pedestrian, and it would have been nice to have soft drinks other than ice tea. I suppose that's all negotiated in the meeting contracts.
