I had a job that really took a toll on my muscles and I needed something I could access at odd hours of the day since my work hours were not consistent. I haphazardly started following along to one of the videos even though my intention was to just lay on the floor in the heat. needless to say, it was amazing. I'm not someone who regularly works out and I'm not even someone who likes the heat but I knew the infrared would be good for my tired muscles. Somehow, the infrared sauna makes it easier to move. And strangely, even though you're sweating, you feel so much cleaner afterward because your pores have just released everything! Make sure to drink lots of water so you don't pass out but I highly recommend this particular location. Everyone is so friendly but if you want to work out in private, like I did, the app is so useful in being able to see if anyone else is in the sauna you would like to book. There are even fun monthly challenges on little pamphlets you can fill out to help keep you motivated and going in on a regular basis. I really like that it's not weight oriented and more just about getting your body moving.

I signed up for a 3 month membership, not that they gave me a contract. The manager Clarissa just…read moretook my credit card and entered it into their system, no problem. That should have been my first warning. After fulfilling my 3rd payment, I found out that I need to have surgery and won't be able to attend anymore classes during recovery. And after I recover, I'll be moving out of state to care for my dad. So I submitted a cancellation request. I tried to do it through the app as it suggested but it just told me to call or visit the studio. When I called, no one answered and I thought, I'll be there in 2 days so I'll let them know then. When I got there, the girl told me she was 'just the weekend help' and couldn't cancel my policy and I would need to email the manager Clarissa. Okay, no big deal. So I did. But apparently by the time I got in touch with her I was a few days past the "30 day policy". Now, I've already payment for the 3 month program I agreed to, so why should I need to cancel anything to begin with. To me, this was just a curtesy so they wouldn't auto charge me for another month. But Clarissa tells me that I've missed the cut off time so I'll be charged another $300 for 8 classes that I won't even be able to use and says perkily in the email that they look forward to seeing me after my recovery. Which tells me 2 things. She didn't pay any attention to what I actually said in the email and she simply doesn't care. So I call, express my disappointment and she offers to escalate my concerns, which I agree to. Then, I get an email from Hannah, the Regional Manager telling me that despite my surgery and moving out of state, they have to be consistent with their policy for all members and (again) that I'll have access to the club through the end of August and they hope to see me there. Now someone make it make sense. I've told them I won't be medically capable or logistically capable of attending classes but they still tell me they hope to see me there? This company, admittedly, may have great instructors and great classes but they have no care for their members except for the money their members are bringing in. This is a company that I would rather cut of my nose to spite my face than ever deal with again. Most companies have medical policies or relocation policies in place for members that are dealing with real life situations, but not Club Pilates. Admittedly, I should have asked for the contract before signing up, that is most definitely my fault. With that being said, their predatory practices of signing you up without offering a contract and making it oh so easy to become a member without having to sign on the dotted line are disgusting. I will NEVER sign up with this company again. Lesson learned.

This was my first time doing this kind of workout class. I was walking in the market and main and…read moresaw the building sign for it and I noted in my head to look up what it was. This class was definitely hard as a beginner but I tried to remember that this is new to your body and to give myself some grace. I did need some breaks but all in all the instructors tell you to listen to your body but they motivate you to keep going. It was a great class definitely will come back I signed up for 2 more classes of MEGA: Essentials. Which is their beginner class or for those who want to perfect their form. I do wish they had a 30 minute intro class that really went over the machines because it was hard to hear over the headset the instructors wear and I did find myself looking up and watching what others were doing. But still it was easy to keep up and understand after doing it once.

The trainers create purposeful 30 min training plans for the group, switching things up daily to make it interesting and challenging. They are flexible with accommodations (shoulder for me). I've tried 3 of the specialty classes - motivating and fun! Yoga practice is exceptional - the sessions are excellent and thoughtful - my flexibility is up and my stress level is down. Nutrition program is relatively new and I haven't taken full advantage, but you can use as much or as little as you want; I take recipe ideas and short term challenges that help motivate me. I've recently become a fan of green drinks, which I would never have done on my own! Useful info on healthy lifestyle, graceful aging and life balance.
