Never bring your child here for the summer camp…read more I have life long trauma from coming here as a child, and I think it's important to let others know what I went through. While the gymnastics part was fun, I was bullied by another kid in the camp for several summers and staff never did anything about it. This person tried to drown me during a field trip to the YMCA, locked me in the bathrooms and wouldn't let me leave until I did what she said, jabbed at my eyes, and verbally abused me. My parents were clear with the staff that the bullying needed to stop and needed to be monitored, but the staff did not care. This has forever left a bad taste in my mouth about Mills, making it a scary and uncomfortable memory. I would hope they strive to give every kid a good experience from now and instead of leaving them with lasting trauma. Do better.

Since we had never been there before I went to the front desk to get some instructions, they were very little help. When they came to get students for the class it was a very young girl who spoke very softly, went to the gym and had no idea where to go. Again, very little help. No introduction for a newbie, my toddler wanted to play, the instructor wanted to do more of a party cake pretend wash your hands exercise. Not what I had in mind. The instructors are very young girls, the front desk workers are very young . I wanted a place for her to get some exercise and play, not sit and do hand gestures. Maybe my kid is just different but she has a lot of energy.

I've seen my daughter steadily grow in confidence in trying new skills - even if it's scary at first. She loves engaging with the coaches, and they are exceptionally good at managing the little ones. Would it by nice if they had a changing room? yes, but it's not that much of a hassle to dress them before going to the gym. Suggest picking an earlier class to avoid issues with parking or the waiting area being crowded. Very good job managing pandemic mask issues.

My daughters been here 6 weeks so far for group. She did a trial on weekend and wanted to go back…read more The woman incessantly called until we signed up. After 6 weeks I see no improvement, this is her first time with gymnastics. I feel I could personally make more progress with her in 10 minutes than the whole 60 minute session. The station instructors do literally NO 1 on 1 help. I complained last time the instructors are doing nothing with my daughter. She made excuses that 6 weeks isn't long. We reviewed my daughters score card, she was the lowest scoring in the lowest group. I told her my elementary school gym teacher taught me more than this place does in a couple gym glasses. I specifically pointed out the two instructors that were doing nothing, stating it's blatantly obvious she's struggling and no help was given. She said she'd say something and they'd adjust it next time. Now here the following week and they're basically ignoring my child. The instructors seem to ignore the kids that aren't already good, and work MORE with the ones that are ALREADY GOOD. After the next two weeks I've paid for, I'm pulling my kid out. This is a money trap, poised as a teaching environment from our experience. Don't bother.

She has a great personality, awesome stories, and made everyone feel very comfortable doing something outside of their comfort zone (or at least as comfortable as you could be). As the other reviewer noted, we two routines: pole and chair. Very fun (and difficult)! She has a lounge space off to the side that was perfect for setting up a mimosa station and relaxing a bit. She was really flexible and clearly a pro at hosting these types of events. My friends and I definitely want to go back for some of her pole dancing exercise classes sometime! Definitely check her place out for your next girls' night!

2021-05-08. IRC@TG3. Troy, MI…read more Over the years, Troy Gymnastics has expanded. Troy Gymnastics has several facilities, but all are in the Troy area and are close to each other. This location, Troy Gymnastics 3 is right next to Troy Gymnastics 4, their swim school. In addition to being a full Gymnastic facility, Troy Gym 3 also has an Indoor Ropes Course. Ropes Courses have been the fastest expanding business in the last few years and is continuing to gain traction especially with the younger kids. It's a great way to get in some physical activity and social distance at the same time so it's COVID friendly. Like most other active indoor center a waiver needs to be signed, and for this indoor ropes course, participants need to have a reach of 54 inches, so kids as young as 8 can participate (average height of girls at age 8 is about 47 inches). If you have even younger ones, they can participate in the Munchkins Ropes Course at TG4. Their website states that the IRC@TC3 is open on Saturday's only from 16:00 - 20:00, but this may be COVID hours. Bookings can only be made via online reservation. Email communication is very good, and we received a response within one business day despite the site stating that responses are 1-3 business days. Bookings for the IRC need to be made 2-7 days in advance. Pricing and times vary. In a nutshell, weekday climbs are $12/hour and weekend climbs are $15/hour. The facility is 42,000 sq. ft. and there is an area upstairs overlooking the gym floor for parents and guardians as well as lockers and restrooms. There is no food or drink available for purchase. Tip: Sometimes there are deals on Groupon, but those deals come with restrictions. Read the fine print carefully before purchasing. When we reached out to them online we asked for a deal rather than going through Groupon and they accommodated provided we had a minimum party of 4. While we already had four, it was a good deal so told some friends. In the end it was a win-win for all. We got a deal on the price, and business for them went from 4 to 15! Since it was indoor, and a ropes course can get most to work up quite a sweat, I recommend you dress in something comfortable and light. Avoid loose and baggy clothing and make sure your wear a comfortable pair of shoes (tennis or cross training shoes). Also bring a water bottle and make sure it's full, you'll need it afterwards! No experience is needed and it's 100% safe. Before you venture out onto the course, they train you on how to safely navigate the double locking harnesses on a miniature build. There are also several checkpoints throughout the course where you can respectfully end, start, or resume your journey should you need a break. But if you can complete the entire course in one fell swoop, you'll earn bragging rights and will get the opportunity to leave your mark on the miniature training build for all others to see. We were lucky today, the Gymnastics floor was closed so we had the entire place pretty much to ourselves and I was able to get some nice pics and videos of the kids. Overall, it was a great experience. We've done TreeRunner Adventure Park last year at OU, which was an outdoor ropes course, and this was our first indoor one. It was much warmer being inside, but just as exhausting. They did have a zip line, but it wasn't really a zip line. The line travels from A to B, but then you kind of swing back and forth like a pendulum and eventually end up resting in the middle of the line. Still a great activity and fun for all. If you've never been, I recommend you try this at least once. 4 stars. Almost forgot, masks are required at all times.
