Our granite was not sealed properly and has white stains all around it on the brown granite. Several people have told us that it is due to not being sealed properly and that our only options are to replace it or attempt to have it sanded and resealed...both very expensive options. Our realtor reached out to the inspector who told her that it is "purely cosmetic." Great, thousands of dollars are purely cosmetic. I would have chosen someone else had we known. The pool chlorinator was not working and even said it on there when we moved in. We assumed everything was working until we looked at it because it was also included in the inspection. This was our first experience with a pool chlorinator, but the pool people we called to come by told us that anyone experienced with pool stuff would have been able to easily tell that it is broken by the lights on it. The pool equipment had a filter that was sitting in 5 inches of sand, clearly had not been opened or inspected in a very long time. The built in microwave is broken and has been broken the day we moved in. This is also very expensive to fix. But, I am sure we will be told that this is also "purely cosmetic." Who needs a microwave? I could just keep listing more and more issues that we have had with this house due to unrecognized issues. There were so many other problems with this house. It has cost us thousands of dollars. The inadequate response from them was even worse. When you buy an expensive home, you want to feel that your inspector actually did a thorough job, especially since there were other much cheaper home inspectors. We would not recommend them to anyone, they clearly focus more on the bungalows than on the mansions. We sent them an email and received NO response. The only response we received was through our realtor.

He gets the ladder out but yet he does not even climb up on the ladder because he's elderly. He cannot climb up stairs or on ladders for roofs. He cannot climb on. He will not climb on. He will tell you that he will get into the attics and on top of the roof but he will do no such thing. The gentleman is about 76 years old and needs to retire. He should not be in the home inspection business. He does not know what he's doing. He claims he's been doing it for 20 years. I can tell you I have been selling real estate for 20 years and have fired over a thousand home inspectors that do not do their job, that steal money from the consumer, and that is exactly what he does. He takes money from good, hardworking, honest folks and does not perform a decent inspection and sets the homeowners up for failure.
